I was attracted to this hotel based on its location by the beach and the relatively good reviews on the food. Having spent more than a week with my family there, I have had the opportunity to observe everything that it offers. On the positive side, I was happy with the safety measures taken by the hotel with regards to COVID – 19. There are disinfectants everywhere, in the restaurant the food is being offered to the guests behind screens to avoid self-service, and I believe this is the right way to do it under these challenging circumstances. Of course, this requires arduous work from the restaurant staff, and I have seen how hard the staff has been working. I admire Mr. M. Zhivkov, F&B Manager, who was literally everywhere where assistance was needed, always polite and offering his help, very professional. I also admire the bar tenders of the lobby and beach bar, who have also been restless to serve always thirsty crowds. What could be improved, in my view, is the following. Chambermaids have been very good in cleaning our room, however we only got soap on our first day, and have had to ask for shampoos on day 2 as we did not get a reload. Calling the reception for missing things is not something I enjoy doing especially in a four star hotel and considering the price we have paid for our vacation. Receptionists have been very polite though however this does not compensate for the gaps. The second hotel card we got to open our room never worked, despite the fact it was programmed several times. As to the beach, you could never make it to the first or second row of umbrellas next to the sea. Some Romanian guests would always place their towels on the chairs early enough and then take breakfast. The hotel stuff did not seem to be bothered at all. The food in the restaurant is very average, quality is bad. Vegetarians may struggle if they come later for dinner or lunch. The meat is of low quality, despite the variety that is offered. And the restaurant itself looks like a… canteen. Drinks… ultra all inclusive was supposed to mean imported liquor, however I believe only Martini came to this category. Water bottles are ONLY offered in one place, namely the lobby bar, which creates certain inconveniences not only for guests but for the bar tenders as well. Why not have water bottles in other bars as well? To resume, for me this hotel is definitely NOT a good value for money, mainly because of the food. And the food is important part of the holiday.

Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The location couldn't be better - right next to the promenade with clean beach in front of it. The view from the room is spectacular. Wide choice of dishes in the restaurant. We will come back!

It is a nice hotel with good location - just a step away from the beach and close to the centre of the resort. The room was clean and spacious. The staff is friendly both at the reception and restaurant. Totally recommend it!

It is the 3-rd time we have spent our holiday in Albena, but the second time here,in the Kaliakra hotel. Anybody can imagine why we have come back! It was so very pleasant to be in contact with the lovely people working here, smiling faces, kind and efficient attitude of the personnel .The good and varied food and drinks for all tastes and ages is another good reason to come over and over again!!!! They respect the 4* level and customers of many nationalities seem to feel very cosy. There was nothing we wanted to know or get support from the managing stuff(Jansel Daudova the hotel manager and Martin from beverages and food department) that couldn't get a solution. We also enjoyed the evening musical shows with songs of a wide range of styles ,composers and periods of time. It is the first time I am writing a review about a hotel ,but I do it gladly and I express our family hope to come back to this great place very soon and more often to here the waves of the sea from our balcony, the murmur of the wind and children's voices in spite of any pandemic threat in this environment where we felt protected , safe with these caring people ! ! ! THANK YOU ALL GUYS!
