Very nice near beach hotel in Bulgaria, Nessebar city, Sunny Beach resort. Have nice swimming pool, nice and kind staff, that speks many languages. Better is choose room in 4 -5 floors, with view to sea. Each number have balciny with furniture to dry your clothes. Hotels restorant have very nice and tasty food. Liked everything, no dislikes.

this hotel is very dated but clean . rooms are basic with balconys but our view to pool was restricted by overgrown trees which spoiled it a bit..good television signal..hubby watched all the English football matches which was the highlight of his week!! lol .the air con in the room was an absolute blessing!! really easy to use and a good cool blast from it!! brilliant!! pool area and pool are the best things about this hotel by far!! fabulous size pool with added kids area, lovely swim up pool bar and brilliant snack bar where a burger and chips is 7 lev ( 3.50) good portions.. they also sell pizzas, chicken burgers, hot dogs, and pancakes. in y opinion this is where the best food is served because the food in restaurant is just basic ..same everyday except stringy bacon one day them frankfurter sausages the next! toaster is slow, only 2 choices of fresh fruit( apples and plums) yoghurt was watery, not nice, right now the worst things about this hotel are the staff!! staff are abrupt, rude, aggressive at times, they ignored you when you said hello.no smiles, nothing.. they all could do with an intensive course in customer service!! the only exception to this were the lovely cleaners that were cheerful and polite and said "good morning" to you when they passed you ....the cleaners put the other staff to shame!! I would stay at this hotel again but only if the staff were sorted!! just a reminder ..no kettles in room so if you want a tea/coffee the little supermarket just down from hotel has a vending machine where a cuppa is 30p..

We stayed here for 2 weeks. We had a fabulous time. All hotel staff are very friendly and willing to help you. Rooms are a great size and have air con, fridge etc. There are lots of local supermarkets within walking distance too. All very cheap. Local beer prices range from 1 lev to 3.50 lev . We would definitely come back again.

We travelled to Continental with Balkan, a company we hadn’t used before. When we arrived at 3pm, a boy offered to help us with our bags. We were in 383, walking to the rooms, it does look a little like a prison block or butlins, this wasn’t an issue for though, as we’re not the type to stay in our hotel room. We were pleasantly surprised when entering, we had an amazing pool view, clean room, shower was hot and powerful, clean towels. We had beers and food at the pool bar on a daily basis, a pint of beer was 2lev (about £1.70) and I had cocktails, 6lev. There were pancakes, burgers, pizzas and chips available for a cheap price too. The staff were pleasant and helpful, I think you get back what you give, tipping a very little and being happy is always a plus. We headed to Sunny Beach which is a 5 minute walk, it was beautiful! It gets really busy but has a great atmosphere. We decided to go B&B as we like to eat out, there was plenty of restaurants, I’d recommend mamacitas mexican! Avoid the restaurant opposite the hotel, corner bar I think it was called, rude staff and very unhygienic! I would strongly recommend heading to Nessebar, it took 10 minutes on the bus and was 2lev 60 for the two of us, the buses ran every 10 minutes. There’s some beautiful places to eat and drink and some shops to have a peruse! You can also get the land train and boat to Nessebar from Sunny beach, but we just wanted quick and cheap! In terms of the hotel, breakfast was fine. I’m not sure what some people expect, but there was bread/toast, honey, Nutella, jams, scrambled eggs, bacon/hot dogs, mushrooms, fresh fruit, cheeses, fizzy drinks and cordials. There was only one day we struggled slightly for a sun bed, but it was because we didn’t head out till 11am. The pool closes at 6pm which was a shame, just an hour longer would be perfect, the pools are great, clean, and big. There are plenty of supermarkets around with in 5 minute walking distance. Overall, I couldn’t fault the hotel or the breakfast, or Bulgaria its self (albeit, some Bulgarians can be quite rude and blunt). Remember you get what you pay for, I think some people are expecting 5* luxury for 2* cost!

Where do I start overall an extremely rundown hotel, genuinely looks like it belongs in the exclusion zone of chernobyl, arrived to find the bed sheets stained with god knows what, graffiti on the balcony, air con barely works, also the toilet paper in our room looked like it had been kicked around in the street and stairways to the room smelt like John west tuna. The photos are completely misleading as the hotel is two hotels in one, One side of the hotel is fine and the other part is basically a rundown favela, overall just a really poor standard of hotel that should be avoided.

Just come back from a week in this hotel, and have to say it's not the best. The rooms are very small, and very basic, and it reminded me a bit of Butlins. The shower was awful and soaked the entire bathroom, as the shower curtain was to short for the shower. fresh towels every day, but beds only changed once in the week. There was no privacy on the small balcony as there were only bars between the neighbouring balconies. We stayed bed and breakfast, and so glad I hadn't stayed half board etc as the food wasn't great (and I'm really not a fussy eater). The staff in the restaurant were rude and dont even aknowledge you when you say good morning, the cleaners were also very rude, the reception staff however were a bit friendlier. The pool was lovely and a tidy size, the only problem was that some of the loungers were cracked and some of the parasol were damaged. The food served by the pool was good, the burgers and pancakes were lovely, but the man serving there was again rude. I would never return to this hotel and would certainly never recommend it!

Before we went I couldn't understand why the reviews were so mixed, but having just returned it's clear. There are basically two hotels here, the older Continental and the much newer Continental Prima. The basic interconnected rooms we booked in the older hotel were not nice, dark, dingy very old and rather smelly, the main reception and outdoor areas were very tired and run down too. We upgraded to the Prima on day two paying €20 a day extra and got a massive spacious family room (double bed and two singles in side room) that was modern clean and had 2 balconies with pool views, the lobby area was much nicer too and there was a lift. Booked B&B, but breakfast was not very nice, lots of nearby restaurants though and its in the quieter end of town which is better for families. Pool is large and has a great pool bar, there is no evening entertainment of any kind but at least it was quiet at night. Overall we enjoyed our stay. If at all possible be sure to book your rooms in the Prima.

just got back from a 10 day stay here. The hotel itself was simple in need of updating but you get what you pay for. Large pool, decent sized rooms and an average breakfast-which was clearly catered for the Germans. Scrambled egg boiled egg bacon breads cold cuts and cheeses. The state south was pleasant, rooms were cleaned daily, towels cleaned every few days. pool open at 9 a.m. and normally if you went down at 9 a.m. you still able to get a sunbed. the pool bar and snack bar were very reasonably priced and the people running them were lovely. Good location. The little supermarket on site reasonable as me run by some lovely people. The rooms have good storage space and the air-con is good. There are extra blankets in the wardrobe in extra pillows if you need more. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom but it's just your basic hotel hair dryer. Hand soap is provided. I would stay here again but I'd maybe request a prima room. I think where your room is within the hotel makes a big difference. However the reason this gets an average rather than a good from me is the issue I had with my shower. I was on the third floor about 6 rooms from the end, if I try to shower between the hours of 4 and 7 p.m. there would be a sprinkle of water coming out of the shower. After a few days of this getting less of a sprinkle I decided to mention it to the front desk to see if they could fix it. I got to the point where there was no water coming out my shower when I turned it on. I phoned up the reception and ask them to send someone to look at it. They told me they would send a technician, I asked them if they could get him here quick as I had shampoo running down my face. 5 to 10 minutes later a receptionist come and knocked on the door to have a look at the shower themselves, once he confirmed there was no water coming out of the shower they again told me they would send a technician up. An hour later still no technician but by now I have to go out for dinner. When I got back I spoke to the night staff to see if the technician had come they were unaware of any issues. The night receptionist told me that they had written a note in the diary for the day manager to look at at to get the technician to come in during the day. Which was fine by me because I had a trip booked all day so I would not be in the room, I was told if it wasn't fixing next day I would be moved rooms. My cousin was staying with me in the hotel and a friend of hers was staying in another room. When they got back to the hotel before me they ask the receptionist who had said the shower had been fixed. When I got back I turned on the shower and initially some water come out, once I got into the shower and applied my shampoo shower stopped again. At this point after being the third time I had been told it was fixed I was starting to get annoyed. I phoned up reception who sent up another receptionist. He told me it was just because I was in an end room and the water pressure was low, I'm sorry but there's a difference between low water pressure and no water pressure. I asked him what he was going to do and he said he will get the technician again. I told him it was unacceptable as I was told the night before I would be moved rooms to which he said I cannot do that. He stated there was no rooms and I would just have to wait for the technician. At this point obviously I started to get more frustrated, I was in a towel with shampoo in my eyes and he expected me to run across the courtyard to a teenage boys room (my younger cousin's mate) to shower because mine wasn't working, this was not acceptable not fair on the teenage boy. He just kept shrugging his shoulders and saying what you want me to do. Eventually after making the scene in the corridor and threatening to get the holiday rep involved he finally made a call to the front desk (he wanted to leave the room and go to the front desk and I said no you're calling from the front desk because if you leave this room you'll be at least an hour and nothing will get sorted) moved me to a room with a shower that worked. The rest was informed and he assured me he would look into it. Besides the shower it's a decent hotel if you just want a base in Bulgaria. It's not the Ritz but then again you're not paying Ritz prices.
