Detailed Reviews
Since there aren't many reviews of this place I thought I would submit a thorough one.....
Stayed here with my girlfriend for 2 weeks (1st-15th Aug) and had a better time than we expected too. We only spent around £1050 with Balkin Holidays (self catering plus shuttle transfers as well as travel insurance and airport parking all thrown in) so we weren't expecting to live in a palace but we were happy with the complex although there were a few issues that could do with being addressed.
Firstly, the complex is in a quieter part of Sunny Beach which suited us fine, the wee roads leading to the Silver Springs could do with more lighting but we never once felt threatened as there were other hotels in the area with people always coming and going. Their is also a 24 security guard on the premises along with multiple CCTV camera's. We had a studio apartment which was very spacious and included all mod cons like a fridge, AC, a fully functioning kitchen, even an iron plus there was also a built-in hairdryer within the bathroom.......the fridge & AC still works when you are not in the apartment so its nice to walk into a fully chilled room with cold drinks in the fridge. The maid was was there everyday with towels, toilet roll & clean sheets so no problems there either.
There is plenty open sunshine around the pool from 10am right beyond 6pm depending where your sunbed is located so every sunbed does get the sun albeit at slightly different times of the day than others. Some days we were in the shade till 1230 then it was constant sun whereas other days we were in sunshine from 1030am till 4pm - who really wants to sit in constant sun all day anyway??? The pool is an adequate size but its only 1.5m at its deepest so many people seemed to be a little disappointed at that but overall the pictures do not do this place justice........like I said we were happier than what we expected considering the price we paid!!!
The bad points......
Reserving your sunbed by putting a towel on it in the early morning seemed to have been an issue before we even arrived here, due to the lack of them. There is a laminated A4 bit of paper dated 15th June sitting on the bar (god knows why its sitting on the bar????) saying that any towel placed on a bed before 10am will be removed. Nobody seemed to bother about this and the management never seemed bothered to enforce this?? Everyone will go down between 0815-0900 and reserve their beds. This was never an issue for us personally but there were groups of 6-9 people going down at the crack of dawn, reserving 6-9 beds and not even using them as they would sit at the outside seating at the bar, I found this pretty unfair on the amount of folk who couldn't get a bed.............EASY SOLUTION = IF THE BED IS UNOCCUPIED AT 1200 THEN THE MANAGEMENT SHOULD REMOVE THE TOWEL!!!!! How hard is that?? And how hard is it to stick a sign in every room stating this instead of a silly bit of paper on the bar??
This complex seems to have a lot of "group" bookings so this is where disrespectful irresponsible behaviour at the pool comes into effect. The behaviour at the pool (whilst we were there) was pretty much a complete disgrace!!! We found large groups of boys would throw footballs & volleyballs about in the pool using extreme force like complete & utter idiots, their behaviour upset a lot of families with young kids as well as older sunbathers - now its not the managements fault that these idiots should act like this but SURELY ITS THE MANAGEMENTS RESPONSIBILITY TO STOP THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOUR FROM HAPPENING???? - this actually has to be seen to be believed the way these idiots act, now its not just a wee inflatable ball we are talking about, its large leather size 5 balls that can cause a lot of injury to some poor person. Innocent sunbathers as well as people eating at the bar seating area are constantly hit with the ball or continuously splashed with the ferociousness of the balls being thrown in the pool. Nobody ever seemed to offer any apology either!!!!! This whole thing may sound a bit trivial but this situation really needs to be addressed by the management. EASY SOLUTION = no ball games in the pool.
The management also had the unpleasant duty to clean up after 5 english girls who left a vile disgusting mess around their sunbeds everyday, this included spilt cocktails over a sunbed, fags stubbed out and left on the ground, half drunk glass bottles of beer left at poolside etc etc .....again this isn't the managements fault but its something THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED BY MANAGEMENT, one member of staff must have spent 40mins cleaning the area and wore rubber gloves, don't blame him either, I couldn't understand why they were even served food at their sunbeds?!?!?!?!?!?!
We found all the staff at the complex very nice & helpful, the guys in O'leary's bar were always chatty and easy to talk with - however we thought the food in the place was way below standard & also slightly more expensive than average Sunny Beach prices, I had undercooked chips with a burger, I paid 13leva for an irish breakfast that included HALF a black pudding which was extremely thinly sliced plus I got around 15 baked beans in a ridiculously small sized bowl!!!! I also ordered a chicken risotto which was basically a ball of boiled rice containing a few bits of chicken which had a chocolate sauce (yes, chocolate sauce) decorated round the plate!!! Enough was enough after that, we decided we would get better value for our money so we ate elsewhere.........
The wifi only seemed to work better if you were close to the reception area - you could log in anywhere no problem but once you logged in it never seemed to work properly???
All of the issues I have highlighted in this review could be sorted out pretty easily and if they were then this place would have a much more happy relaxed environment to it, we spoke to other holidaymakers who seemed to share the same issues & views we had.
Hope you find this review helpful

had a great holiday, we had plenty of towels all through the two weeks we stayed at the hotel, it was clean and tidy,[ we don,t spend much time in the room]. we sat in the sun every day, but some areas were in the shade at different times of the day.All in all it was a pleasant stay, and we met some nice people round the pool. Itis a bit of a walk to the beach, 15/20 mins, but it is flat.

My friends and I have just returned from a very enjoyable week at Silver Springs. Everything was top notch, leaving us very impressed with how the complex was run.
On our arrival we were greeted by a very friendly reception manager who welcomed us to the complex, he explained that if we ever needed something that he or one of his staff members would be at the desk 24 hours a day, which was a nice touch. He then proceeded to take us to our rooms.
The rooms were very impressive, beautifully clean and very modern. Our rooms consisted of two single beds and a sofa bed (which I have to say was rather comfy!) The room was well equipped with a kitchen (including microwave, fridge, toaster, cutlery etc), air conditioning and a reasonably sized bathroom/shower.
The facilities at the complex were great. Swimming pool was of adequate size and had plenty of loungers and tables surrounding it (enough for most of the guests whilst we were staying there). The on-site bar/restaurant "O'Leary's" was reasonably priced and served really nice food from early in the morning until night.
As mentioned in the previous reviews, the apartments are located about a 15-20 min walk to the centre of Sunny beach, and about a 5 min walk to a couple of small corner shops. Taxi's are readily available around Sunny beach - but make sure you agree on a price before you get in (a great tip we found in the TripAdvisor forums)
Overall it was a fantastic holiday and we'll definitely be returning to Silver Springs next time!

Stayed with 6 friends, had to ask for toilet roll, clean towels, sheets to be changed. Terrible stay. We were treated horrible by the staff and people who lived there, felt very unsafe by the end of the holiday. Complained to our rep who then told the manager at the hotel, instead of appologising to us he approached my friend and tried to intimidated her.
We were told on second last day not to use the taxi service as they are unsafe after our friend had been kicked by a taxi driver. Friends and I were told that they hate english people and dont want us there on holiday thats why they treat us badly and try to rip us of at any point they can. Advise anybody not to book as I wouldn't want anyone having the holiday me and my friends had.

Stayed here in August 2010 and 2011.Apartments were spacious, spotless, well equipped and reasonably priced.Air-conditioning was brilliant and could be controlled in each room.Pool was adequate,of uniform depth and safe. There was also a kiddies pool, sunbeds, games room.
Air-conditioned bar/restaurant served great food from morning to night, breakfast, snacks, dinner.Staff were extremely helpful, courteous, professional and cheerful.24 hour security and 24 hour reception were in operation.
Small shop 20 meters away, couple of mini markets 400 meters away.Large supermarket 10-15 mins walk.Very cheap and great selection, just like home.
No security safe in the room.Surrounding area is a building site and access roads are mostly unlit dirt tracks. This was not a problem for us during the day but at night we always took a taxi.Probably when surrounding area is completed with apartments/hotels,roads and footpaths will be built and that problem will be no more.
We thougt that the location was very good because it was within walking distance of all ammenities and nightlife, but when you wished to call it a night it was far enough away from the hustle and bustle to get a goodnights sleep.
About 15-20 mins walk to the beach, which is magnificant, the sea is practically tepid and stoneless.
About 10 mins walk to begining of the strip which contains a mile of bars, restaurants, stalls and shops.
Extremely hot (35ish degrees) and loads of sunscreen and common sense are advised. We had a great holiday and would return in a heartbeat.

Just arrived back from our second holiday in Bulgaria. Stayed in St Vlas last year and got a late deal back to the area this year as its so cheap! Arrived late at night and our mini bus dropped us off outside the hotel gates. Friendly welcome at reception and shown to our studio apartment. Really surprised at how large the studio was, it has everything you would need for a weeks stay and was very clean. Hotel pool and restaurant also very clean and welcoming. Hotel is set back off the main road with little lighting at night, but we did not have any problems. Short walk to the bus stop to go to either Sunny Beach or Nessebar, really is no need to pay for taxis as other reviewers have mentioned. We got the bus out and then home again, be careful with your handbags though as I did get my money stolen one night (a little bit drunk and not paying enough attention so my own fault really). We paid for late checkout at 6pm which was ideal as we were not getting picked up until 10 pm. Sat at the pool bar and had meal and drinks to pass the time which was fine. All in all a great holiday for such a cheap price.

Myself as a friend have just returned from Sunny beach after a 2 week holiday.
Silver Springs is absolutely fantastic! The staff there cannot do enough to help you. Out flight wasn't until 5 in the morning, and check out is 12, so we requested a late check out. Our room was booked and so we had to move rooms to a family apartment but they still only charged us for a studio late check out at 34 lev, about £17 to keep the room until 8! Money well spent! The on site restaurant is the Irish bar O'Learys. Although there is nothing Irish about it, the food and service here is brilliant! You can get spaghetti bolognaise for about 6.90 lev which is just under £3.50, and on top of this between 6 and 10 they offer 10% off food.
The reception is 24 hour and manned by a small team of very diligent staff who will go above and beyond the call of duty to help.
The rooms are spacious and the maids come in every day. The only problem with the room was that in our bathroom we had an unfrosted window which meant that when showering if anyone happened to be on the balcony across they could see right in. Luckily this never happened!
There are 2 supermarkets across the street but are very basic.
As for location, it is about a 25 minute walk from the main area of sunny beach and the beginning of the walk is a rocky path, some of which unlit. We found the location suited us because we were away from the busyness and noise of the main strip and we found the walk simple and fine.
You can get a taxi but beware! Reception will order you one which for myself and my fried would cost 10lev, but on the way back they try to charge you 20 and won't budge so we uaually walked home to avoid the trauma of talking to the rude taxi drivers. One of them threw a bottle at my friend when we refused the 10lev.
As for the resort, to be honest I would never recommend it to anyone. The people of Bulgaria are rude and offensive. They leave tip jars everywhere but won't even make eye contact in shops and practically throw your change. The feeling is that they don't want you there and aren't interested in your custom. The main strip is a mixture of shops bars and clubs which we found odd, to have families shopping whilst drunk 18 year olds are passing on a bar crawl.
I am 26, and the idea of going on a bar crawl and playin strip tease games (as one of the pr people used as. Selling point) is my idea of hell! The music everywhere is house and trance. I therefore struggled with the nightlife because I am past the binge drinking but want a little more than sitting in a quiet bar. We did visit room 2, which was 30 lev to get in and free drinks all night with free entry to another club the Viking which played more chart remixes. I would recommend these place. The pr people for bars and restaurants are a nightmare, you can't walk 2 steps without being asking "hey girls where you from?" A question which really grated on me! However this would probably be different for a party other than 2 girls.
Along the strip they have people with snakes to have your picture taken with which look Half dead and are obviously drugged up to the eye balls..... Much like some of the pr people for the clubs!
We only visited the beach one day, but the sun loungers were a complete rip off!
Whilst there we visited one of the two water parks, the sunny beach one. This one suited us as I am a wimp and don't like big slides and was content with gentle rides and the lazy river, however if you are looking for more adrenaline pumping slides then it is best to go to nessebar. Both of which have free bus services running from the main road and are 38lev entry (about £14).
When eating out we visited chilli peppers, food wonderful, service....well the waiters made eye contact which is the most we could ask for! Avoid Arena at all costs!!! The staff and exceptionally rude and the food poor!!! If karaoke is your thing then visit Fat Cats.
For a 2 week visit I spent about £600 which included eating out every night.
We found the resort very German, dutch and italian driven and the English are very much the minority.
I would recommend Khans Tent excursion! Wonderful! Take it easy on the free bottle of wine each though! People were dropping like flies. You can exchange it for beer or soft drinks if you wish. Good value for money and fantastic show with beautiful views of the whole of sunny beach.
Overall if you are 18, and want to go and get wasted on the cheap then bulgaria is for you, if you are wanting anything more, I personally would say look elsewhere. If you do visit I would unreservedly recommend silver springs apartments!!

Stayed here for two weeks with TUI.As expected cheap and cheerful apartments, you get what you pay for.No complaints, clean, basic apartments.Spent days on the beach and nights around Main Strip so apartment just a base.Had a corner room with three windows, balcony had pool and side views.Maids came everyday.Slightly off the beaten track-but ok if you dont mind a walk, about 30mins to Main Strip and 15 mins to beach. If you get a Taxi home be sure to set a price and stick to it before getting in cab,the drivers swarm around and try to charge inflated prices.Roads and pavements around apartments are rough and ready but thats Sunny Beach.Bar at apartments is cheap and ok for a drink and a snack.Plenty of beds around pool although alot of shade as sun passes over.Would use again if in Sunny B.

Not long returned from a two week break in these apartments. The apartments were very clean and all staff were extremely helpful. The block is located about a 15 minute walk from the main beach / resort area so has the added benefit of not being too noisy at night / early hours.
We are already looking to go back next year - would thoroughly recommend this place

When I was coming to this accommodation, I didn't know what to expect.. but when I got there, I was totally surprised. Our apartment was amazing!! I couldn't believe the quality of the place, and the amount we paid for. The housekeeping were consistent. I stayed there for 2 weeks from July 20th, and I can tell you, the housekeepers came to know every single day to clean the room. We didn't always lets them in because we were drunk, but at least they knocked! The wifi at the hotel was quite decent. You either could buy 12 hour or 24 hour vouchers. If I remember correctly, 5 lev for 12 and 10 lev for 24 hours. This accommodation is very family orientated, that includes young children and even grand parents. Very respectable place to be. The pool looked nice from what I could see, and there are some sun beds for those who like that. There was a small games room that had a pool table and a computer to use. The location is about 15 minutes walk from the main strip. There was no trouble, no noise, everything was fine throughout our whole stay there. I will be going back next year for sure, and I won't be staying anywhere else. Would recommend booking this accommodation.

There’s no entertainment at the apartments but they do have the football on. The bar is open until late though
There is a big water park ,camel rides near but you need to go on bus. The rep at the hotel should help you to book this
Yeah you get a good amount of sun there
You are not allowed to reserve a sunbed by putting a towel on it until it’s after 8am. Your towel will be removed and put to one side by cleaning/pool staff if you try and reserve a bed.
There are limited sunbeds around the small pool so try and reserve a sunbed just after 8am.
