It's such a shame that the staff are so ignorant and rude apart from the cleaner .on 2 Nd floor doing rooms 30/ to 38 she is the friendless most helpful polite lady and the two young men on reception who were so polite and helpful ...the bar man ignored us wen wanted a drink if he could. he's the dark skinned skinny man but worst of all was the old women who was the undemanger or so called owner as she told us she's in her shes awful ignorant and does not care that we are paying for the holiday the younger manger that came down in the morning was very helpful and spoke quite good english .The food was cooked nice and I enjoyed the food. Alot if the time the food is the same. But nice and U can have different meats .not much choice of cakes but I wasn't bothered. .I would of thought on all-inclusive the children could of got ice cream all the time but only between 3 snd 5 where the snack bar opens. I wouldn't go again to this hotel as it's not English there was only 4 of us English in there and most of the staff are very ignorant to us English which makes it very uncomfortable. Like I say it's a shame as the hotel is nice .cleaning lady and the young lads lovely .but don't go if yr English 😢

Let's start with the positives - great location! It is just around the corner from the main party street and therefore close but quiet.
Negatives- everything else! I saw two cockroaches in our bathroom and they were huge (~5cm). When talking to the hotel staff they just smiled arrogantly and asked "Don't you have cockroaches in your country?"
Not in a 4* hotel!!!
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone as it was rather pricey for non existing quality.

The Yavor Palace staff have obviously been told to be friendly and they certainly are.
The hotel is clean and above average for the type of cheap accommodation we typically stay in. The breakfast was aimed at Brits abroad (fry up) who just want Britain in the sunshine - and this applied to most of the guests here.
Problems with the hotel included the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor and this then seeped into the room's carpet. Plus our bathroom light kept going out for minutes at a time resulting in showers being taken in the pitch dark. It was never fixed despite complaints to our rep.
Centrally located but be warned if you hire a car that it has no car park and the 'spider' patrols the streets to remove illegally parked cars.

Staff serving food well below the required temperature causing us both to have upset tummies. Food poorly cooked and displayed - most days same food. Despite paying for all inclusive had to source food and drink else where. Staff clearly not observing basic hygiene rules as a constant stream of staff leave the restaurant during service to stand at a door for a smoke before returning to the restaurant to continue with their duties. Not as advertised, there is no lobby bar in use only a crappy pool bar all drinks served in plastic beakers and it closes at 9 p.m not 10 as advertised. No snacks of pizza, hot dogs or hamburgers despite being advertised. facilities very basic and very dated. on two mornings cleaners and maintenance staff walked in despite door being locked with a key in at 7a.m whilst we were still in bed - no apologies offered and only left after my shouting for them to get out. Most days no hot water for washing or showers. Complaints are not acted on and are dismissed rudely. sun beds are mostly broken and water treatment for the pool was a staff member pouring what looked like salt from a bucket down one side of the pool. I have stayed in better hostels and would not recommend this place to anyone.

This hotel was in a convenient location within minutes walk from the bars/ restaurants etc but we were disappointed with this hotel, food was very basic and no entertainment whatsoever. Only one beach bar open. The cleaner woke us every morning at 9 to come and clean the room and even came into the room while we were still in bed. Reception staff were unwelcoming and rude. Not a 4 star hotel as advertised.

I read only negative comments related to this hotel, but I bought the vacation for the very low price (5 nights all inclusive, 210 eur). Honestly, I have been to much more praised hotels, and the services were poor. The rooms here are clean (they really need to be renovated), the food is not so diverse, but you have a lot to choose from. Quiet location, close to the center of the resort and the beach. At this price, I would come back.

Rice with vegetables and grilled vegetables first class. Also bread cheese ham and very good strong black coffee. Delicious drinks. Garden decorated with roses some trees provide shadow with Little wind. Only cold water in the swimming pool. Beach 10min walk the central entrance nice yellow sand warm sea. Sun bed to be paid 10 lewa sth like 5 euro. Also wi fi to be paid in hotel. Very good place for evening walking close to the main street with pubs playing music and hotel open 24h. Also very safe place to keep your personal things. Also not too expensive Just affordable. Reception understands some English and quite a bit of Polish.

If i could rate this Hotel 0 stars i would, The staff were rude and unhelpful and could barely string together a sentence in English. The food was absolutely vile, we had to eat out every night, tasteless, grey off colour meat, no water served at this all inclusive resort, no juice, weird tasting fizzy drinks, hot drinks only for 1 hour at an allocated time, no snacks, if you asked for a vodka they would give you Gin (maybe its cheaper for them), Vodka tasted like Washing up Liquid, the 'Water Park' next door is 3 unsafe looking slides, no entertainment what so ever, the hotel was full of Bulgarian and German people, so if you are English you'll be desperate to hear an English voice that understands you! To top this all off, someone broke into our locked room while we were asleep on the last night of our stay, took mine and my friends phones, my entire handluggage with some expensive items inside and our tickets home, the scary thing is my phone was on my pillow next to my head as we needed to wake up early for a flight, just so thankful we didnt wake up otherwise anything could of happened to us. The unsympathetic staff laughed at us and were reluctant to call the police, we definitely think the robbery was an inside job, this hotel is known for its robberies. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Just got back yesterday. Hotel is in a great location just round the corner from the strip. Room is quite nice, better than the pics in brochure.

Bathroom is nice with large shower. (watch u don't get burned as water is sooo hot) The carpet was quite nice I thought! Room is quite big and has 2 big mirrors, wardrobe, table, sofa bed chair, dressing table and chair with tv on top. TV has MTV, VH1, BBC World, Animal planet and discovery chanel as well as several music chanels.

I was quite impressed with the standards. Fridge was excellent and air con too. Maids were great, didn't come in too early and if you were in they would always come back. Even tidied up my mess! Towels and bed linen changed about 4 or 5 times at least in the 2 weeks we were there.
The pool is great for swimming, although everyone is playing with a ball!!! Which was really annoying. Water was up to my shoulders and I am 5ft2 so not that deep but deep enough.

If you want a sunbed get up before 9am at latest. I ended up getting up at 7.30am to get sunbeds then going back to bed. If you went down about 9am if any beds were left which sometimes there wasnt it would prob be crap ones that would be in the shade for a large part of the day. Sunbeds near the kids pool were the best got the sun all day.

I was B&B and only went the 1st day as food isnt up to much. There was toast, boiled eggs, fried eggs and some sort of hot meat and hot dog sausages.

Safety deposit boxes cost 5 lev about £1.80 per day ,£25 for 2 weeks and £12.50 for a week roughly. They are not in your room which I found strange. There is a room with loadz of safety deposit boxes with numbers and they give you one of them. I didn't find that too safe so chose to keep our money locked in our suitcase.

They do not offer a courtesy room and the receptionist was quite rude when we asked if there was anywhere we could get changed. She just kept saying "change change?" I think she may have though we wanted to change money but her tone was not very pleasant. The toilets are more than adequate they have a big mirror and a sink in each toilet. So just steal a towel from your room and take your own soap. They want £28 for a late checkout and you only get ur room until 6pm which i thought was crap.

Food is so cheap. Our cheapest meal was £6 We had a pint of beer, bottle of pepsi, large pizza, chips, and 2 garlic breads.
Most expensive meal was £20 at Mamacita's the mexican place next to McDonalds. Which was AMAZING! We both had 2 drinks each 1 starter and 2 main meals. Dearer than everywhere else but so worth the money. Everywhere has cocktails 2 for 1 and they are about 8 or 9lev which is about £3 for 2! Beers are about 3 lev most places which is about £1.10 but most on happy hour so you get 2. There are a few places that do bears for 1lev which is 35p!
Little burger bars are great too they do fab chicken kebaps which cost less than £2
Djannys is also great for food but you have 2 queue to get in. Which is fine if you are in a group of 4 or more as you get in very quick. But if only 2 of you, you will wait all day! We waited 25mins the time we went on our own, but got in within 5 mins when there were 5 of us! They do amazing chicken skewers, which cost about £3 and could feed and army! Beers are 1 lev in there 2 and cola!
Nightlife was def a disappointment. Well for me and my bf who are in our early twenties. Everyone in the nightclubs are foreign mainly GERMAN!!! AGHH Clubs are crap, we went to club Mania, which was quite big and looked good but music was awful. Disco Orange is a bit out the road and crap. XL is the best very busy with good music but full of Germans!

Bulgaria is not aimed at Brittish as much as I though it would be. There are no Brittish bars, and we are very out numbered by the dutch, germans, and scandanavian countries.

So cheap to buy clothes, etc and some of the fakes are of great quality. I bought some cracking purses, I got 3 burberry and 1 louis vuitton for £22 all boxed with tissue paper.

There were 3 thunder storms in the 2 weeks we were there which I was shocked at didn't expect that kind of weather in July and August. 1 on the way to the airport. Hail stones like golf balls and bus had 2 stop as it was too bad. Several flights had been re directed away from bourgas so many flights at the airport were delayed for hours and hours.

Airport is a joke far too small but facilities are a joke! Not many seating areas. Since several flights were delayed it was even worse bodies lying everywhere. Luckily our plane was out on time.

Take insect repelant I have about 5 bites on my feet and legs which are really itchy. Also watch out for little beetle styled cock roaches. Dont exactly know what they were? Looked like beatles but could fly and had hard backs. They are everywhere in Bulgaria the 1st place you will see them is the airport when you arrive. YUK!

We only spent £520 in 2 weeks and bought half of Bulgaria! Would def go back!!! Maybe when I have kids though or in a large group.

my daughter got back from here today this was supposed to be all inclusive but water, tea and coffee not included food in edible and alcoholic drinks tasted like washing up liquid ! she took photos on her phone to use as complaints when she was back in uk but last night while they were asleep some animal came into her room, and stole her hand luggage which had boarding passes etc in and her and her friends phones, purses and beats headphones.the scary thing is , what if they had woken up and disturbed the thief ?? luckily they did not wake so all they lost was material things. when they reported the theft to reception the staff laughed shrugged and said " it happens all the time" then refused to contact the police until 9am, their airport transfer was leaving at 9.30. my daughter and her friend are traumatised and I would strongly urge british girls Not to travel there this hotel should be closed down asap!

What was the food like at this hotel and is it worth paying all inclusive
Answer from Mason Butcher
Dewsbury, United Kingdom3 contributions9 helpful votes
The food is standard, as in you’ll probably find a few items you like and stick to them for however long you stay. If you like a quick breakfast, beach, pop back for lunch type of thing i’d say all inclusive is worth it. However the food in Sunnybeach, regardless of where you eat is extremely cheap and I presume wouldn’t be a huge difference if you ate out every night or paid for all inclusive anyway so i’d say it’s down to personal preference.
