We stayed at Bahami Residence, because the Bahami hotel was full.
As it was mentioned before - there is no bin in the room. The room wasn't cleaned for the 3 days that we were stayed and everything was in sand. Also, when the toilet paper over it wasn't replaced with new one.

It is too expensive room for poor quality. It should not be more than 25 euro/night - only because of the good location.

Good sides of the Residence:
- location - close to the center (~10 mins) and to the beach (~15 mins);
- parking place - in front of the Residence. We also used the Bahami hotel parking as well for free.

Stayed here in the summer of 2014. Nice place, nice staff to be honest I was expecting worst than that but it was ok for the price. The beach is 10 mins by walk from the property which is not so bad. Sunny Beach is a lovely place!

Hey everyone,
Pls let me tell u how bloody bad this hotel is:
On arrival we were greeted by a female receptionist which was an OK ( for Bulgarian standards anyways) and we were soon checked in to our room which was the first and major disappointment of our stay and holidays...Room was dirty! Bathroom was shocking - u could see that the toilet and the shower wasn't cleaned at all, the floor was covered in human hair ( from all body parts)...and because we paid extra with our travel agent for under occupancy but we found just one double bed we decided to ask for a different room as from a description that Balkan Holidays gave us it had to be a bigger and better room...Anyways, it wasn't sorted straight away we had to wait till next day to be moved...and what a disappointment again! The room was even more dirty and of the same size again ( even though we mentioned to the girl why we are wanting a move- and the main reason was cleanliness and size). But anyways, we didn't say anything as we didn't want to spend all of our holidays moving rooms...Seeing the standards of the hotel I decided that probably they don't even do the servicing of the room but the next day to my great surprise we found that room attendant was in our room just to fix the bed ( witch consisted of 2 pillows, a single sheet that didn't cover the double bed and 2 duvet covers), take trash out...bathroom was left unattended again:dirty shower, toilet, floors and NO toilet roll... I made a point at the reception again that we would like our bathroom cleaned but it wasn't done anyways for the rest of our stay and I ended up cleaning it each day myself...
Lights weren't working in the room, hot water boiler was never full enough for 2 showers as the maid would switch it off when she was coming to 'service' the room, when working the boiler and air-conditioner were very noisy! Kitchenette did consist of microwave, 2 rings stove, mini fridge and no cutlery that human being could use coz it was rusty, 2 plates, 2 glasses ( one was chipped so unusable) and a pot. To my great disappointment there was no kettle or mugs to make a cup of tea or coffee which I like to have in the morning...but what made it even worse that at the hotel bar coffee was so bad that I went for a week without...
The food and drinks were appalling in the bar on site...as for service - it was none really...one morning we were waiting for a salad and sandwich for over an hour...
I could go on and on how disappointing this hotel was...but to be honest it would take me hours so I am leaving it at it! lol

I thought I'd seen bad hotels, and even worse hotels, but this one defies belief.

My sister-in-law booked, through a major online agency, a room at Bahami Residence for her sister (my wife) and me, and another for their mother and herself, in order to spend a 16-day holiday together. Ours was meant to be a 35m² room with a pool view, a kitchen, a fireplace and a folding sofa, and the booking stated the full price that the hotel was going to charge us. When I and my wife arrived, we were first asked to pay (in cash), which we naïvely did, although the price was somewhat higher (the explanation being that there was a local tax, but it wasn't mentioned in the booking because the agency hadn't made it possible for the hotel to declare it).

Then we were taken to another building (with a sign saying simply Bahami; some booking agencies actually list it as a different hotel), rather farther from the beach and with no properly paved street but just a stony path leading to it; and there we were shown to a room about a third of the stated size, with a distant view of another hotel's pool, and no kitchen, sofa or fireplace. When we protested, the manager came (a blond woman, in all likelihood the same who's been featured in several other people's reviews here), and we learned the following: The room was 35m² all right, as not only the balcony and bathroom but also the thickness of the walls had to be counted in (this was already ridiculous); the booking didn't say which hotel's pool we were to have a view of; and regardless of what it said, the price we'd paid was for a room without a kitchen. Still, the manager suggested that we could be moved to a room with a microwave oven, and be lent a little electric stove, pans, crockery and cutlery, which we should regard as a very special favour because normally kitchens weren't equipped with any such things. We thought we might agree to such a change.

In the meantime my in-laws arrived as well, found out we had taken their room (!), were offered an even worse deal, and a similar conversation began between them and the manager (Slava Dimitrova, we learned her name was), with my wife and me joining in. The manager getting progressively more abusive and impatient. What infuriated her most, it seemed, was my insistence that what was written in the booking was no more than our due. We were told, unceremoniously, that her only concern was money, that we'd already cost her too much time and courtesy whilst there were more expensive guests waiting, and it was in her mind to move us to even more basic accommodation if we went on rocking the boat. My mother-in-law looked quite ill, and at a certain point I actually feared for her health. Since they hadn't paid anything, my sister-in-law decided they should go to another hotel, at a much higher cost and at quite some distance (there went our plans for a holiday together). My wife and I, having made our payment, had no choice but to stay, although we did wonder what would happen.

And now comes the best part. On the next day, when we came back from the beach, we found that all the kitchen equipment that had been brought to the room was gone! So much about lending it to us as an upgrade. We didn't bother talking to the administration about this, as we obviously inhabited different realities.

And that was the last time any hotel staff entered our room. During our entire stay there our room wasn't made up even once, our towels were never changed and the bin wasn't emptied. (The wi-fi was down most of the time as well, but that probably affected the whole building, not just our room.)

So good to be away.

As you value your life or your reason

I will start by saying I had never previously been to Sunny Resort or Bulgaria and had booked short notice through the local COOP travel agent. We were warned that the Bulgarian standards of cleanliness were not as high as those in the UK, but having served in the Balkans I wasn't completely blind to the differences.
This was by far the worst hotel I have ever had the misfortune of staying in. Met at reception in the main hotel by a pleasant enough receptionist with my wife and teenage girls we were told that we would be staying in the other part of the hotel. We were transported there by a member of the Bahami team who drove round the block to this other building. I understand why as between the two is a building site which our "apartment" overlooked. There was no information about the hotel and facilities on offer.
We were given a key and told it was on the second floor. On walking into the room there were ants all over the floor and kitchen surfaces. These were clearly attracted by the layers of grease over the counter, splash back and contents of the cupboards.
There was an old cupboard door, picture frame, some wood and a plastic tray behind the fridge. The chairs were badly worn with all the plc covering peeling off(this would stick to our legs and clothes later leaving a trail all round the room).
Plug sockets were hanging out the walls, the toilet/ shower room floor was dirty and there was a pile of builders dust behind the toilet. A label had been wrapped round the toilet seat to signify that it had been cleaned. On removal it became clear that the seat and lid had not seen any cleaning materials. The seat and lid were both melted and the toilet brush looked and smelt like it had been used to clean the local sewer without being rinsed after.
The mattresses were stained from multiple occupants sweating (or loss of other bodily fluids) and the sheets were stained though they had been washed.
There was only one chair on the balcony and the plastic table had clearly been used as an ashtray with cigarette burns all over it.
On attempting to unpack we found the remnants of previous guests in one of the wardrobes and the local handyman's tools in some of the draws.
Having first washed the crockery and surfaces we set off to explore some of the resort returning in the late evening. We attempted to see what might be on the TV to find that there were no channels programmed in and when we tried to tune it the arial wasn't connected properly so we had no chance of any terrestrial or cable TV as advertised.
We were aware that the resort was also targeted at the younger generation intent on partying hard into the wee small hours, but felt that as it was also advertised as a family destination it would be suitable. How wrong were we!!!!! All night coming and going with drunken crowds of young people, parties in the rooms below and above. A non existent rule of respect for other guests after 11pm.
When we spoke to staff about the ants they offered us salon bite spray which had clearly been left by a previous guest. Other issues were just ignored.
The pool at the other building was clean and well maintained so we used it frequently. Sadly though there was no bar or cafe in the building.
We spoke to our Balkans Holiday rep Sylvia about this and within minutes of her going to reception we were moved back to the main complex where the floors had just been mopped but there was no kettle, only 2 spoons, 1 knife and no bin.
We were offered a free meal by way of recompence from the hotel and given a voucher to produce at the bar by the receptionist. We sat down to order our food to be told the voucher was for the set meal(all inclusive residents) and consisted of a nice salad starter and desert but stewed chicken and potatoes. We were not allowed to order off the menu using the voucher.
Staff were not rude but generally dismissive and as a previous reviewer has noted, you got the feeling you were an inconvenience to them.

Please don't let all this put you off the resort!! We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and found Balkans Holidays staff and organisation to be very good with the Lazy Days cruise value for money as well as the trip to Nesebar and our day in the Action Aqua park. Staff at most venues cater brilliantly for our lack of effort in learning other languages and can readily understand us while making every effort to be understood.
We ate regularly at the Sun Village opposite the BAHAMI and were really well looked after, so much so that we may go back next year and stay there instead.

As far as the BAHAMI RESIDENCE is concerned please steer well clear!!!

This is our first holiday in Bulgaria (Sunny beach). We absolutely love the resort, everyone is friendly and the food and drink are tremendous value, we are probably spending half the amount in Spain/Portugal when eating out etc. How holiday unfortunately is being spoilt by our sub standard hotel, which in our opinion, is the worst one we have ever stayed in. We paid for a room upgrade, but find ourselves in a room that can only be described as a box (it is 3m x 3m). There is no room to store clothing, cosmetics. If there was room there still would be nowhere to store the suitcases. The balcony is not big enough for 2 people to sit on it, and the air con unit is in such a position that you bang your head when you stand up. The minuscule bathroom has mould on the ceiling and a hole in the wall. Due the slipping ceiling it would be perfect for anyone under 5feet tall, unfortunately I have to walk on a slant. We do have a small fridge and kettle, the kettle is on the bed side table and fridge in the wardrobe (taking up the small amount of storage space).

I would recommend anyone to come to Bulgaria, but AVOID this hotel. This is the first time I have left a 1star review, we travel extensively and this has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

This was our first time in Bulgaria so my partner and myself were excited as to what was on offer. We checked into the hotel and we were asked if we wanted to pay for wifi and if we did was it per day or week so we got it for the week which was 30 lev per device (we were then told by another couple that you could connect free as they did). Also for the week that we were staying our sheets where not changed once as there was a mark/stain at the beginning which was there until the end and also having to ration toilet paper as we got one every couple of days. We were also going to pay to put some belongings into a safe which were kept down at reception and I am so glad that we didnt as the man in front was asking for his key (they kept it at reception) the woman showed him the key that was left sitting on the counter so baisically anyone who walked past could have lifted it as the safes were right beside the desk. The highlight of our stay was sitting on the balcony and my chair breaking resulting in me banging my back hard against the wall (the chair was a plastic garden chair costing at most £5) my partner then went down to report what had happened to reception and was told someone would come up. A very largely built man who had an attitude and was more ignorant than you can imagine then came up demanding €100 which we refused to pay, after my partner explaining how I hurt myself and how I was clearly just sitting on it he clearly stated that he did not care and demanded 50 lev and was not leaving until he got it. At this point all I wanted was for him to leave the room as he was very intimidating so we gave him the money. The next day we went down to reception which we were suprised anyone was there as it was usually empty to try and get information on our rep so as we could speak to them which we were told we should know how to contact them ourselves. Speaking to other couples/families staying they experienced getting fines for pretty much anything, it got to the point where I didnt want to turn my hair dryer on incase we got a fine for noise as this is how ridiculous it got. The fact that they sent up so called 'security men' to intimidate their guests and make them feel unsafe whilst staying is unbelievable and I have never seen or heard of anything like it. All I can say is that this resort ruined our holiday and I cannot express my feelings enough for people not to waste their money and their holiday here as I would hate for anyone else to have the same experience that we did. On a brighter note the restaurant/bar who is not run by the residence was great value for money and amazing quality of food and is owned by a lovely couple and they could not have been any friendlier and for as the two women who own the shop beside were more welcoming than anyone in the resort.

Stayed here for the first time in July 2015 and was amazed by it. For a start there are security guards outside (real tough guys). When i got the key to my room, i was greeted with a nice flat screen TV in the living room complete with a kitchenette with hob and fridge. The pool is cold in the morning but will warm up during the day and is a great relaxing spot for young and old alike. The absolute highlight has to be the bar/restaurant, absolutely brilliant food we had on the first night we stayed here. The bar is also a great spot for relaxing by with very reasonable prices and a genuinely chilled atmosphere at 11 in the morning or 11 at night. The staff are genuinely lovely and will do everything to help you during your stay. I am planning staying at this hotel again later in July 2016. An absolute recommendation for anyone

Last minute holiday only booked a week before departure and we only checked reviews after booking ,so we were nervous as to what we would find.
We were delighted with the pleasant reception and smooth check in in the early hours when we arrived. The room was a good size and very clean with modern fresh decor and plenty of storage space. It was nice to find some cloths and washing up liquid in the kitchen too, the room was serviced daily and fresh towels supplied and sheets were changed once during our weeks stay.
The pool area was well maintained and got the sun all day. The restaurant and bar area was also very nice and all food was good and reasonably priced. There is a small on site 24 hour shop which had most items and reasonable prices.
All staff were friendly and helpful from the shop and bar/restaurant to reception especially Pauline. We would definitely stay here again.
