The hotel and its surroundings smells dated 70s!! Dirty, run-down and beneath contempt. Broken light bulbs, TV that doesn't work, shower curtain purchased in the '80s. The hotel breakfast could not be eaten because people smoked. The beach was nice but that's all.

This hotel is nothing like the pictures! Its very dirty, bad service, and really old. Luckily, our travel agency helped us out and gave us a new hotel for «free». I would recommend flamingo or maritim!

First of all sorry for my English, I'm from Romania.
I stayed in this hotel because was the only hotel with spare rooms, my friends stayed at another hotel Laguna Beach 4*. What can I say they all had complains about the food and the staff, on the other hand mine was excellent.
Different sorts of food every day drinks....lots of salads....deserts...stakes. Over all was much better than what i expected from a 3* hotel. The staff was very pleasant...they don't know too much English but they try. The only downside I can say is the the room was 2 feet from the pool.
If you're looking for a 3* hotel in Bulgaria, Albena check this out.

Very nice hotel direct on the beach in the central part of Albena. The room was excellent: seaview from the window, net against mosquitoes, big and clean bathroom. The buffet was in the nearby hotel Amelia. Breakfast good but somewhat banal, supper was excellent: big variety--soups, fish, chicken steaks, fruits and wonderful cakes.
A parasol on the beach with two deck-chairs were included in the price.
Organization--almost perfect. Beach was not overcrowded, clean, enough space for everybody, including parts without parasols.
Much greenery and open spaces in the whole resort, give it a relaxing outlook.
Some (small) drawbacks: the pool bar was playing an unpleasant, monotonous music all day long and continuing until 11 in the evening. After that--it was very quiet! So, I could not sleep in the afternoon as I am used to. Lots of children everywhere around the resort which is not surprising as Albena is promoted above all as a family destination. But screaming and playing in the hotel pool spoils somewhat the tranquility at daytime.
I must again repeat that 11 pm to 7-8 am it is absolutely quiet!
All in all a great resort and a very nice hotel!
I strongly recommend it especially to people on a budget!

Really enjoyed the stay, booked it again.
Staff were very friendly, spoke very good English, Bulgarian and Russian. Cleaner was very pleasant, very efficient.
Conviently next to the beach, with a pool with three different depths.
Food in Amelia was great, we were had breakfasts and dinners. Salad and fruit bars were wonderful, all fresh and lots of it.
One thing has to be improved for the whole resort - towels on loungers... We go early to the beach (08.30) and can't find free places because there are towels, scarves, sheets, stuff on the loungers! And people who "reserved" them turn up at 11ish! Just fine them like they do in Italy!
