Kuban Resort and Aquapark is celebrated for its prime location near beaches and nightlife, as well as its spotless cleanliness and friendly staff. However, guests have called out that while the rooms are spacious, some are outdated and noisy. The lively atmosphere garners mixed feelings, with praise for the animation team but grievances about loud music from a nearby club. The pool area delights many with its slides, though safety and limited refreshments are concerns. Despite this, the value proposition is questioned by travelers due to perceived high costs and lacking entertainment.

Well well well, let’s start with the good. The entertainment team was absolutely fantastic and got involved with me and my friends and made this experience 10 times better. Food was okay for price and some select bar staff really made us feel welcome and as a group of lads we made a conscious effort to stay polite and respectful at all times. Entertainment was good and Peter and Danny were fantastic and seriously should be held higher in this place! As they make that hotel worth it.

However a major factor which really ruined our stay was rude older members of staff in particular the bar manager. He was rude, aggressive and even when spoken to chose to ignore completely (yes he indeed spoke English) he also had a slight odour to him which may explain why he’s so upset all the time. Furthermore his lover or colleague (it was hard to tell the difference with the way they clung to eachother. Both being incredibly rude and he also slightly smelt which could explain why they were so close. All in all to better this lovely hotel with so much potential genuinely seek other staff as I reckon my 5 year old niece would interact better with customers. If he’s a manager I’m really worried about your recruitment team as that might need a look at as well.

I was worried about staying at the Kuban because of all the bad reviews I had read re noise, food etc. However, I was pleasantly surprised, probably because I visited early May before the party season started, so therefore not much open, hence no noise and I slept like a log every night! The food, in my opinion, was fab, lots of English cuisine (eg English sausages, 'bacon', fried/boiled/scrambled eggs, baked beans and lovely fresh field mushrooms). During my stay I had pork ribs, duck legs, roast pork, beef, veal, chicken and turkey so lots of variety. I did try the fish but not to my liking. Always an abundance of fresh fruit to include apples, oranges, Pears, banana, melon (honeydew and water melon), peaches etc, fresh salads and pasta. Best of all, and not just for kids, there was a 'Mr Whippy' type ice cream machine with cones which was popular with most people. The snack bar by pool also serving snacks (pizza, sabdwiches, cajes/cookies etc) and ice cream in between meal times.

The rooms were basic but clean. Pillows a bit lumpy but mattresses good and I slept well. You get a kettle and a mini fridge in room also. If you need an iron etc you can ask at reception.

The pools and aquapark were fab and kept the kids entertained along with the animation team who worked hard and put on activities all day and night.

The all inclusive drinks were ok but served in plastic cups everywhere except main restaurant (where you can have beer, wine and soft drinks only). Good variety of drinks available including cocktails.

The lobby bar was a bit grim and closed at 10pm every night despite leaflet, handed to me on arrival, stating 11pm.

The location is excellent, a few minutes walk from a sandy beach which was amazing. Too early for boat trips during my stay but they were starting from the pier on Sunday, 12th May. Lots of shops and bars/fast food outlets etc around so you are spoilt for choice.

On the whole my first trip to Sunny Beach, Bulgaria was fab but I would only visit this region off season for obvious reasons as I'm in my 60's! The Kuban is great as a budget hotel and if you are lucky with weather it's a great holiday and I will probably return again in the future.

The room for me was fine. A balcony overlooking the strip of Flower street, a decent bathroom, a good sized room, a large fridge and a TV you can attach your Firestick to with a 90 degrees adaptor. Tea, coffee, milk and bottled water are not supplied but this is not an issue, as there is a cheap Supermarket called Janet Supermarket. Turn left out of the hotel cross the main road and it is 50 metres to your left. It is about 50% of the price of nearby shops. Best to bring your tea bags from home. The pool was fine for me. There is also an upstairs outside bar with sun loungers. The gym is well equipped by hotel standards. I normally just had breakfast and the evening meal. For the price you are paying and the fact it is Bulgarian food, you are doing ok. There is a large selection. If you want better hotel food, you will need to pay for a more expensive hotel. It is worth going all inclusive just from the drinks alone. You do not have far to walk back from the bars in the resort centre.

Got back from this hotel a few days ago if you love lots of noise this is the hotel for you. This hotel is for younger people. The food was always cold and not very good i could not eat the food at least a dozen times and they need to change the menu more often. The beds are very low just like having a mattress on the floor and it is time they changed them, Bathrooms very small. Apart from the lady with short white blonde hair on reception and the lady and two men on the lobby bar the staff were not very good and never had a smile. As for the maid my balcony was never cleaned the carpet was dirty and my bed only got changed once and that was 3 days before i was coming home.I have stayed in many hotels in sunny beach and this was certainly one of the worst as for star rating at a push 2 star certainly not a 4 star.

Just back after a week stay, the positives are the pool area is very good and also the rooms whilst dated are spacious enough and the location of the hotel is excellent Now the negatives, the food is completely rubbish especially for kids and poor variety of choices. We ate breakfast twice and ate out the rest of the week and the poolside snacks are very strange and they should stick to the basic pizza or hotdogs. The entertainment the whole week was rubbish, we were never asked about any sort of kids activities and never seen that area open. The poolside games were sporadic and they only played music when they were on for about 20 minutes, the whole vibe around the pool was poor and even the simple thing of putting music on the whole day would have helped as they seemed to do in every other hotel we passed. Staff attitude is horrible they obviously don't care if you enjoy your stay and they can't seem to just talk to people it's either a stern telling off or just a glare as if we were interrupting their time. The rooms were attended to each day and the maids were very friendly and extremely hard working. Now to the worst bit of our holiday THE LIFTS, on day 2 one lift broke down leaving just 2 to serve 20 floors and it was horrendous, I felt as if I spent 20% of my holidays waiting for a lift and as we were on the 15th floor it was impossible to use the stairs.

Overall very disappointed and they clearly don't care after they have got your money if you enjoy your stay.

worst experience I would not recommend this very poorly managed hotel the only nice staff were the cleaners !! The receptionist was rude wouldn't let me finish a sentence without walking away and talking a different language to her work colleagues i was appauled at how rude they were with anybody who had a question or problem.. siting there waiting on a manager which never showed up i sat there in shock at how she was speaking to other families she even told 1 family with 3 children if she wasn't happy with there rooms not on the same floor to leave and find a new hotel .. disgusting way to be treated after spending such a high amount of money on a family vacation 😕.Will never return to hotel and will advise anyone please don't waste your money on this horrific hotel .. food was very poor entertainment was OK.. rooms need a big update more important the staff need a good educating on people skills if u can't deal with people don't sit at a front desk the blonde receptionist should be locked in the back room folding towels with her manners .

Well where do I start we arrived at Kuban on the 11th of August booked as a family when we got there they put us in separate blocks my daughter her husband and daughter in one block myself my husband and granddaughter in another block we was on the 10th floor on the front each night there was a night club going on till 6am blaring music and flashing lights it was a nightmare the food wasn't very good and not warm not much variety and ask for snacks you just got a piece of bread with a piece of hot dog on and cheese and strawberry jam on a piece of bread we saw the rep he said have a word with the chef but when you spoke to anyone they didn't understand you I asked someone for a spoon she went in to the kitchen brought them back and dropped them in the cuttlery tray in front of me I have never seen as many unfriendly staff in my entire life, The cleaners are sweeping up around you all the time in the dining room 8.30 at night they start mopping all around you it's lethal there was a coupl of nice staff at the outside bar a young girl who was friendly and a young man. They advertise bottled water in rooms not true and a safety deposit but that was in reception at extra cost. entertainment team was good tried to get people involved the best part of the hotel was the aqua park and the pools. In the bathroom small packet of shower gel and a small soap in a packet it didn't get replaced unless you asked for it there was one lift always breaking down it was a nightmare when there are 20 floors . We asked the rep does any of their company staff sample the hotel to see what it was like that's what is needed he replied no We have been to Bulgaria several times and really enjoyed it this is not one of the best hotels so disappointing great entertainment around in the evening bands and tributes unfortunately not in the hotel

Where to start! I absolutely do not recommend this hotel! I went with my husband and 2 children ages 6 and 15. The rooms are so poor, not clean and VERY crammed for 4 people to share. It was basically 4 single beds pushed together with little room to move around. Very old fashioned and the curtains were falling down. Beds very uncomfortable and you only get 1 tiny square pillow each. The food was awful and very samey! We all got upset stomachs everytime we ate there so ate out most of the time. Breakfast isn't so bad but it wouldn't hurt the pancake lady to crack a smile every so often! Some of the waiting staff in the restaurant are very polite and welcoming. The all inclusive options offered to you are so poor throughout the day. Only allowed ice creams between 3-5pm and very limited drinks and snacks. We only went to the evening entertainment once and never went again because it was terrible! My daughter is 6 and didn't enjoy any of the kids stuff (what little of it there is as we saw hardly anything and none of the workers communicated with us, they are more interested in adult games like beer pong). Do not be fooled by pictures online, this hotel is terrible and extremely run down! The reception staff do not offer you any guidance, they don't instruct you on how to find your room or whats available and when. And if you arrive before 2pm, you can't check in until 2pm! We did not know this until we arrived. No information on when a holiday rep will be available either. (We didn't see one our whole stay, jet2). The hotel is situated right on flowers street (main strip)..sounds great right...NO! Loud music is played until 6am EVERY NIGHT and there's a strip bar literally right outside the hotel. Infact they're everywhere, and sex shops too. Not a destination for children in my opinion. All in all, we do not recommend this hotel to anyone and we will never return! So disappointed in what we got for the money spent! And use the stairs, you'll get there quicker than waiting for the lifts! This hotel is meant to be 4 stars and that's actually extremely laughable, 2 stars at the very most.

We arrived early hours a girl on reception gave us our keys no English at all with two guys hanging around reception not exactly a friendly welcome .

Went to our room on the 18th floor when the lift opened we seen very dated wallpaper and dirty carpets .
The room was even worse , dirt all over the walls carpets dirty , dated furniture the balcony isn’t big enough to sit on at all .

Then came the food , oh dear !
The food was so bad we had to leave daily to eat! from raw chicken to raw eggs undercooked pastries salad for breakfast and Brussels sprouts (cold in sweetcorn) honestly I’ve never ever experienced such bad food ,snacks by the pool was a bread roll with a hotdog mayonnaise and Gerkins yuk!

The staff in the hotel walk around like they hate the place and when you try to be polite they look through you extremely rude.

The entertainment was a kids disco which was about three songs in German polish and other languages then a quiz or a Bulgarian Dance another night all while sitting out in the cold at the pool area .

The only good part about this hotel was the slides that saved it slightly.
They also let you stay in later in day and surprise you with a 60 lev late checkout fee and tell you it’s not their problem and to go to atm and get it

Reading the reviews I thought it would be ok but it was all literally aimed towards pleasing the Russian polish families nothing at all food wise or entertainment wise for anyone else !

Don’t bother is my honest advice

A very, very basic room, breakfast ok, every other meal is not worth paying for, you'll need to eat out, the food is poor, repetitive and the options don't sit together or work as a meal. Salad for breakfast and every other meal too anyone.
Allegedly has 5 lifts, 1 has been out of order for 5 years and counting and with 20 floors that's a more often than not 20 minutes of cursing frustration and missed buses!
Can't swing a cat in the rooms, no bin provided. Cups, no coffee or tea, no water although that was allegedly included.
There are safes, in reception 8 Lev a day on top, not inclusive. The spa and jacuzzi and gym are also extra and not included.
4 bars, But they overlap, not all available at the same time and after dinner only 2.
Not a hotel to return to.
