Detailed Reviews
Nice clean , lovely staff apart from 1 female bar staff who looked miserable everyday . Drinks were good , I enjoy Bulgarian wine and the all inclusive wine was good . The food was edible , not 5 star but adequate it was sadly always cold !! . I microwave or 2 would be a great investment . I don't this is the place for you if your are Muslim due to the amount of pork and cross contamination from meats to cheese . All In I would go to this hotel again and found it very friendly and in a good location

Long, but very detailed =), hope it would be helpful for someone.
We arrived in the morning, July 1st, at about 10 o'clock. The check-in/out policy is strict: check-in after 14.00, check-out before 12.00, while in other hotels you may check-in earlier, but you have to leave earlier too. So, although we were tired after a long travel by bus (about 16 hours from Moldova), we decided to leave our luggage near the reception and go for a walk to find the path to the seaside and some store to buy water and some snacks. Lunch lasted from 12.00 to 14.00 and as we didn't launch on arrival, we could have a lunch on our last day. Breakfast and supper were also long enough (07.30-10.00 and 18.00-20.30), so you could find the meals warm and even in a good variety of choice if coming at round hours (sometimes we came at 12.20, 19.30, and the 1st round of meals has already been eaten, but in a couple of minutes it was replenished back. maybe it's a simple coincidence.). The food was not very various from day to day, but tasty. Usually the breakfast consisted of boiled eggs and/or omelet, bacon, fried/boiled sausages, beans, semolina, milk with 3 kinds of cereals, pastries, some kinds of pate, cheese, Bulgarian cheese, fruits and vegetables, and of course coffee and tea. For lunch and supper there were always 2 kinds of soup (different for both), fried potatoes and 1 fish meal, the others varied from chicken, nuggets, fish fingers, to pork and beef, roast, grilled, boiled, with or without sauces. As a side dish one could choose pasta, small boiled carrots, beans and corn, stuffed cabbage or grape leaves with rice and meat (a kind of traditional food similar to Moldovan one called "sarmale"), rice with vegetables, mushrooms and others; once we even had "mamaliga" (as you may know it called "polenta", a kind of boiled corn grits)!! So we felt pretty much as at home. One could also find some 2-3 salads at each meal and some vegetables apart (cucumbers, potatoes, carrots) as well as Bulgarian cheese. There were also always fresh fruits and desserts too, as well as ice-cred of 4-5 kinds. A surprise ( =( ) was that there was no traditional Bulgarian "clabber' and no youghurt (as salad dressing).
The room we stayed in was on the 3rd floor (307), pretty good, big and comfortable, on the "sea view" side, though it was too far to see it and there is a big hotel on the other side of the street. It was quiet, probably more quiet than the other side, which leads right to the road and to the pool of an other hotel. It was plenty of sun there, but no proper roof above the balcony. So, on rainy days (i.e. 5/9 evenings of our holiday), you'd better stay in your room, lobby or at the pool bar. By-the-by there is no clothes dryer too, so you'd better take a small rope and some clothes' pins with you, or just dry your wet clothes on the plastic chairs and table. Bathroom big enough, with a good shower cabin, which doesn't flow as in many other hotels. Towels, paper and soap changed regularly. There is also a hairdryer, but as for me it was of low power, as I have long hair, so I used my personal one. All the amenities present in the room: a new TV, air conditioning, 2 beds and a couch, a wardrobe, a coffee and a dressing table, fridge and good lightning, not too bright and not too dim. If you'd say "German Quality" it would probably describe the hotel pretty much.
The staff is very polite, friendly and helpful, especially the receptionists and the barman (Jelko if I remember right. He is also very sociable and smiling every time he greeted us). They were also fast and receptive at solving issues. The cleaning ladies were not to see or to disturb you. We returned every day at about 12.30 and the room was already put in order (soap/shower gel, towels, trash bins, beds, balcony) - no objections.
Hotel Forum is situated to the end of the Sunny Beach Station, close to the old town of Nessebar, which is a very beautiful place with historical tracks. Worth visiting! And just about 20 min of walk, especially if you go along the sea shore. In an one hour's walk you could reach the center of the Sunny beach, and you can also take a shuttle bus, practically in every direction, every 10-15 min, which costs you 3 Leva for an adult and 1,5 for a child (1 EUR=approx. 2 Leva, 1,91, as per our stay). Sunny Beach has lots of shops, bars, discos, so if you like to go out in the evenings, it's probably one of the most attractive resorts of Bulgaria. At the same time, the part which adjoins Nessebar is very green and quiet.
All-in-all we have very nice impressions (except some rainy evenings) and would be glad to come back to this hotel.

I went for a lads holiday, Arrived at the hotel, got to our room, top floor, middle room. As we entered I can admit we were like 4 overly excited kids at how amazing our hotel room/apartment was (Check my pictures). Couldn't believe our luck, it was unreal, balcony was huge. Perfect, couldn't believe it. Clean room, cleaned every day. Woke up one afternoon with a cleaner dusting my feet. Bit worrying. Air con too, beautiful in the heat.
Pool was nice, 3 meals with unlimited buffet per day. We only ended up being awake for one meal a day. Different choices every day but not much to pick from. Pool was a bit on the small side. We was a bus ride or taxi ride away from the strip and a 5-10 minute walk from the beach. You're in a little area with other hotels and shops. Also on the main road. Always busy too.
The staff, the hotel was a family hotel. The rooms we're so nice it was obvious they didn't want our type of custom there. They we're a bit unfriendly, clearly didn't want us there. Even when I went down to pay for the Wi-Fi it was like they didn't want my money. Shop next to the hotel which was helpful. All inclusive meant smalls drinks and coffee.
As for Sunny Beach itself. 4 of us ended up splitting up in two's on the first night. Me and my friend calmy walking the 30-45 minute walk down the long main road from our strip to the hotel ended up getting abused, bottles thrown at us and chased because we plainly said no and ignored them when begging for money from young local males. Just having a calm walk back, no trouble and got attacked for no reason. Taxi there and back every night from then on. Set the tone so to say. Bus right outside on the main road straight to the strip for 1Leva, be prepared to be compacted in a tin can though.
Rained 3 times that week too. Mid July.
I'd never go to Sunny Beach again, that hotel I would just for the room.

The good .rooms nice but noisy
In a quite quiet area.
The bad !poor food cold at the best of times.very limited choice of food.3 or 4 main choices if you were lucky .had mackerel one day .and the next day mackerel served in baked beans .never more than two deserts which were the same every day .
The bar young lad great nice smile .but they had a young girl who was surly and rude .and never at the bar .the customers had to go looking for her.pool area very small pictures misleading.
I was given a room by the road very noisy I couldn't sleep.i asked to change and the demanded about £300 for the 9 nights on top ot what I I had already paid .I ended up going to another hotel (imperial) for two nights paid £35 and night .well worth it .
The older man on reception was miserable, and the blonde older lady manager always had a scowl on her face and never smiled .
was on the 1st floor with about 5 floors above.and when they flushed the toilet you could hear it rattling down the soil waste pipes in the toilet not pleasant. When I tried to change my room to the other side .the other side was practically empty .the cleaners were very nice .also the young guys and young lady on reception
My advice is go to the imperial instead
On the last day after I had checked out the surly barmaid said that no drinks were allowed after check out even though I had about 4 hours to wait at the hotel

I found the Hotel exactly what I expected and more for the price. The staff were very friendly with special mention to Diana, Annie and the barmen Sami and Anton for making me feel welcome. The hotel is in a good location 5min walk to the beach and situated between a nice historic town and approx 1.5k from the main bars of Sunny Beach. If you like a compromise between nightlife and a quiet family location I would say it is ideal but I would say choose somewhere else if that is your preferred option. The Hotel and the room were well kept, however more sunbeds were needed for guests at the pool and the food was nice even if a little repetitive at times. And the weather was absolutely perfect!

We booked this hotel through holiday gems through their website a week before we flew...then we looked at the reviews on here and started to worry - there was no need. The hotel is small but the rooms are big, the pool does what you'd expect and you are close to Nessebar and Sunny beach (but not to close that you can hear the depravity!)
This was a family holiday with two little girls (5 and 6), the staff were brilliant with them, they are nor all the smiliest bunch but most were very pleasant. The rooms had all that we needed and was in pretty good condition, the bar gave me alcohol so no complaints there. The only slight issue was the food, it wasn't great hence 4/5 and not higher. It was edible but nothing great. We paid for all inclusive but ate out a couple of nights as it is so cheap in Bulgaria.
Another thing that was missing if we were to return would be entertainment, there is none, not for children, not for adults, nothing. We amused ourselves and didn't see this as a major issue but others might.
All in all this is not a UK 4 star resort but it's nowhere near as bad as the rubbish written about it on here. Give it ago, its cheap and did what we wanted...

My wife and i stayed here at the forum hotel from 21st June to the 5th of July 2013 the room number was 201 right on the corner of the second floor the room was very spacious and clean with a flat screen tv. The food according to my wife was excellent as i am a fussy eater but to be honest i always found some thing to satisfy my taste. Most nights we ate out but not because of the food. Because it was cheep and we had met some really nice company. Milan & Martin were good fun and a pleasure to talk to overall the staff were very friendly and pleasant. Would we stay again at this hotel yes with no hesitations very peaceful and relaxing.

Me and my partner went to this wonderful hotel in the end of September 2012 and we had a great time there. It is a small hotel in the southern part of Sunny Beach. The location is very nice since it is close to Nessebar, the bus stops, beach and the small mini trains. Other good point is the staff. Very friendly and always pleaseure to talk to. They helped us from the first day with orientation since it is our first time in Bulgaria. The rooms are very big and spacious, at the same time warm and cozy. Good amenities also - LCD TV, air-con, mini-bar, hair drier, well everything for a 4-star hotel. Food is also of a good quality, good variety and nice ambience in the restaurant. The pool is a bit small but we preferred the beach anyways. I would recommend this hotel for sure to my friends.

I think that Forum Hotel is a nice small hotel. Is has charm, and the rooms are nice. I agree that the "all incl" isn't the best in the world, but the food is good. If you want "everything" to eat, you must stay at a big hotel with hundreds of guest. Your choice! I prefer a small and cosy hotel!
Why would you it is very small and frezzzzzzzzzing, not just cold but frezzzzzzing
There are a couple but I don't know if they will be open at that time. We went at the start of the season so not everything was open.
There is a john smiths bar around the corner. A couple of cocktail bars (part of the bigger hotels) and some beach bars about 5-10 mins walk (but I think they will shut earlier). Taxi to flower street will cost you about 15 lev (£6-7) on a night time
