Got to the hotel, unaware what to expect. Receptionist quite rude, didn't seem to know what they were doing. Miserable as sin. No information given regarding meals times etc. Rooms were ok basic but it it had a bed, pull out bed, fridge, hairdryer and shower. The balcony had 2 chairs a table and a airer for clothes. The fridge didn't seem to keep anything cold. The A/C wasn't the best woke up with a sweat on most mornings. The pull out bed wasn't as clean as it should of been. the 2 weeks that we were there, we weren't given any clean bedding for the pull out bed. The maids on a morning, gave fresh towels, mopped every now and then. For me I could of done better with my eyes closed. Not sure if were given fresh bedding as every night i felt i was sleeping with sand. The food wasn't the best. If you like chicken, pork and chips then you'll be ok. However, everything thing seemed to taste the same. Breakfast ok, just don't expect it to be amazing! They had the usual eggs sausages (well hotdogs) tomatoes, omelets amongst things I've never even seen before like rolls with some kind of meat in them (must of been a Bulgarian type of food). Cereal was available but was nesquik balls or cornflakes. Because the food got repetitive we went out few times and ate out. The snack bar is situated near the other small pool, foods such as cheese ham and sandwiches were left out in the sun, not one bit covered over, there were flys and bugs flying on them... bread buns were hard. The pizza and chips that were served well, the chips were over done and the pizza was too salty and overly done with what ever they use over there, it was very sickly. Only good thing about the snack bar was the ice cream but there was only chocolate or vanilla to choose from. Entertainment was definitely not 4*..... did a lot of stuff for the adults through the day and nothing for the little ones. Played the same songs on a night every night for the kids mini disco. Noise at night was irritating if your wanting to sleep, people party all day and night their rooms. Not family friendly if you have little ones Location great, just a shame that the hotel lies about the star rating. We accidently came across and went through another hotel (Melina) look fab as this was a 4* as well. 4 pools and looked great as it had a big stage for shows for the evening, mini golf and also slides for the pool. This was my first time to Bulgaria, i feel that there was a lot more to see that we missed out on. Hotel let us down, don't think i will be rushing back to Bulgaria any time soon. Don't waste your money and book this hotel, find something better and bigger for 4 stars.

This is suppose to be a 4 star hotel, I have given it a 1 rating, I was being generous there. The food is terrible and cold. Nothing for children to eat, They have to eat the same food from the snack bar. The cleaner mops the floors, no beds changed. She doesn’t touch the bathroom. I sent 3 emails to the hotel requesting a lower floor room, we have got 2 mobility scooters, we are on the 5th floor. There’s a ramp outside, it’s 2 steep and narrow, we nearly came of the scooters twice. I spoke to the rep for Balkan, he said he would get the beds changed right away, it is over 30 degrees here, you would expect to have fresh sheets. My husband hurt his foot, he went to reception for a plaster and they said they didn’t have any ( sure that’s against the law). The rep was not much use, he said you get what you pay for, it’s suppose to be 4 star, I paid £6.700, for 3 adults and 4 children. We are eating out and it’s not cheap like it use to be. I will never travel with Balkan again.

I stayed at Diamond hotel for 10 nights in July. Hotel looks nice, the lobby is elegant and renewed. There is a small supermarket, spa place, tattoo there - I didn’t use it but saw when arrived. Swimming pool is big and clean, if you book a bed ( with a towel) you can be sure you will have one. Otherwise sometimes it’s hard to have a place by the pool. I just read in an another review that there are rules about the towels on the chairs. I was there for 10 days. Nobody ever inform or said anything about it. Our room was ok. Not great. Beds are not very comfortable..:( there was airco and in our room working ok:) you could dry you clothes on the balcony- there was a small dryer there. Bathroom :toilet was just making noises from time to time especially in the night. There was a mold on the walls and the curtains.. there are no shelves for you cosmetics or toothbrush. Under the shower there is tiny one for one soap.. The hotel cosmetics are very poor. Housekeeping is coming everyday. They fix your bed and organize the room. The change the towels on the floor which is very convenient. The food is just not good. There Is great choice. Different options but all of it is cheap and you can see they do everything to cut costs. Many times we could see they use leftovers from the morning or lunch for the dinner. Some of them were no longer good! Because They stayed outside the fridge for 2 hours service. I had myself few times sour salad or smelly pork:/ basically the food didn’t change much throughout the days. For the last night they made a big food party. Cooked seafood- mules and fish fingers and a tench ( fish). It was nice but only one time. The stuff work there the whole day. Always the same people… they work hard but they are not a big help for customer. They can’t give you answers about the allergens in the food. They can’t explain what is in the dish. The dishes are half signed. So sometimes you have no idea what you eat. The animation team is a star of This hotel. Also work everyday from 10-22 but they are energetic fun cheerful and speak English! Very nice! Shout out to you guys! The reception there is not helpful at all. Their English is better but they know nothing! How far is nessebar ( city next to sunny beach)- I don’t know. How long does it take to get there? I don’t know. Is the free but to aqua park free for everybody or there are some conditions? I don’t know. - the hotel is next to bus station. Never had people in a place who couldn’t help with anything. Overall we won’t be coming back. The stuff in general is not helpful, not nice, not welcoming and you see in the hotel that they care more about your money than you. They don’t greet you, don’t say thank you, welcome anything! It’s not a 4 star.

Myself and my partner stayed at Diamond Hotel during late July/early August for 7 nights. Upon arriving at the hotel, the staff were welcoming and carried our luggage to our room. The rooms were reasonably sized, and kept clean throughout the stay. The only problem we had in the room was our shower draining was blocked, and the water flooded if left on for too long. The air conditioning was also not great - even when the balcony door was shut as advised the room temperature was reading no less than 30 degrees all week. The pool is a nice size, and gets the sun in certain spots from around 0900 until gone 1700. Getting a spot by the pool however can be a bit of a challenge. People reserve sunbeds from either the night before, or extremely early in the morning, even though the hotel introduced a policy whilst we were there stating sunbeds cannot be reserved for longer than 15 minutes. A couple of times, towels were removed from sunbeds in the morning, however, there were still cases of towels being on sunbeds all day, and no one turning up to use those sunbeds. If a rule is in place preventing reservation of sunbeds, then it should be enforced more regularly to give people a fair shot of a decent subbed. Food at the hotel was average, some days being lovely some days being poor. The food isn't exactly presented well, however if you can get past this it can be quite nice. The best food usually comes from the grill area, however this is not running every single meal. The snack bar runs from 1100-1700, and it provides different types of food though out the day such as sandwiches, chips, pizza etc and is very handy to have. The pizza is served every day, with questionable cheese sauce. You can tell it is fresh and would be lovely if it was a traditional cheese and tomato, instead of the gooey cheese they use here! The all inclusive bar is pretty bare bones, with a limited selection of spirits alongside beer/wines. Whether or not you will be served cocktails depends on the staff, and we spent most of our week making our own cocktails with the self service soft drinks machines. The bar also slams shut at 2300 on the dot (early as it is), and the staff would not allow us to go to the self service machine to get drinking water after this time and we had to go to the bar next door. The entertainment is run by a three person animation team, and they went above and beyond all day with different activities for both adults and kids. Examples of this are water polo, darts, and other games which they encourage people pool side to get involved in. This was a great way to meet other people pool side. The only downside to them is that the evening entertainment, which is pretty bare bones. If they had more staff working for the animation team, and a few fresh ideas the evening entertainment could have been a lot better. Location wise the hotel is pretty much perfect being a short walk to the strip and the beach, being just far enough away that it's not too loud and busy. All in all, we had a nice stay at Diamond Hotel, and I wouldn't let the other overly negative reviews put you off. The gripes we had were not major, and we still had a lovely holiday - you get what you pay for.

On the day one we was delighted as hotel is not the newest bud first impression was OK. Room are nicely sized and clean as cleaning staff is the best what this hotel really can offer. Food was looking good at first day but no much choices. Second day we had to report that toilet is shaking and towel rails falling down from the walls but reaction of the receptionist " what I have to do? What do you want? Shocked us. But we decided to leave it as its only room and we just want to rest there so not everything must be perfect. Next day we find out that food was repeatedly the same and this was prety much every day with small changes but as we found later not in good directions. Third day we find out that chicken that our kids was eating was raw inside and still blood around the bones. Our chicken was the same but we was half way through. There days diarrhoea with vomiting was as expected. When reported to the staff they just reply sorry and off they go. No need to take affected food of the menu! Later we found at least 7 families with the same experience. (not sure about their health issues after this food so can't say how much). Staff in the bar and reception wasn't really positive. Rather I heard NO than yes and smile. Kids bought tokens for the playing machine from the reception but didn't receive the all necessary playing tools. When they used the tokens, they found out that something is missing so came to us to inform. Obviously time run out and when reported to the reception they found out that they forgot to handle the playing pads to the kids but when I asked for another token because kids couldn't play they refused to give the token but we had to pay again. It was lot of situation that happened and I don't want to write a book but overall the attitude of the staff ( except animators staff who was always wery nice and polite) was very much ungrateful. Everything just for money and they expecting Tips for everything. Snack bar nearby kids pool and evening area was more likely drink bar. Food only in some hours and only limited options. Amount of plastic used in hotel is massive! This hotel is 4star but maybe when was new. Now is 4 stars only for cleaning service everything else is more likely 2 starts. Definitely not the hotel for the families. Maybe for young people who just want partying and drinking. In all 7 days didn't find no family that was happy with the hotel. First day maybe but after that everyone changed opinion as we did. Definitely never again.

I stayed in the hotel diamond and loved every second of it! The room were impeccably clean and the staff were absolutely lovely! The animation team in particular were brilliant providing a large range of activities throughout the day and brilliant entertainment in the evening! The one downfall is the quality of food, but even coming from a massive foodie this was a small setback for fantastic stay at this hotel!

My sister and I have just left hotel diamond after a 10 day visit and we have had the best time ever!!! The animation team in particular were brilliant providing lots of entertainment throughout the day and in the evening! The hotel staff and animation team were so lovely and friendly and the rooms were spotlessly clean with sheets and towels being changed everyday! Food choices were limited but apart from this we had a great stay!
