so I didn't have very big expectations. On the brighter side
is a very central location --close to the bus line and the central bus station. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and a supermarket next door. The room was cleaned daily. The room aircon worked well, the fridge looked very strange back from old days, but worked, too.
The hotel is exactly on the busy crossroads and it feels like the traffic crosses your room and never stops! They say, that it can be better if you are on the top floors, but the people at reception won't listen to your requests! I stayed a week and needed rest before a busy year.I told them I was prepared to wait a couple of days to change the room or to pay extra, but they said 'no'. I wonder if it was a personal initiative of a very unhappy girl at the reception whose name is Svetlana (her badge said so).Strange as it may seem, the name translates into English as 'full of light'. When I asked her for the manager she told me he was not there and she was not allowed to tell me his name! Ridiculous...
Breakfasts were mostly OK, Bulgarian feta cheese and jam were great.
There were notices in several languages forbidding to enter the restaurant with bags, taking out food or plates and threatening with fine of 50 euros if the food is found in your room! Another prohibition was about bringing glass bottles or glass containers with food to your room. It was exhibited near the lift and said you would be fined 50 euros and 'your bottles will be taken from you'. What if their guests are not a bunch of alcoholics smuggling bottles across 'the hotel border' and hoarding them under the bed?
I think this is not very funny. The number of hotel stars refers mostly to the amenities and technical side, but customer service can help or ruin the hotel.

Everything is renovated from the bathroom to the terrace, as well as the hall of the hotel. There are two lifts.Breakfast is a classic, and for 2 * hotel is quite good.
Staff excellent. The disadvantages are that there is no internet in the rooms and that the environment of swimming pool is not exactly arranged (old broken beach chairs and tables). There are still some little things that need to improve, for example, did not replace old refrigerators in all rooms!? When I say old,I mean really old.The pool is clean and has excellent sheltered place between pine trees so that the shade is all day (great for kids). The hotel has parking next to be paid 5e day, not expensive, has a guardian non stop, and good part of it is in the shade. And who was with car knows what it means parking place there.Next to the hotel is the best bakery in the whole city, currency exchange and a supermarket.
I think that if they make some correction, next season will certainly have a third star.
