HI Hotels Imperial Resort boasts a prime location favored by guests for its easy access to beaches and local attractions like Sunny Beach and Nessebar. The hotel's cleanliness receives high marks, with many visitors commending the spotless rooms and the diligent cleaning staff. However, the hotel's service and atmosphere receive mixed reviews; travelers appreciate the friendly and attentive staff but also report encounters with rude personnel and inconsistent experiences.
While the rooms are generally praised for their cleanliness, some guests have raised concerns about maintenance. Additionally, the value proposition is questioned by some due to extra costs and variable service quality.

Booked this Hotel in Sunny Beach fourth time to Bulgaria, what a great location 5 minutes to the fantastic beach, hotel staff were brilliant and very friendly work tirelessly, The manager Alexander spoke to us several times and made us feel really welcome and important and even offered to got a Dr when my mother in law fell ill. The place was spotless with the cleaning staff working seemingly around the clock. The food served at the two restaurants was fantastic and even the younger members of our party enjoyed it, yes there was a queue at the bars because it's all inclusive but not too long await and didn't bother any of us. Kids club in the day for young children and the entertainment at night was fantastic Two great pools both having lifeguards present all day and there was a quiet area for adults only with sunlounger both pools seamed very clean all the time. I would personally recommend this hotel to anybody, and would Definitely book again

Stayed here from 30th of August to 6th September 2024 . The hotel is lovely and very clean. I upgraded on arrival as I had travelled with family and I was in a room on my own my room was too far away from my family. it cost me an extra 83 lev which I thought was reasonable my room was a large double with a massive balcony with views over the pool and sea the room was very clean .There was a kettle in my room with teabags and sugar but they didn't provide milk in the room so if you wanted a cuppa you would have to either buy milk or bring it up from the restaurant which was difficult because the milk was in a large bowl and restaurant only open certain hours. there was a fridge with a bottle water and a safe which was free to use the food was very hit and miss and not kept hot only warm food was repetitive they did themed nights there was always plenty of food so you could always find something to eat.the outdoor pools were freezing cold can't comment on the entertainment as well didn't go to it.they had an outside snack bar which was really good. The staff worked hard and did very long hours. We did the ala carte night which was Asian cuisine that was probably the best meal we had all week apart from the waitress accidentally spilt a pint of beer all over me she couldn't apologize enough. The beach area was very clean and had plenty of sunbeds which cost around £10 for a sunbed and umbrella . The general manager was very helpful and friendly

Have spent 6 wonderful days in the Imperial Hotel. The room 1701 had a lovely sea view of the bay with views towards Sunny Beach and Nessebar Old Town. It was great to sit on the balcony and watch sunrise and sunset. The housekeeping was excellent with clean towels and changes of bed linen. We were really impressed with the food in the restaurant...an excellent selection of international dishes. Out of restaurant hours there was a snack bar which had pizza, salad, burgers, croissant, toasties, cakes and doughnuts fresh from the machine. I'm not sure why people moan about plastic cups....yes they use these for safety reasons around the pool, children's play area etc but in the lobby bar, restaurant and games room bar you can have your drink served in glass! They will also give you 2 drinks at a time, so I cannot see the problem! I stayed with Kevin who has disabilities and the staff were kind and helpful. Yes some staff can appear to be not " smiley" or rude but this is a different culture to the UK. The bar staff were friendly and helpful. We witnessed guests been rude to them and being disrespectful. Although tipping is not compulsory it is appreciated, in Bulgaria pay is poor and I believe that good service deserves it. It was quiet in Sunny Beach which suited us fine..no 18 - 30 holidays!! The weather was great 23 - 26 degrees. The outdoor pool is not heated but there was an excellent indoor pool. Location of hotel equal distance from Sunny Beach and Nessebar was excellent. Old Nessebar worth a visit. The adjoining John Smiths Pub had bingo, entertainment etc We will be back! Thank you to all the team at Imperial Resort for a lovely holiday

This is a large hotel located at the Southern end of Sunny beach close to Nesebar. The hotel has two swimming pools outdoors and the one at the far end closest to the beach is quieter for relaxing Although the blurb mentions a beach bar and a private beach neither of these are currently in existence. The beach only 100 M or so away but you have to hire sunbeds and being this early in the season there is no where to get drinks / food on the beach The hotel boasts a large buffet style restaurant which has the usual meats salads and cakes and an outdoor food courtyard open for about 12 til 5pm. Food is not very hot unless you opt for the freshly cooked - pizzas freshly cooked are great but honestly the rest of the food is warm at best. Saying that there was always something I could eat - salads were good, breakfasts a little disappointing. The rooms are neat and clean and functional. Plenty of wardrobe space, shower not powerful hut bathroom clean and tidy. Daily maid service to change towels and clean up room was good Beach towels can be hired for 20Lev and ATM machine opposite hotel at supermarket. Have stayed in the area before in August and I must say this stay was lovely in that it was much quieter but weather still good For a cheap week away this was good. I travelled solo and always felt safe - not that I venture out at night.

We (mum and 3 daughters in their 20s) spent 2 weeks here in August 24. We were joined by our friends, (couple with 4 children 11 to 17) for one week. The hotel is very big and busy, the pictures on the websites show only half of the accommodation on offer. There are two main blocks and we were in the 2nd block which comprises of 3 floors and no lift so if you have mobility issues you may want to contact the hotel prior to your stay to ensure your room is in an area accessed by a lift. The good points are; the rooms are nice, good a/C, serviced daily, frequent linen and towel changes. The food was very nice, we tended to go to the upstairs buffet as it was quieter. You can visit one of the gourmet restaurants once for every 5 days of your stay so we visited both and they were very nice, though as you're given 4 courses it's best to go in very hungry. The snack bar was really good, too. The beach is a short walk and lovely, it costs 10 lev per sunbed and 10 lev per parasol but there is a free zone if you're not bothered about sunbeds etc. The staff were mostly very nice, in our experience, the reception and bar staff were really good. There is plenty for kids and teenagers, too, with an active animation team. The hotel is in a great position, close to the beach and a short walk to Nessebar. The not so good points, the queues at the bars are a pain at times and the drinks in the outdoor areas, are served in tiny single use plastic cups, we tended to get 2 drinks per person at a time, as did most people, so this of course doesn't help the queues. The snack bar also uses single use plastic plates. These cups and plates are also being taken to the beach, and I'm certain many are finding their way into the sea. It's time the hotel got reusable cups and plates, and I'm sure it would end up saving them money in the long run. Also, if the cups had larger volumes, folk wouldn't have to get 2 at a time. I don't think I've experienced so many rude people as I did in this place (other guests) We used the pool in block 2, and it was really cold, much colder than the sea. We did put towels down, but most folks did that about 8ish, so it's not too bad. Our friends' kids were shouted at in bulgarian by the cleaning staff on a couple of occasions they weren't sure what they'd done. In all this hotel offers good value for money , it suits families with young children and young teenagers. They really have to change the single use plastic, though.

Dear Caroline, Thank you very much for taking the time to post a review about your experience with us. We are happy to hear that your stay with us was satisfying and enjoyed by everyone from your party. In regards to the bars and the cups, we already started offering large cups made from degradable and denser plastic, so we believe guests are enjoying this upgrade. We also started engaging two bartenders in rush hours, so we believe this will be no more an issue. As far as the other guests are concerned, we always encourage guests to reach out when there are any issues, so we can intervene and make sure everyone feels great in our hotel. We will definitely check with our cleaning maids if there has been any inappropriate behavior from their side. Bottom line is, we always strive to make our guests feel at home and we will keep on making upgrades in this regard. Many thanks for your feedback - it was useful and great to read. We will be expecting you next year as well! See you soon!

On arrival entering to the lobby from the front seemed quite ordinary. We got a very warm welcome when we approached the reception. We were booked in swiftly and show to our accommodation, on walking pass the facility we got a positive vibe from the residence(holiday makers). On reaching our room we found it to be very well presented and to our surprise in the morning we also had a brilliant Seaview. Due to a late arrival and suffering fatigue we went straight to bed, woke up really refreshed due to the comfortable bed. The Cleanliness of room and the hotel could not be faulted with the staff taking pride in the work. We found that the variety and selection of the food in the restaurant was of a very high standard, with freshly prepared omelettes and pancakes for breakfast. After exploring the hotel we found we could not believe what was available like outdoor food and drink facilities, and while walking around we were greeted by Alexander the hotel manager. The beach was very close to the hotel, with a wooden way right on to the sand which was like being in the Caribbean. We had a wonderful seven night stay only wish we had booked for longer. First visit to Bulgaria Sunny Beach with everyone being friendly and helpful, would definitely go back.

Clean hotel, great staff ,a small tip goes a long way. Food was always plentiful and varied, loved the themed dinner nights. It wasn't hot (the way we are used to ) but there are microwaves in the restaurants. Room was spacious with tea making facilities. Bathroom had a hairdryer and both shower gel and shampoo in a dispenser. Nice touch. Can't complain about the hotel . From checking in to checking out I never had a complaint. Staff were always both friendly and courteous to me. A smile does go a long way here . The wee train costing 6 levs is easy to board you can either go to sunny beach centre or nessebar. Nessebar is gorgeous and steeped in history with beautiful ruins , but don't go in heels. Flat shoes for here as the cobbled streets are very uneven.

The only positives to the hotel is it is clean and the outdoor snack barman is fantastic, no facilities for changing a child anywhere in this “family hotel”, entertainment was quite underwhelming for my 2 year old, the splash park which was the reason we booked this hotel for was open for 4 hours a day and if we’d known this in advance would not of booked! Balcony was unsafe for my toddler to be on as she could get out and possible fall from it and could get through to next doors balcony, hotel staff didn’t care when we addressed this on day 1 and then offered to move our room on last day which was pointless! Food was absolutely atrocious! I’m not the fussiest eater either and finding something to eat for breakfast and tea was impossible as the choice was very poor as was the quality of the food. Ended up living off the snacks during the day (pizza and chips) after complaining about the food the manger laughed in our faces, even after plenty others complained as well. Hopefully you don’t want anything on Sunday as the staff aren’t available then, ala carte is also shut then as well. Had a bad stomach from the food as did many other guests at the time.

Firstly, the staff were lovely. Helpful, professional and friendly. This is a lovely hotel in a nice area, very close to the beach. Our room was spacious and comfortable and smelled lovely when we arrived. Housekeeping attended every day to make the bed and provide fresh towels etc. The food was the best we’ve had in an all inclusive hotel. Lots of variety and cooked well. There is an outside snack bar during the day providing pizzas and other snacks and lovely fresh cooked donuts. The hotel was busy but we were able to get a sunbed. It was a bit cool when we went so didn’t use the pool, but it looked clean and well maintained. If you have children, this is a little play park and also a children’s pool. Staff were constantly sweeping up outside to keep it clean and tidy. Despite the hotel being busy, it was quiet in our room so no disturbances. There is a little train that takes you into Sunny Beach or to Nesebar for a small charge, both well worth a visit. There is also a taxi attached to the hotel that offers a better price than other local taxis. If you prefer the beach, you can walk through the gates at the back and you’re on the gorgeous beach within a minute. There are ‘free’ areas or you can choose to pay for beds from one of the numerous beach bars. We paid £5 each for the day for use of the huge beanbag beds by the nearest bar, which was also good value for drinks. This was our first time in Bulgaria and we had a lovely trip and would definitely return to this hotel.

I've had a wonderful 2 week stay at the Imperial . I arrived at the end of September All the facilities were operating and the hotel location couldn't have been more convenient. The main positives about this hotel: First of all it's location . The hotel is 3 mins walk to the beach , 10 mins walk to new nessebar , 25 Mins walk to the old town. Theres a bus stop just a few meters from the hotel that takes you to nessebar, sunny beach and Burgas . The food was amazing, always plenty to choose from I had beef, chicken, fish ,veil, rabbit and Bulgarian food they even had shrimps and shark on offer! The drinks are served in small plastic cups but I found them adequate as they were strong and tasty and they do allow you to order several drinks at the time also the bar staff are always friendly and helpful The managers were extremely helpful,If I had an issue they were there to resolve it straight away and with a smile..Special thanks to the general manager Alexander who made sure I was well looked after and to Rossita the restaurant manager who also took great care of me, other members of staff were also very helpful.thank you The cleaningness: my room was cleaned daily there's tea and coffee facilities in the room ,the cleaner was friendly and helpful The a la carter restaurants are excellent the customer service there was second to none. Food /drinks are available all day long till midnight On check out day my pick up time was 7.45 pm, check out was at 12 which is good and they let me use all the facilities till the evening Including breakfast lunch and drinks . I think this was awesome as not all hotels do this! You only miss dinner but I used the spa that day and the time went by easily and nicely.
My recommendations to the hotel: There are unnecessary long queues for hot drinks, there were only 3 machines for the whole of the restaurant If you had more machines this would be easily solved My room was a park view room and there was a pub right below that row of rooms ,the noise from the pub can be quite loud up to 1 am , this did not bother me as my balcony faced directly to it and I just took part of the fun most days but it was very very loud on the nights I had to be in bed early to get up for day trips, secondary glassing would sort this issue . Overall my stay here was wonderful, the value for money was the best in the area for sure and I loved how promptly issues were resolved , great customer service. I would definitely be back again.thank you
