Moved from Helena park to Helena sands on arrival, seems to be an upgrade although both hotels are similar and facilities shared. Nice food. Good value. All inclusive worth the money. The pool was cold in September but the indoor heated pool and spa facilities were nice. Staff at the hotel friendly.
Stayed for one week on my own, felt very safe. Hotel food was fab and I met so many people from UK and Ireland it was a friendly place. Sunny Beach 20 min walk which I liked and plenty still opened, although I did stay in hotel at night. Entertainment not good but hotel lovely to relax. Big Shout out to Martin and Shirley from Linwood Scotland the most friendliest and nicest couple you could meet when travelling alone. Take care u Beauts. Rooms good and Seaview.
Currently here, the entertainment is diabolical , 5 star its joke , 1 part closed 1 restaurant available , staff are very miserable , never been before and won't be coming back, bar closes at 11 :30 not 12 , on the plus side food very good , hotel is spotless but very boring. Don't come in Sept, everything is closing . 😒
Returned from a fantastic weeks holiday, would have loved to have stayed even longer. Definitely a 5 star resort hotel , top quality and excellent value for money. The staff went out their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible, English spoken as second language. Large Rooms cleaned daily, incl towels. Pool area very clean, plenty of sunbeds , towels provided. Ease of access to their designated beach area with free sunbeds available. Extensive range of food to cater for all palates. I would be surprised you find the food disappointing! Local drinks offered on all inclusive but option to go ultra inclusive if you desire. Hotel is away from the hustle and noisy bars etc but easy to access local shops stalls and bars by foot or you can take the promenade train , it’s cheap and fun if you desire. Only downside is a disappointing evening entertainment but the entertainment team went above and beyond to do their best. If you want a relaxing chilled out hotel, you will have to look hard to find a better place. We will definitely be booking this hotel again for a third visit and highly recommend it to all of you. P.s special mention to the bar staff ( best in Sunny beach without doubt the talented entertainment team ( 88 two fat ladies 🤣!!) who made our stay even more memorable.…
Stayed here with jet2. On arrival we were put in the helena sands hotel. Amazing hotel fantastic staff the food is incredible. Best hotel I have stayed in. Jet2 state that the transfer time is 45 minutes when in fact it's 1 jour and 30 minutes which is fine if you're told that's what it is. This didn't take anything away from our holiday. Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful hotel lovely rooms food pool spotlessly clean . Entertainment was poor for a 5star hotel & all inclusive bar closed and hr earlier than stated . But other wise everything was fine would stay at this hotel again
We enjoyed the pool very much, and we are a family with lots of children so having a good animation team that can give me and husband some free time is a very hard worker. We enjoyed the food very much and we will be back here in August. One thing we dient like is the receptionist staff.
We departed Helena Sands / Helena park on 6th June 2022. This was our 4th visit to Helena resort. We purchased a ten night stay at Helena Park, however because this hotel was not yet fully open we were moved to the Helena Sands which adjoins it. The weather was hot, even at the end of May. We were a little unsure what clothes to pack for this time of year, but even in the evening it was pleasant. I was comfortable wearing shorts at 1am. Not a single mosquito in sight for the whole of our stay. The hotel is situated in the quieter part of Sunny beach, directly opposite a beautiful beach. Turning right at the back entrance of the hotel, within 5 minutes walk from the hotel it starts to get busy with shops and bars. The main flower street is a 20 minute walk. Here it's very busy with bars and restaurants. We especially loved 'the Vagabonds' that play live nightly at the happy bar pub in flower street. Great for all ages. Upon arrival at the hotel a very helpful, friendly consierge arranged for our luggage to find its way to our room First impression was it was very clean. We often saw maids still cleaning just before midnight. The hotel does have its own private beach and beach loungers are free to hotel guests. It also has its own beach bar, though drinks not included in the all inclusive. Firstly we paid for a standard room, be warned though as you may end up with a balcony view like ours, a closed hotel opposite. We did ask if there was another option but reception said we must pay more to upgrade. Bedrooms were large, beds were super king sized and had a great sleep. The air con wasn't working for first 3 days and it was very uncomfortable, but once fixed it was lovely and cool. We then had a great night's sleep. Nearly all bars in sunny beach offer 'two for one' cocktails, best advice is to steer clear of any of these l because these are all rancid, the cheaper local brands and sickly cola. I'm afraid to say the hotels beach bar is the same. It's not permissible to take drinks from the hotel across road to beach. Additionally most of the hotel drinks are not much better. We purchased a bottle of coke from the aldo super market opposite and take this out with us. The local beer served at the hotel was good. One good point was Grants whisky was included to all inclusive guests. The hotel bar closed around 11.30 each night. Between the two hotels, there are two outdoor pools and one indoor. The outdoor pools are a little cool when you first get into the water but it was lovely to cool down. We tended to hang out in the smaller helena park pool as it was handy for the pool bar, and the great pizzas and salads served at the 'Blue Lagoon'. This pool was also a little more livelier. A special mention to firstly George at this pool bar that made us cocktails made with fruit juice. Also what made our holiday was the waitress at the blue lagoon. We got really close to her, she is 70 and retires this year. We were left with lovely lasting memories of her. The hotel grounds are stunningly landscaped with beautiful flowers. The saunas and steam rooms were free to use for hotel guests. The animation team were great fun and really tried to mingle and got to know guests. A really nice touch. The food at the hotel is awesome, one of the best dining experiences from my years of holidaying. Lots of variety and a big plus for the hotel. If I could offer constructive criticism to the hotel: - Firstly the poor standard of most alcoholic spirits and colas. -Secondly, the only Al a carte restaurant at the hotel is not covered in the all inclusive. I compare this to other resorts and hotels we have stayed in. - Thirdly the service at the Helena 'Sands' main indoor bar. There are two barmen that were very rude to hotel guests, including my wife. I could hear a lot of other complaints about them as guests talked with each other. Guests are excited at staying at this hotel, and it would be a shame if this was 'the' lasting memory that guests went home with. I'm sure these are decent people in real life but maybe a quiet word to educate or re-train them. A smile goes a long way and especially as British guests like to tip their favorite bar staff. In contrast the bar staff in Helena Park were lovely. We have stayed at a few other hotels in sunny beach. All in all, our view is this is still the best hotel in sunny beach, but could be further improved. If your looking for things to do during your stay, Nessebar is a must (world heritage site). Amongst other things you will discover 'Michael's Eco Bar' which is a small cave like bar where you watch little terrapins running about, it's awesome. There is a ferry that leaves nessebar to the pier at sunny beach flower street, for 15 Lev (£6). I would encourage anyone to get the 30 minutes ferry just before sunset & make a point of sitting outside at the front of the boat, while the sun sets. Magical. Another wow, is to visit Khan's Tent. Prices have risen since our last visit. Was £25 per person a couple of years back, to £40 now. Though still worth every penny.…
The hotel was very nice and the staff was very helpful and polite. The food was fresh and tasty and we enjoyed every day breakfast outside on the garden terrace. The beach was not crowded and we had our privacy near beach bar. We loved the surroundings, the beautiful gardens very well maintained and the pool area.
Royal Palace Helena Park Hotel is the best hotel in Sunny Beach for me. I was there before some years - in October 2011. The hotel is one of the biggest hotels in Sunny Beach. The staff was kind and the food was perfect.
