Helena Park Hotel garners praise for its spacious, immaculate rooms and is celebrated for a prime location that's a stone's throw from tranquil beaches and local attractions. While the hotel's vibrant atmosphere, animated by karaoke and shows, is a hit with many guests, opinions on value and service vary; some commend the attentive staff and on-site entertainment, yet others recount experiences with less-than-stellar service and call for updated amenities.
Despite some criticisms, the hotel's cleanliness and amenities generally receive positive remarks from visitors.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed at the Helena Park hotel end of May, first two weeks 2023. The location was idea for two 70 year olds. A 2 lev bus ride to St Vila’s or Sunny Beach centre, 3lev to Nessebar from the bus stop directly outside the hotel was a bonus. The hotel staff were professional and very friendly and very helpful. Rooms cleaned daily, beds new and very comfortable. The choice of food at meal times and also on theme nights was superb - waiters and waitresses were brilliant and exceptionally efficient. Always lots of sun beds around the pool and on the beach. The staff provided a birthday cake on my birthday and to my embarrassment sang happy birthday. We have been travelling to Bulgaria regularly over the last ten years, at least twenty visit and this was the best hotel we have visited. Already booked to go back next year.

Sitting in my room writing this review. We're on our last day of week 1 of 2 & are very pleased in whole with our choice of hotels. The room is very spacious & with plenty of storage. There's 2 single beds pushed together to make a king size, a comfortable sofa, stocked mini bar (free for 1st use then charged if you want it restocked) coffee table, tv, kettle & dressing table & chair. The bathroom is also a good size with powerful shower over a deep bath, lots of mirrors around sink & hairdryer. There's also free toiletries. Balcony is decent size with table & 2 chairs. There's free air con & safe with the added bonus of not having to leave key in for air con to work so you can have your room nice & cool for your return. We're not sunbed worshippers but if we were then we wouldn't have a problem getting them by the pool, there's been loads free every day since we've been here. A couple of our friends have used the indoor pool too & said it was great. We also book AI & i have to say, this is the best we've ever had. The quality & selection at breakfast, lunch & evening meal have been fantastic & the drinks are a good standard too. Beer is nice, sparking wine is nice, soft drinks are all branded, coke, fanta & sprite & the mrs says the cocktails are a good strength. All the staff we have encountered so far from the manager at reception through the waiting staff down to the cleaners & bell boy have all been very pleasant & helpful when needed. We haven't needed to use the snack bar so i can't comment on that but going by the quality of food in main restaurant, I'd presume that they'd be equally good. There's nice big comfy sofas inside the lobby bar next to reception. Unfortunately & strangely considering the standard of this hotel, there is no comfortable seating whatsoever outside for relaxing with a drink. The seats outside the restaurant are heavy wooden chairs with no cushions & the seats outside the bar area are the hard wicker type, again with no cushions & also quite tight if you're a larger size like myself. This is the only thing that is letting this fab hotel down & wouldn't take much to rectify. If you have mobility issues then you might struggle with the high steps around the hotel grounds & i did see 1 lady struggling with her stroller around the footpaths as it's all uneven paving. The whole place has a nice chilled feel to it, not many kids running around which is a big bonus & i wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, i just hope they update the outdoor seating areas. If you come here, you'll have a great holiday. Thanks to all of the staff from 6 happy Geordie's.

Just returned home from a week at this fantastic clean hotel, staff are so friendly in all areas from cleaners to reception to restaurant to chefs.Nice food choices every day something for everyone fish, meats, salads, freshly made pizzas to name but a few & lovely desserts & ice-cream’s.
The pool is lovely once you’re in it as the waters a little cold, good for cooling down in the heat we had some 35 degrees day so was well needed.Never once had a problem getting a sun bed & parasol plenty round the pool to choose from.Clean pool towels every day just change them daily with the pool attendant/ lifeguard.
The friendly & talented animations team at this hotel are brilliant working day & night entertaining guests with different activities is you wish to join in.
Two minute walk to the lovely beach, 20 -25 minute slow walk to “Flower Street “or 5-10 minutes on the land train which starts just outside the hotels beach exit & drops you right in the centre, cost 6 lev each, each way, but have the right money or they’ll tell you they haven’t got any change & it could end up costing you more.
Had a lovely day trip out to beautiful Old Nessebar a place well worth a visit, then got the sea taxi back to Flower Street which was also brilliant.
A great week Thankyou 😃

Although we visited in Sept 22 we are back again this year (Sept 23) this will be out 10th time staying in this particular hotel, the reason being is that it has all we need, Very clean large and comfortable rooms that are cleaned daily by the lovely staff - Food is excellent (My husband is quite fussy ) but always has something to enjoy. The Waitress/Waiters and bar staff are well trained polite and know their jobs.
Admittingly it may not be the ideal place for a family with children but there is a lovely safe area for them to play and swim and the entertainment team do a great job not only with the children but also evening entertainment for the adults. We have to remember they are not trained actors/actresses and give their very best at what they do.
We have always recommended the Helena Park to friends and family - perhaps too much as now its hard to book

Room was clean, staff lovely, food absolutely vile, cold and tasteless.
Not sure why people rave about the food here, worst I’ve ever had and I don’t consider myself to be a fussy eater.
Sunbeds around the pool have a thin mat on, if your lucky enough to get one that is…..whilst other selfish greedy people thought it was acceptable to have 3/4 of these mats on one bed, hotel staff refused to challenge these people meaning residents had to challenge those with more than one may leading to confrontations that didn’t need to happen, hotel staff should of took action
Very poor customer service

This is a mixed review as some aspects of the hotel are great but others really let it down. Reception staff are wonderful, courteous and professional- a credit to the hotel……shame that cannot be said of some of the other staff - the lifeguard / towel man was rude, aggressive and intimidating to several guests which resulted in a number of complaints to the tour operator rep and hotel management - one of the complainants was an elderly lady who had been made to cry by this ‘gentleman’. Some of the restaurant staff were really proactive and helpful whilst a majority wanted to stand around and chat to each other. The food was varied but only warm at best which is a shame as some of the dishes were presented well and really tasty. The all inclusive alcohol was weak, but a good variety. One aspect we tried was a theme evening - it wasn’t great - again cold food (some one within the hotel management really need to sort this out). The pool(at the Helena Park) is freezing cold - the sea was much warmer. The rooms are quite large but are tired and looking dated and the cleaning regime appeared to be hit and miss. Communal areas are great but the entertainment bar could do with far more seating / tables for the outside area as this is where most people wanted to sit.
Tui rate this hotel as a TTTT+ but I find it hard to see how this rating has been attained, particularly as the rep said the hotel was overpriced and overrated.
Location is about 200M from the beach so a great spot, to the main Sunny Beach strip it is about 25 minute walk or there is a land train that operates.
The big positive for the Helena Park is the animation team, they are a credit to the staff / hotel and really do interact with the holidaymakers of all ages - great crew
All in all the hotel is okay but nothing more than that - it could be so much better. We definitely won’t be visiting again any time soon

Returned from a fantastic weeks holiday, would have loved to have stayed even longer.
Definitely a 5 star resort hotel , top quality and excellent value for money. The staff went out their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible, English spoken as second language. Large Rooms cleaned daily, incl towels. Pool area very clean, plenty of sunbeds , towels provided. Ease of access to their designated beach area with free sunbeds available.
Extensive range of food to cater for all palates. I would be surprised you find the food disappointing!
Local drinks offered on all inclusive but option to go ultra inclusive if you desire.
Hotel is away from the hustle and noisy bars etc but easy to access local shops stalls and bars by foot or you can take the promenade train , it’s cheap and fun if you desire.
Only downside is a disappointing evening entertainment but the entertainment team went above and beyond to do their best.
If you want a relaxing chilled out hotel, you will have to look hard to find a better place. We will definitely be booking this hotel again for a third visit and highly recommend it to all of you.
P.s special mention to the bar staff ( best in Sunny beach without doubt the talented entertainment team ( 88 two fat ladies 🤣!!) who made our stay even more memorable.

Stayed here for a week with our two friends, what a fantastic hotel.
Rooms perfect, lots of space for clothes etc, cleaned every day.
Restaurant great and brilliant food, lots of choice. most times up to 4 meat choices and at least 2 fish dishes. daytime snacks also very good and varied. Bar staff are great, couldnt pronounce his name, looked like jocky wilson but we called him Grant after the whisky he was serving me. Yes large card cups for outside but you get a massive drink. The local gin, vodka rum was of a good standard, beer was ok. Day time entertainment included archery, darts, nice and easy stuff if you want to participate.
Evening was a karaoke, a singer and a local tradition show.
Never once short of a sunbed, all the staff were very pleasant.
Great location about a mile from the busy flower street but some good bars along the way, 10 minute stroll which have tribute acts and karaoke.
9 lev for 2 gin tonics or similar, its standard 2 4 1, 9 lev for two half litre beers.
Bus stop outside, 3 lev into Nessebur, do not get a taxi, they want 35 lev, we walked it, just 5 miles and got the bus back.
Easy stroll along the front, go over the bridge and through the sister hotel.
we travel a lot and will return to this hotel for sure.
Met some great Northerners like myself, if the Wigan boys are reading this, hope we see you around.

Excellent place, great location, tasteful food, friendly staff and management. Overall, great experience.
The location. There are two Helena hotels: Helena Park and Helena Sands; this is not counting the VIP addendum. Helena Sands is the one that is closer to the beach. We stayed at Helena Park, 2 -3 min walking to the beach passing through the Helena Sands. The hotel is at the northern side of the Sunny Beach, next to St Vlas, where there are some upscale resorts.
The food. Absolutely magnificent. Each day there was always something new on the menu. The Chef strolls to the restaurant every day and you can talk to him directly. Fresh and tasty dishes and very large variety.
The staff. Very friendly, always ready to help and serve.
