This was the second year in the row we decided to have a summer holiday in Albena. For this year we choose this hotel because it appeared spot on just looking from outside. We were right, the service was excellent and professional right from our arrival and throughout our 5 days stay. Food was amazing, I dont really understand those people who made negative comments in their reviews; most of the food were bulgarian traditional food which was excellent and made of proper products. The only thing about catering we did not like was that you pay for drinks during dinners. It took us 2 days to find out there is a water dispenser in the dinning hall. I had the feeling this was perhaps on purpose so the hotel guests are made to pay more money in a 5 star hotel. I felt the hotel management should reconsider such approach and thinking of providing 100% service to their customers. I also question why there is no all inclusive option available. Again, it feels to me that the guests need to be made paid more as you either spend money for over expensive a la cart restaurant or elsewhere. We were aware of that before booking the stay, this is more or the less something what the management be considering; also people deciding whether to book holiday in the hotel or not. Last year we spent at Kaliakra  next door and this option was included. Beach: Sunbeds ok, it would be better having soft materaces but let's be happy for this at least. Similarly to Kaliakra people bring towels early in the mornings to reserve the sun beds and if you dont want to be at the back, you need to do it too. No one from the hotels (generally) seems to be bothered despite signs forbidding that in few languages. What was surprising for us, the guests of the hotel need to pay extra for the first 2 or 3 rows (this was quite unclear) and this is again the "lets get more money from the guests". At the end it wad not a big issue not being at the front, although our children would love it. Some of the reviews criticise no toilets by the beach. I must say, it is inconvenient rushing with young children to the pool to access toilets. Room: This was amazing, we loved it. Spa: There is a sauna a steam room on the 4th floor, worth of trying. Pool is good including water temperature. It is slightly cold but refreshing in such hot weather. Hotel pools: Great fun for our children. Water is cold but thats amazing when the weather is hot. Parking: Bear in mind the hotel is in the blue zone which charges 20 lv per day and we did this las year. For this year I parked the car at the bus station and used the free electric shuttle which is great; parking there costs 5 lv a day. You can still drop off luggage at the hotel, there is free 30 mins to enter the zone by car. We generally enjoyed the stay, however the management should be thinking how to encourage customers returning back. We checked for next year the price has doubled and this has put us off unfortunatelly and I feel that may put people off like us. I want to however thank the front line staff for their professionalism which is not really common in the bulgarian business sector.

Had an amazing vacation there. The room was very clean and light with a delicious coffee capsules in it. The bed was very soft and comfortable. The staff was young and smiling and very helpful. The interior in the hotel is modern. But the best part was that is so close to the beach where I spent most of the time. 100% recommend

Great place, hotel situated next to the promenade and beach, so it takes just 2-3 min to get to the beach which is very convenient, especially if you spend holidays with a family and you have tones of swimming toys to carry. Sun-beds are free ( apart from two first rows, which are paid) Hotel is new and well kept, room spacious and clean with daily service. ( we had studio so it was even more spacious with kitchen annex, huge bathroom, separate toilet and balcony joined with terrace. ) Elevators working fine even in high season. If you have studio or room facing the sea, you have the great view of the coast line. Staff is very helpful and polite, it’s so nice to be greeted everyday with a smile:-) There are 2 restaurants, one “ essential”and the second one “a la carte” Food tasty and really very varied, so even fussy eater will find sth worth trying. My kids loved great choice of fruits and sea food. Albena is rather small and quiet place, so those who like crowd and bustling noice of city might get disappointed. Baltata nearness produce abundance of mosquitos, thus evening walks might be annoying, if you do not use repellent. We spent there 10 days and brought with us great memories!

The hotel does not deserve more than 3 stars, the rooms are dirty, the food is extremely bad. potato soup 2 days in a row, an extremely bad chicken soup, salad that is not fresh and sunflower oil, all in a hotel that is supposed to be 5 stars. We and our child actually did not find anything at all to eat. I said maybe I was lucky with the fruit, but the watermelon was warm and past and the ice cream was soft and not individually wrapped. In the restaurant there is a dispenser for water, only that it is hot, and only one for the whole restaurant. The water in the pool is not heated. The beach has umbrellas and sunbed from communism, without matress, not to mention that the first 2 rows are only accessible for a fee. The restaurant a la carte has plastic glasses and the flowers after the meal are at least 1 week old. the beach does not have a toilet, to get to the toilet you have to come to the pool. Taking into account that we paid for a 5-star hotel, we expected it to have the related conditions. I don't know how the stars are received in Bulgaria, but I want to mention that we decided not to come here even is free. In one word i dont recommend the hotel at all!

Dear Zota, thank you for your comment ! During your stay we have discussed some of the mentioned points and we have tried our best to accommodate your requests. The hotel rooms are clean and cleaned every day. The food is selected to high quality. During the whole season we have welcomed over 30.000 guests and never had a single complaint about the food. It's a summer hotel and the air temperature is over 30 degrees, so the temperature in the pool does not need to be increased artificially. We offer our guests a beach in front of the hotel with provided umbrellas and sunbeds for free with high quality as well not from communism. The pool and the toilets are 1 minute away from the beach. Overall, the hotel is in perfect condition and we provide all the 5 stars amenities to our guests. We hope you will find better hotel for you someday. Wish you best of luck !

We've spent nine days this summer at the hotel and i can only have good words about everything - the rooms are very clean (the bed sheets for example are replaced daily unless you tell them not to); the hotel looks very good; i have parked in the underground parking, which has a limited number of places, but there is a large parking near the hotel and it looks much better then last year; the beach is clean and you can see the sea from your room; the food varies and is very good; it has a pool and a large special water play ground for children. If you want a place to spend the summer holiday at the sea with your family, this is a perfect place to choose.

For the second year in a row, I am staying at the hotel and my family is extremely satisfied with everything. (Me, my wife and my two-year-old daughter were guests). Right from the reception you will receive professional respect (Vasil and Nikolay), the rooms are exceptionally clean and cleaned daily (delicately). The restaurant always has delicious and high-quality seafood, traditional Bulgarian delicacies, and for vegans there is also a wide selection. There you will also meet Yavor - a high-class waiter. And of course - the swimming complex is cool. Thank you.

We had a fantastic stay here. This is a very modern hotel and everything was very clean. The rooms are spacious and very well designed. There is a lot of good storage space along the hall and the bathroom has both a shower and a tub, and a double vanity. The bed was amazing! Perfect firmness and support while also having a soft layer. Firm beds are much better for my back so this one was perfect. The pillows and bedding are very comfortable. I think most of the rooms whether doubles or king (which is the typical European style of two twins pushed together) also have a seating area with a sofa. The sofa might open out but we didn’t try that. The door to the balcony makes the room almost sound proof when you close it and it also has a great screen that you can pull closed to keep the door open but any insects out. The restaurant has a wonderful breakfast buffet with tons of choices (many egg varieties, bacon, sausage etc, cereals, yogurts, fruits, pastries, breads, veggies etc. You can get egg items cooked to order also. We ate at the buffet restaurant one evening and it was wonderful - similar style to breakfast with tons of options and you can also get things cooked to order. We had lunch at the Burger Bar by the pool one day and the food was surprisingly good for a poolside spot. There are 3 outside pool areas: one large pool, a toddler round pool, and a splash play water zone with slides etc. One caution is that the pools are not heated as much as Americans would be used to. I had to very slowly ease into the large pool because it was brisk. I think this is how they like it because usually the air is quite hot but it takes some getting used to. We enjoyed interacting with the pool lifeguard/helpers, especially Ivan. SPA - the spa area is very nice and included in the room rate. There is an indoor pool which was warmer than the outdoor one, steam room, sauna, yoga area, salt treatment area (for an extra fee) and treatment areas (massage, facials etc which are extra of course.) It was very relaxing. Also a gym area. BEACH - the beach is lovely. There is a dedicated area of umbrellas and lounge chairs in front of the hotel on the beach. The very first two rows by the sea cost extra but the rest are included in your room rate. You get two chairs and an umbrella per room at the beach and also by the pool. We happened to be visiting when it was not crowded at all and there was plenty of everything to go around. Having read other reviews of the area, I asked if you have to go put your towel out early and was told not at all. The signs by the pool and beach also say reserving spots is not allowed but I don’t know how it might work if it is packed. This is a very family friendly hotel with tons of kids activities - they call it Animation entertainment. Ping pong, dance parties, themed events for the kids. There are several little shops along the promenade in front of the hotel. There are a series of hotels along this. There are also restaurants, a grocery, and lots of Knick knack type shops and kid entertainment type things (sort of like mini carnival games.) The bellman/general helper named Vasil was amazing! He seems to know everything and is incredibly helpful. The other staff was also friendly and helpful. Everything was top notch for our stay and we highly recommend this hotel.
