Stayed here all inclusive for a week from 6th august. I was on the 4th floor with a pool view. This was fine no real noise etc. nice views. Room was clean on arrival. The cleaners do come each day snd give u fresh towels and empty the bins. They changed the sheets mid way through. They were really friendly and you can ask for extra towels etc. food was ok. Breakfast was definitely the best, you could have full English to cereal, toast, continental, fruit pancakes with chocolate sauce etc Lunch was a few random Bulgarian dishes but there was always bread and chips if you were fussy 😂. Most days they cooked stuff on the grill like kebabs etc. dinner I wasn’t that keen on do we ate out. I am quite fussy though. There was plenty of choice. Salad was really tasty. Drinks were good especially the cocktails 😝. Pool was good and pretty warm. Plenty of sun beds. I did pot my towels out about 8ish as knew I was heading down there about 9. There was a few groups of lads that were a bit over the top on day 1. After they were told off they soon behaved. Overall I was impressed with the hotel and would go back.…
Brilliant, fantastic stay, elliot the bartender was the best. room was clean, had a problem with the shower they came and fixed it within 10 mins, food was ok, always something edible to eat. Unfortunately the swim up pool bar wasn't open when I was there but the.weather wasn't the best whilst I was there they still played games in the pool
We stayed for 1 week half board at the end of July/start of August. I had read reviews before booking which made me apprehensive but we continued anyway, although I wish we hadn’t for a few reasons. The hotel has some good points but the bad outweighed them unfortunately. We had a great sized room and the bathroom was very clean, however the beds are so so hard and uncomfortable! I woke up every morning with a sore back. The bed sheets were also not changed for the whole week we were there which was very disappointing. The balcony was a good size but not private as there’s only a ‘tinted’ glass partition between you and your neighbour which was a shame. The air con was fantastic in the rooms, but it was a real shame the wifi is only free in the hotel lobby and not your room. Not what you expect from a 4 star hotel. When we arrived (10pm) we had no towels in the bathroom and when we informed reception the man at the desk was very unhelpful and said he was unable to do anything for us until the morning. This meant we couldn’t shower until the morning which wasn’t ideal after a day of travel. The location of the hotel was good, there’s restaurants, shops and bars immediately outside. However this caused a problem when it came to the evening as the bar right next door have live music until 12.30pm each evening. We had a sea view room (facing this bar) and you cannot sleep until the music has stopped. If you have young children I would avoid the hotel for this reason. It is a 20 minute walk to the ‘main’ part of sunny beach (Flowers Street) but there is a train that runs every 15 minutes for 6 levs per adult right outside the hotel if you don’t fancy the walk. Food in the hotel top floor restaurant was ok, lovely views from outside seats. Lifts to/from the restaurant came with a bit of a wait at meal times but not too bad the rest of the day. The biggest let down for us was the pool. We had seen some reviews saying you have to pay for sun loungers if you are not all inclusive but this is not true, they are free or charge. However we got up at 7am to get a sun bed and half were already gone! By 8.30 you had no chance of getting one. The pool area is far too small for the number of hotel guests. The beds are so squashed together that you’re practically touching the person next to you. Music was blaring throughout the day so far from the relaxing sunbathing holiday we had in mind. This caused us to pay for sun loungers at a neighbouring resort for the remainder of the holiday which was a shame. For this reason I would not recommend this hotel if you like to chill by the pool on your holiday. The hotel reception offer later checkout subject to availability. It is 50 levs until 6pm, but there are also options up until midnight I believe if you have a night flight. This was very useful for us as our flight was at 8pm. Overall if you are just looking for a base and plan to be out of the hotel for most of the day, this is a good option for you. But if you plan to stay around the pool then I’d definitely avoid.…
I stayed at the Meridian with my family in July 2022 (22nd-29th). I was quite nervous about the hotel after reading the reviews but I had no reason to worry. The hotel itself is in a good area which is close by to bars and shops. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was really quite nice, some food was not to our taste but we always found an option that we did like. The lunch/snack bar food was beautiful, a personal favourite were the chicken wraps. The pool area was very clean and well maintained by staff. The all inclusive drink options were good, the beer machine at the pool bar seemed to have issues daily but were dealt with quickly and efficiently. The 2 drinks per person wasn't a great issue either nor were the queues as the staff were always working hard to serve everyone quickly. The all inclusive ends promptly at 2300. The non-inclusive bar is open all day until roughly 0100am. Assan (the owner) is one of the nicest person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He always served our drinks with a smile and was happy to have a chat also. There are 5 lifts I believe in the hotel, another review stated that there was only 2 but that is not correct. We rarely had to wait long for a lift to arrive, obviously around 7pm was it's busiest time as the dinner service opened but this was never a major issue during our stay. Initially, the restaurant being so high up (10th-top floor) was an issue for me as I am nervous around heights but I was a lot more comfortable with the height by the third day of our holiday. Negatives: I don't have many and they aren't deal breakers as we will definitely book to stay again in the future. The first is that the floor of our hotel room seemed like it hadn't been cleaned properly. It looked clean but we always had little bits sticking to our feet. I asked the maid if she could give it a quick wipe down but I don't think she understood. The entertainment isn't very good. There is basically a game of water polo each morning, or a game of darts and then poolside dance-a-long. Then there is nothing until the dance party on an evening which lasts around 30 minutes and that's basically it. I would 100% recommend staying at this hotel and we will return in the future.…
Hotel location was good and easily accessible to shops and beach. Nice looking hotel with good facilities and friendly staff. However, cleaning was not as expected neither was evening dinner, very disappointing for a four star rated hotel.
Hotel rooms were nice. The food was good, something different every night tried lots of new foods & shots on entry (don’t recommend if fussy eater). Lovely view from dining area!!Really good day time entertainment in the pool. Bad points is pool bar only all inclusive- can’t pay for drinks there
Was a little apprehensive after reading some reviews, but. Check in. 4 groups at a time were checked in before the appointed time, no problem. I was H/B, solo. Small room in the round tower block, shower cabinet, all fine. Maid was very nice. Had all my breakfasts, but only 2 evening meals. Evening food was best for me, but I prefer to eat out at night in the surrounding music venues. Could have done without the lady sweeping around my feet whilst eating. Beds are hard as others say,. I never used the pool area so can't comment. Lifts were easy for me solo. just wait at a 6 or 8 people one, and get in with the others. I get it that groups may have a problem at times, but the lifts are programmed correctly. People can confuse thing by pressing both buttons instead of up or down. No safe in room and hard beds reduces my score slightly Reception staff were very helpful when I had to go home early, and sorted every thing I threw at them.…
We come here twice a year, just love the hotel. I always thought the food was gorgeous but on our visit this year in June, it just went up another level, didnt want to leave to come home. Plenty of bars restaurants and shops within walking distance. There is a gorgeous view from the restaurant on the top floor where you can eat inside or outside. Love it so much going back for September.
I am currently staying at this hotel, the main beef i have is the lack of "cleaning". We booked 3 rooms, one had no towels at all even though we tried to explain this to the cleaners. All they have done is changed the bin. No fresh towels, there was still toothpaste in the sink. The all inclusive is confusing as you have to go to different places in the hotel to access it. And sometimes it's not open at the times stated. The entertainment staff try hard but the shows are finished by 9.30pm with no music or anything else to listen to. I have stayed in a few places, each one different but this has left us feeling very let down. I will update if things improve.
Where do I start. 4 star definitely not. 3 at max. Shower room tiny and over flows with water everywhere. Rooms clean and staff friendly. We went half board. Breakfast ok. Dinner was hit or miss. No free water at dinner had to pay. At pool had to pay for beds. Worst of all was one key with dingy locks on doors. At night around 2 to 4 kicking and banging and running up and down our floor. Phone didnt work so couldn't ring reception. Cameras on every floor but no one came to calm it down. I felt really sorry for families on our floor. Security at front door but not doing their job. We were afraid as we were 2 women staying there. Sunny beach was a fab beach the town was another thing. The strip as they call it was buzzing day and night. The sex shops, men only clubs, pole dancers and leering men made our skins crawl. Didnt go back there. It was like stepping back in time where women are objects. My daughter was asked, why is your skin so white? Racist. Imagine if she asked the reverse? Anyway we will NEVER be back there again.…
