I would like to thank to the Reception staff their kindness! They were so helpful with me and my friends.
At the very first day my friends arriwed with broken car in Bulgaria, from Romania, they were on the road, they speak no english,so I made the phone call from Romania, spoke with the hotel, and they made the connection with other staff (I didn't catch their name 🙄🙂) to resolve the problem with the transport and the car service.
My friends were also very satisfied with the staff, they felt very good.
Thanking you your patience and kindness! Good team. 👊
Wish you all the best!

We took the opportunity of a quick week away whilst also celebrating my birthday. We flew from Edinburgh on the 26th June 15 to Burgas in Bulgaria with the flight taking approx 3 1/2 hours.

Being a European citizen passing through passport control was very quick and after collecting our luggage we proceeded to try and locate the transfer rep.

The trip to the hotel took appx 30 mins, arriving about 4.30pm local, there is a two hour difference between the UK and Bulgaria. We checked in and were then taken to our room by the security cum bellhope who throughout the holiday was a very friendly person. The holiday was for full board.

The room was on the 4th floor, and after being shown how to operate the air conditioning and television we started to unpack our belongings. The room was clean, well maintained and airy, consisting of two single beds. The matress was in good condition and the sheets were clean. General state of the whole room and bathroom was of a high standard and there were no 'hidden horrors'

Being full board, we headed down to dinner at appx 6.30pm and had our first meal. Im not that fussy an eater nor is my wife however we believe that the meals were orientated towards the eastern block Europeans. Over the period of the week we realised that the best meal for us was the lunchtime one, a menu was provided of 4 courses that could be taken and it made it much simplier to know what was available to temp the palate.

The hotel staff were constantly ensuring that the hotel was kept to a extremely high standard, the pool area was in a good condition however there were two wooden coverings over some underground unit which did need finishing off with a facier to stop people from cutting or hurting their feet.......this was really a minor problem and at no time did i see anyone have any accidents.

The hotel is in easy walking distance to the strip along the beach where all the bars and shops are. It took us about 5 mins.

Both food and drink in Buglaria is cheap, a pint at the hotel was 2.5 lev, whilst a Cuba libra (Bacardi and coke type drink) was 3 lev. Missing one breakfast I had one out on the strip and it cost 7 lev.

The exchange rate at the time was 2.66 lev to the pound.

I would have no hestitation of going back to this hotel and would recommend it to other people from the UK.

Any questions please do not hesitate in contacting me.

A TRUE REVIEW

JUST CAME BACK FROM HOTEL FLAMINGO IN BULGARIA
Stayed from 12th till 19th
THE HOTEL IS CLEAN THE ROOMS ARE BIG
I WAS SITUATED ON THE SECOND FLOOR ,JUST OUT SIDE THE BAR WITH THE CHAIRS IN THE POOL were you can HAVE A DRINK THIS IS A NICE PLACE TO SIT AND HAVE A DRINK, but being in my room the music was on from 9am till very late and was loud it spoiled my holiday to be honest, as you could not sit out on the balcony with all this noise its boom-boom-boom all day not just my floor but all of them ask for the front of hotel if you want it quite

The food was ok but not brilliant you will be able to find something to eat.
Heard lots of complaints about the food not hot. From other guests which is true
The people in the restaurant were not happy and soon as you finfish a part of your meal the plates were gone I went to get a coffee when I came back my toast, and fresh orange had gone and another guest had taken my table this happened more than once

The hotel is about 30-40 minutes’ walk to get to the strip and the strip is very long but go up and you can turn right to many more bars and restaurants and entertainment
The bathroom was a good size shower was great but it flooded the room so be careful when drying also no plug for sink and the worst part is the toilet it’s so small you can’t do a number 2 with seat down, so had to sit on the rime ask for top room
Im not a big bloke
Lots of Russians, Germans, and noise kids running around in dining room
I would go back to Bulgaria again but not at this hotel

Hi,
My partner and I recently took a 3 week vacation in Bulgaria and we stayed at a very nice hotel at the Sunny Beach called the' Flamingo'.
This hotel is pretty much centrally located and is a few minutes walking only to the beach, restaurants, bars, shops and convenience stores.
We booked for half board there and every day there was a fine buffet-style breakfast and evening dining with a selection to suit most tastes.
The rooms and pool were cleaned regularly and the management and staff were helpful and polite.
There is a small shop located inside for essentials and a large TV in the dining area showing football, F1, etc. for sports fans.
Overall, then, a reasonably priced, convenient and family-friendly accommodation.

i was a little worried going to this hotel with the lack of reviews but it was a brilliant hotel. It was such a great deal! A 4 star hotel with excellent customer service, great room with balcony and air con, so clean throughout the hotel, brilliant pool with music playing all day and a little waitress coming round so you can order food and drink. Its just far enough out of the action so its nice and quiet but only a 10 minute walk to the beach (max) and to the bars. The hotel was full of Ducth, Russians, Germans and we were pretty much teh only Brits which was also a nice change. I would definitely recommend it to anyone....this place was a complete find!

It is the third year in a row that I stay in Flamingo. This hotel impoves with every year. The location is perfect, close to attractions but quite enogh for relaxing. The pool is always clean and there are enough sun beds. Great music by the pool all day. The hotel is siutable for both young people and families with kids, this is really surprising. The staff is kind and attentive and most important, flexible. The food is good, pizza is great and there is variaty for dinner (buffet), bulgarian and european cuisine. Often hotels don't offer this much for full board packages. Try the karaoke on Saturdya night, very relaxed...The parking is also a plus. Very European hotel overall.

You are NOT allowed to bring food or alcohol in the room. They frisk your personal stuff for alcohol when you check in.
Location is 30 minutes walk (august) from a restuatant.
Hotel restuarant is no option food is UNEATABLE.
If you go out at evening make surebto eat on the way back or you starve.
Rooms are clean.
I SEEN REVIEWS OF PEOPLE RANKING THIS 5 STAR... CANT SEE WHY. WASTE OFNYOUR MONEY. NO FUN.

If i could rate it 0 i was doing it long time ago. Bad location, the food has taste of crap and the most important thing- the stuff is disgusting. You cant ask them a questions because all the time is the same answer- "NO!". If you want to save your things dont let them clean your room. the cleaner stole my friend's jeans, other friends perfium, and my neckless, they didnt allow to use their phone for making resevation in places even that they knew that we cant make calls, they are making problem about changing towels, there was a humiliating attitude for us from the beggining untill the end. We paid now for the 3 misrable towels 48 bulgarian leva and and more 22 levas for the mini bar, because a tall guy from the reception i think name IVO (or a semilar name) took our receipt.he is scamer dont ask from him nothing (a very tall guy shory black hair). You can have also a cocktail from the pool, but wait at least 1 hour for a simple Blue lagoon cocktail . If i could rate it 0 i was doing it defenatly. Shame of hotel, every thing here is bad, they only try to suck more money from nothing, never coming back there and i hope for you guys u will never do my mistake eather.

Responded Sep 1, 2017
Dear Mr. Matan, The hotel is 13 years old and the same maids are working in the hotel, and there has never been a single complaint about stolen things during these 13 years. It's strange why we have no signal from You about stolen jeans. Each time You've wanted to make a booking for a disco club everybody from the stuff politely did it for You and helped You! When You released Your room, You were missing hotel towels and consumed products from the mini-bar that You naturally have to pay for. We will not comment on your allegations of service staff, as each year the hotel is rewarded by the largest tour operators for excellent service. It would be normal to complain in the complaints book or to look for the front office manager, which You did not.

I'm coming to this hotel 3 years in a row and I'm always having a great time. Food, when ordered from the list, is delicious. Even when it is very warm, here is a nice breeze and you can stay by the pool the whole day. Staff is very friendly. This hotel is suitable dor young people, families with small children, but also for people looking to just chill.
Im very happy here
