So many positives we were greeted by friendly reception staff on arrival. We were offered help with our cases from the minibus to our room which was on the 10th floor overlooking the pool and beach. the room had kettle with mugs (shop downstairs sells water and milk run by great people). The rooms have a cooler fridge leave the cupboard door open it runs more efficiently. Free aircon and mini safe. Our safe didnt work they immediately replaced it. Clean towels daily and sheets changed midweek. Breakfast consisted of pastries/croissants and toast, fresh fruit our favourite chilled slices of oranges. Cooked breakfast and cold cheeses, meats and salad. Teas, coffees and juice from the machines. Dinner was more difficult for my husband although he had soup, pizza, chops and chips. We loved the desserts. We enjoyed our meals out in the garden under the gazebos overlooking the beach followed by drinks at very reasonable prices large beer 3levs and 4 cocktails for 20lev. Plenty of small supermarkets around as well as pharmacies. Lots of stalls on beach promenade leading up to flower street. Bus on main road turn Right out of shop entrance until you reach main road crossover and for 2levs you can reach the old town well worth a visit.

Not a 3* hotel. We stayed on half board basis expecting half decent food but we were sorely disappointed. At least at breakfast you could eat something even if it was just toast but the evening meal was a disgrace. You could have pizza, fish fingers, chicken nuggets all with chips! They did present a couple of other dishes either chicken curry or their interpretation of it and some sort of beef stew oh and chips! Lots of salad but no cold meats to go with it unless you wanted salad an and chips! Rooms were ok but the bathroom was dangerous after you had showered as the shower was on the wall so it became a wet room / no rails or anything to stop you from slipping and if you forgot to move the toilet roll it got sopping wet. The music was loud and carried on until the early morning either from the karaoke bar or the bars near the hotel. The only plus to this hotel was the view.

My husband and I stayed for a week here with no complaints we felt comfortable and relaxed,,we did upgrade to an apartment with a Seaview wich was excellent as the rooms are tiny,,the lovely smiley lady on reception was very helpful as we're the bar staff in particular at the Kareoke bar we found Demetrie very entertaining,,food was okay for a 3star very Bulgarian could of done with some English food at times ,,breakfast was also a strange combination,,location is excellent right on the beach,,sunny beach itself yes prices have gone up and cheaper cuts of meat are used but it's a lot cleaner than old and becoming more for families which is good,,avoid all inclusive heard loads of complaints about the food and drink,,shopping for clothing is excellent and always come home with a new designer bag and hoodie,,the children's clothes are amazing,,we did the quad bikes this time and the mud baths both trips were amazing and do some research on who to book trips with,,have been 6 times now and will be returning next year to the Palace Hotel as its kept spotless and also has lovely gardens,,hope this review was helpful..

We stayed at this hotel between 12th-19th September 2022 as a couple. We thought of 8 good things about the hotel: The bed wasn't uncomfortable but wasn't the best (the pillows were awful). The shower was powerful but not practical (the whole wet room gets soaked). The aircon was nice when it started working. Cheap drinks in hotel bar. Reasonably priced shop. Safe in room but too small to put much in (can't fit an iPad in it). Late checkout at 6pm for 50 lev. Close to the beach and main strip. When we arrived at 1/2am in the morning, we had a miserable and rude young man check us in and we got sent to the loudest room in the hotel on floor 3 by the lift. We also soon realised our room was connected to another room, that wasn't locked and we walked into someone else's room and gave them a rude awakening. We then asked the next day to move room, which we did at 12 noon to floor 10, room much quieter and not connected to another room. The room was cleaned to a very low standard and was not cleaned daily. The bed sheets get dirty when you put your feet into the bed as the floor was never swept or mopped. Decor outdated and not maintained, room beyond basic and not looked after. Had a fridge that overheated so had to be pulled out of cupboard with door to cupboard left open. Kettle but no tea or coffee. Filthy and smelly mugs and glasses in rooms, which never got replaced. Tiniest bin in the world that got emptied every couple of days but rubbish that wouldn't fit i.e. bottles were not collected. Bedding never changed. Last couple of days, no maid visited our rooms so we had no clean towels or toilet roll. Balcony chairs awful and old, a child could fit in them. Lifts outdated and tiny, difficult to get down during busy periods. Food was very below average and we just ate it as we had paid for it and needed to eat. Very little variety, not many options, cold, tasteless, not good food. Pool area was awful, most of the day the majority of it was in the shade and when it was windy, it was freezing there. Didn't see the pool get cleaned once, full of twigs and pines from the trees. Sun loungers were filthy and oily. Staff were generally not very approachable and not very polite. The staff in the shop were lovely and helpful. The beach was lovely and it is 9 lev per sun bed or umbrella but avoid the jelly fish! The resort was pretty quiet around the time we visited but always happy hour and cheap to eat and drink there. Cheap and tacky resort, full of fake designer shops etc.

I don’t usually write a review as I honestly believe you can’t please everyone. Rooms are adequate with clean sheets and towels. I don’t feel the rooms were cleaned to a high standard and think that is reflected throughout the hotel including the pool area. This is a shame as the hotel is right opposite the beach and on the main drag. The bathroom is really small which isn’t a problem but the shower has no tray or screen so it is basically a wet room. This means once you have had shower, if you need to use the bathroom afterwards, the floor is soaking wet and remains so until it eventually dries out. My final complaint is the food. I booked this hotel, as although it is only a 3 star, as the reviews said the food was excellent and plenty of choice. Believe me I am not a picky eater and as long as there is salad and a choice of fish or chicken or some other meat I am happy. There is a choice of salad which is quite nice but you will find no fish, chicken or meat to go with it. Everything with meat in it seems to be out of a tin and not very appetising. Breakfast is a lot better. On reflection it was a cheap break probably because it was at the end of the season but if I had paid a lot of money to come here during the summer months I would definitely have not been happy.

Hotel is clean, friendly and relaxed. Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels daily. Room is small but has free air con, fridge, kettle and safe. Most if not all of the rooms have see view and the pool view rooms get the afternoon sun. The pool is small and shaded most of the day, you can consume your own drinks and snacks for the pool area and quite surprisingly the hotel bar area. The food was disappointing, I'm not fussy but struggled to be fed, luckily most nights had pizza. Lots of restaurants along the beach front all the way to flower street(msin Street). The hotel is beach fronted easy to find your way home. Sunny beach in September is quiet and mainly full of older people, the weather isn't the best, lots of places closing for winter. Finally it's not as cheep as I thought, yes you can hunt down a beer for a pound but you'll pay £3.50 for gin or vodka plus mixer cost and cocktails are about £5.

First time in Bulgaria so not sure what to expect. 😊 Check in very good friendly lady on the front desk allocated us a fabulous sea view room on the 12th floor. Free air con which was fantastic and an added bonus. Small fridge again an added bonus. Room basic but clean. Smallest tv ever encountered and rubbish channels. Went to the bar and a lovely friendly bar man served us our first beer which after a day travelling went down well ( soon realised it was not a good beer and flat) but plenty of other choices outside the hotel) Lovely gardens and beach. Bad 😫 If you get to dinner at 6 pm you can find something that looks ok to eat, but ten minutes later it’s a mess😫 it got worse at the weekend when the queues were unbearable to get served. The people smoking during dinner was awful the smoke drifted into the restaurant and all around the smoking areas 😫🤢 This was the same in the Place karaoke bar it was full of smoke so we never used it again. All in all this is a lovely hotel but would think twice about going back because of smoke and the restaurant.

Not sure how this hotel has so many good reviews. I’m not fussy but this is definitely not a 3 star hotel, firstly the front desk couldn’t speak English hardly at all when I was asking if we were able to check in (I don’t expect everyone to speak English but was extremely difficult to speak to any staff members about anything) then when we got to our room all of our plug sockets were hanging off the wall (this is a reoccurring theme it seems throughout the hotel) also our cupboard door was hanging on by 1 join. our towels had holes in them and stains on bedsheets and towels. And the smell from the drainage system when showering is awful, however it is powerful shower (only positive) On our second day I put the plug down in the sink and it would not come back out so we had a sink of water for that night as we was going out, then when I reported it the man at the desk came up and proceeded to show us how to use the safe? Clearly misunderstanding so I tried to show him the plug and he didn’t say anything and walked out. We was both wanting to get showered and go out but didn’t want to use the shower if he was going to come back. 15 minutes pass and I go back down and he is stood smoking outside and only when I asked again did he say he would get a ‘technical man’ to come. He came 10 minutes after and completely removed the plug so we had no plug at all, not a major issue but still. Had same issue as others with air con being temperamental. The cleaner woman was getting on my last nerve walking in nearly every morning when we had do not disturb, absolutely ridiculous I don’t appreciate someone nearly walking in on me naked. And finally, the food! I can’t comment on the dinner because we never wanted to stay in and eat but because we didn’t have the option of room only and had to have half board with tui we tried breakfast one morning and never again. Fresh fruit was just warm fruit left out and was browned. There was a good selection of cheeses and bread and everything else was just awful, watery beans and snotty eggs. We only stayed 4 nights so was bareable but I’d never go here again.
