Awful, change your hotel if you have booked here serve the Russians first! The Some staff are very rude and not many of them speak English No music being played at pool The all-inclusive is not worth it. The drinks are served in small plastic cups which I have seen before but also coffee which is more of a safety risk than anything else. The food is pretty rank more for Russians had to eat out more money spent
Do not book this complete sh☆☆hole I was booked for 10 days I moved on 2nd day we all no the food in bulgeria is not the best but this ace does even worse than a third world nothing worth eating only had beer and vodka no soft drinks best thing was the ice cream the rooms need a good update no lift no help to top floor with bags abd pram the steps at top of each level where nkt normal they where double heighted steps kids had difficulty getting up them also no gym no free wifi as stated in all brochures no shop 🚻 would not flush I had to move to a diffrent hotel so do not book
We are on our last day out of 7, 2 adults and 2 teenage boys. The hotel itself is a little dated and the rooms are basic but clean and functional. The pool is nice but there are some loose tiles on the floor of the pool but this doesn’t affect the use etc. Previous reviews refer to staff being rude and Russians receiving preference. I have not found this to be the case. The majority of the staff have been lovely, willing to help and extremely personable. I have not noticed that any other nationalities receive preferential treatment over the British although there are a lot of Bulgarian holiday makers here and other nationalities and they are not always the most friendly. The all inclusive is not worth it. The drinks are served in small plastic cups which I have seen before but also coffee which is more of a safety risk than anything else. The food is pretty rank - breakfast is okay, the porridge and ground rice pudding was nice and lunch was pretty much salad and chips for me. We ate out most evenings and the one evening we did eat at the hotel it is pretty awful. Ice cream was available 10-12 and this was nice although limited flavours towards the end of our stay. It has a convenient location, close to the strip but not too close and was quiet at night. Yes it could do with some improvements particularly in relation to the food and drink side of things but you get what you pay for I suppose. If you do come be prepared to eat out mainly which obviously does impact the cost of the holiday …
Awful hotel, very rude if you are English. They will try and serve the Russians first! The staff are very rude and not many of them speak English. If eating at the hotel the rice and and chips are about all that was edible. The lady who does the pizza bar was the nicest food around. She made a desert one as well at 5pm which was nice. The only alcoholic drink we drank was the beer with 7up top to take the edge off. We had to ask for fresh towels as they don’t change them or the bedding at all in our week stay. The beds are like sleeping on wood, we woke up with backache each day. The rooms are very basic which we didn’t mind. Perfect location for the strip which is where you will spend a lot of time. There was no entertainment on so we bought some cards and played in the seating area next to the lobby bar, but they really didn’t like people doing this but I don’t know what else they expect you to do. No music being played at pool. We collected loads of loose tiles from the bottom of the pool. Everyone made a game out of it. We got there at about 3am and they had a pack lunch with a bottle of water which we realised would be the best part of the stay. I would never book this hotel again! I am not letting it put us off Bulgaria as when we went on the strip most of the locals were really nice and friendly. Shame the hotel didn’t employee any.…
Where do i start, the hotel needs a really good update and shower room ripping out, reception dull and sofas id not let my Dog on. Reception staff especially a couple of ladies were faultless and very helpfull but as for the rest it leaves a lot to be desired Rude is 1 word that springs to mind and being Emglish we were made to wait whilst the rude Russians were a priority at the bar, restaurant, slamming doors in your faces and no manners at all. The food was horrendous but every credit to the pizza lady she was the highlight of the day. The Hotel gets a 1 * from us only because of the few reception staff that were pleasent. Our first and last stay in Bulgaria. Food in Restaurants very nice especially the fat cat which is a couple of minuites walk away, and would highly reccomend. The strip in general was grubby and needed some tlc and watch your money as they will rip you off if given the chance. Avoid at all costs.... Met a few lovely English and scottish people on the stay which brightened the day.…
What a shame. This hotel could be the best on Sunny Beach. Brilliant location, lovely large clean swimming pool, outside bar and large garden with lots of seating. Sadly it's not. This hotel caters for Russian tourists, who on the whole are noisy and rude this also includes the children The food is awful, cold and unappetising and the bar staff resemble the Russian Mafia. The rooms are outdated and could do with more than a little TLC. The plates and bowls for the food are mismatched, chipped and wet, cutlery and cups are usually not there and drinks are served out of thin plastic glasses whether its soda, beer, spirits or coffee. There is a menu pinned up outside the restaurant but it bears no resemblance to what is actually being served. All inclusive is a joke as The bar by the pool serves beer and if you are lucky and they have not run out soft drinks. Inside bar beer, spirits and again they have not run out mixers cum soft drinks. Restaurant bar same as but no spirits. Ice cream is served by the pool bar from 10.00 am til 12. 00 am. Not an ice cream lover but why not all day? , sandwiches, and I say very loosely, a piece of bread, cheese and spam 2 till 3 and then pizza 3 till not sure if you can again beat the Russian. It doesn't matter if you are waiting, the staff will serve the first. Apparently there is some sort of sweet served at 5. Never did find out what as it was always finished by 10. Minutes past…
As you can see, I’ve selected that I stayed in February of 2020. This isn’t correct as the app would only let me go back this far. When we stayed there it was amazing. Me and my parents stayed for a week in Hotel Regina. As a lot of the other reviews mention, the lady at the front desk didn’t speak a lot of English but had a smile from the moment we arrived and tried her very best to communicate. We stayed in a family room which was the best room I have personally ever stayed in on Sunny Beach (I’ve stayed at many hotels in Sunny Beach as I’ve returned to Bulgaria almost every year since I was 3, I am now 19). We did have an issue with one of the showers but this was fixed very quickly as reception sent a person to fix it. The only other issue we had was the air con in the one room turned itself off but with a bit of fiddling with the remote we fixed it. The only thing that may be an issue for some people is that there is no lift. I was supposed to return to Hotel Regina in August of 2020 but had to re-arrange for a year later due to coronavirus. …
Just returned from the Regina after one week of all inclusive, 5 adults 2 teenagers and one 5 year old. Rooms are clean but a little tired looking. None of our TV's worked, had kettle, dishes and cutlery fridge, and a microwave and an oven. Rooms where cleaned most days with clean towels. Barmen where mostly polite however, hardly any staff spoke English. Pool was nice and clean, nightmare trying to reserve a sun lounger as towels where constantly left with no one on them. The food was OK but most of the time it was barely warm and every day we had a choice of chicken or pork in some disguise. Close to the beach and the main strip where the food was cheap and really good. Only has 2 very small bars, one next to the pool that served beer and soft drinks, no diet options. Served ice cream 10 till 12 and home made pizza on an afternoon. We did find the locals to be rude to a lot the English tourists and did charge more for certain rides and goods as opposed to the Russian and Bulgarian tourists. Overall not too bad of a stay, would we go again? Maybe.…
Stayed here for our 10 day holiday, rooms clean, very comfortable and the rooms are a Good size. Staff all pleasant. Happy to help with any request Great location right off the beach. Goldy's bar and restaurant next to us served lovely food and drink
I have recently stayed at this hotel and it isn’t as bad as all of these people are making out! Okay, the lady in reception can’t speak a great deal of English, yet she had a smile on her face from the moment we went to check in and she really did try her best to communicate with us. There were a couple of issues with the room which included: the shower not being able to be mounted on the wall as the clip had broken and the air conditioning unit in one of the bedrooms did continuously go off but other than this, there were no issues. The room was cleaned on a daily basis, beds changed and towels were chanced once every 2 days. The family room was one of the best I have ever stayed in as it was 2 rooms joined by 2 doors in the middle that could only be opened from inside the room (meaning that if I shut my door, nobody could open it from the other side) which is great for older teens who like their own space and privacy. The hotel is in an amazing place because you are less than a minute away from the strip where you can have an enjoyable meal and the alcohol is very cheap too! All together, this hotel is a nice place to stay and really not as bad as some people say it is. I couldn’t tell you about the pool area, bar area or restaurant as I was bed and breakfast. I think this hotel is definitely worth it!…
