Pluses: location near the beach, sea view from rooms | good shape beds | friendly staff at the restaurant | low budget hotel, but prices still do not match the quality they offer | very large and clean beach, with smooth entrance in the water but this a plus of Sunny Beach Minuses: everything else - old building renovated long time ago | impolite reception staff, bearly speaking other language than Bulgarian | small and crowded parking place | poor elevators that were stopping between the level floors | no hair drier in the room!!! | lazy cleaning ladies who were only taking away the garbage and not cleaning the room at all; They did not use the vaccum cleaner at all in our apartment during our stay of six nights. Instead, they were chatting and smoking at the windows on the corridors. | average to poor level food at breakfast and dinner - nothing appropriate for children…
Just recently came back from particular hotel. We knew this is a low budget hotel but we've got less than we payed for. Even three start hotel usually have at least minimal hygienic standards, this probably not. Rooms are dirty, room service is bad either you leave the tips or not. Our swimming suits got yellow spots from dirty pool and when we told the main housekeeper woman about this, she only told that the kids are always making pools dirty and there is nothing can be done, only after insisting, she agreed to come and see the problem. Main carpets in halls are very dirty, bathrooms near the restaurant are not well maintained, had strong urine smell there. Restaurant was maintained more or less good, food was average, but free kid drinks during supper were terrible, had a strong chlorine smell. All family got diarrhea in last days, although I cannot 100% blame the hotel food, as we tasted some outside in the city. In short Pros: - Shop inside the hotel, where you can buy water to drink - Great location - Sea view in almost all the rooms - Friendly staff in restaurant - Very quick food refilling in restaurant Cons: - Very poor WIFI - Poor cleanliness - Chlorine smell drinks during supper - Poor room conditioning - Room service…
We have been threre last week. The hotel is in a very good place: very close to the sea and the center. But it is very noisy as the windows go to the street side.( other windows go to the swimming pool) I should say it is not very clean. We liked the food very much. The worst thing is staff at the reception!!!!!!! Old lady is always angry, she doesn't explain anything, her face is unhappy all the time when you ask something. Other ladies at receptions a little bit better but also not very friendly. The girl and the boy in the dinner room very friendly. The hotel is very quite, no interteintment at all ( as the hotel close to this one- Grand hotel had the programme every evening). Good thing was that children playing area was close to it.
Average hotel, but too expensive for the quality that it offers. It was written that it has 2 bedrooms and 4 beds but actuatelly one of the bedrooms has 2 beds, 1 bed is in the other bedroom and 1 bed is in the hall when you open the front door!!!! This was awful. It was written that it has 2 bathrooms but it proved that it has 1 bathroom + WC and 1 more WC. Bathroom was in very bad condition. Dinner was average - great salads but poor other meals and few deserts. Window of 1 of the rooms could not be closed, it was open all the time. However, bed was comfortable. Hotel is situated in the center of resort very close to the beach and clubs.
The location is one of the best - first line but not noisy with old trees in the yard. We stayed for 3 nights meanwhile the room was cleaned every day and towels changed. The food is simple but tasty. Great pool and service. There is a parking lot available
The hotel is not new but it looks very nice. The rooms are spacious, the view from my balcony was amazing- I could see the pool and the sea, but there are rooms with views to the street. The pool is big and clean and the food wasn't so good but for this price is worth it. I recommend this hotel, because you are in the city center but the at same time is very quiet.
For families is bad, it isn`t clean and the food is VERY BAD.Staff is ok and the WC is old. There isn`t any hairdryer in the room, so you`ll remain wet. Its location is very good, near a Mc donalds` and near the seaside and the shopping street.
We booked 'last minute' so did not actualy have any info about the hotel - big mistake. Rooms extreamly basic, beds hard and uncomfortable. Towels sheets etc only changed if requested. Breakfast disgusting, the Coffee undrinkable. The icing on the cake being asked to pay the equivalent of £25 for a room to shower and change in the night we left on a 02.00 flight. Resort fine but would not recommend this hotel to anyone
I did not like this hotel at all. The food was horrible, sometimes I even felt sick of the drinks. Coffee looked and tasted like a slop. We payed for a "sea view" room and got a balcony in front of a huge tree, the direction 90 degrees away from the sea. One could see the sea, if one would try to stick his/her head out of the balcony around a corner... The bathroom was far away from clean. Cheap soviet-style furniture... A very small swimming pool (in comparison with other same-cathegory hotels). The location is good, directly at the promenade. My advice: choose another hotel (I've heard good opinions about Glarus as a 3-star-hotel), it will be better.
My partner and I had to check into the Avliga Hotel for about 10 hours due to the fact the Chaika Hotel would`nt let us pay for a room until our Taxi came at 12.30 am as we were flighing at 4.20 Bulgarian time. The lady on the front desk was very nice unlike the Chaika mob and went over backwards to help. If I went to bulgaria again Iwould give the Avliga a go as it seemed ok,it could`nt be any worse than the Chaika.
