We have booked to stay in Boryana's Hotel for 5 nights. It was our 1st time at this 3☆ hotel and last!At the arrival we were pleasantly surprised at the clean, new and tidy reception area. The receptionist gave us( family of 3) the option to have lunch and than to check in at 14.00pm.Well ,as soon as we left the reception area towards the restorant we thought this will be another story. The restaurant area was dirty from the windows to all serving stations. You could see grease everywhere, even the Covid19 food screen protectors were not clean and they were falling down all the time.Varietes of food were very limited and always THE SAME through our 6 days stay.Same breakfast (boiled and scrambled eggs, same type sallami ,cheddar and white cheese, olives and the leftover tomatoes and cucumbers from dinner).Fruits were excactly the same every day through the 3 main meals.Icecream was runny all the time and the staff looked stressed! Now moving to the room.Wow ,what a shock! We found hair on the floor,no space to move around and dirty doors and skirting boards.Changing of towels was happening every day and we needed to ask for bedding to be changed. It seems the room attendant was only dropping off and collecting the dirty towels.Moving to the pool area,I can say it was satisfaying .Well it did say in the hotel description that there is a kids club. You can see animators walking around and looking so bored of doing nothing for the kids.Just at 8pm for example each evening there was a kids disco with the same songs playing from the previous evening. The staff lacked any enthusiasm whatsoever as alleged entertainers go and you could see it wasnt done from the heart but to tick a box. To be honest the place is so filthy and neglected that I wouldnt lodge a dog there let alone a human. There were no protective measures in the pool area and none of the loungers were spread with anti- bac. I think the alleged 'lifeguard' could make more use of his endless time and take his time to do this action. Instead he tries to clean the swimming pool but it remains filthy and cold. I dont know who graded this hotel as 3 star but they seriously need to benchmark their poor standards against decent hotels on the strip like the Hotel Slavuna. Customer service is clearly non existent in this hotel at all and is a joke.…
This was my favorite hotel in Albena, so maybe that is why it hurts so much. I could not wait to come back, it was our 5th time, but I was so disappointed this time. Maybe it's the Corona virus to blame, I don't know. Good: The receptionist was OK, she gave us our bracelets as we arrived at 14.00. The room was on the 8th floor, sea view, clean, but the really small type. The pool is warm and clean, it was hard to find a seat near the pool or in the front rows by the sea. Bad: The food was a failure this year, 4 types of meals, almost the same at the dinner as it was at lunch. At the breakfast ham, cheese, salami all looked like taken out of the fridge the day before...melting, sweating. The snack bar also had the melted ice cream and some plums...and that was all you could eat before dinner. If we arrived later, all the tables were dirty, without tablecloth. Parking costs 10 leva/day, but it is really hard to find a spot.…
Wonderful food, excellent service, extremely clean sea water, nice and friendly personnel. Highly recommend this hotel for family stay! Unfortunatelly hotel staff cannot overcome the primitive nature of the tourists coming from certain countries - people who are ready to fight for a piece of cake, always hungry and agressive, shouting all the time no matter if your on the beach, at the restaurant or just trying to take the elevator. The same behaviour observed when we were in Greece, on the Black sea or whenever you meet those people...
We have been to this hotel 4 times already and we still love it. This time we had an apartment, because all the doubles were taken. It was clean, big, two rooms, two bathrooms and two balconies with an amazing view from the 10th floor. Food is pretty good, delicious, many choices. The pool is great, cleaner than other times. Free sunbeds, umbrella, only the parking is a bit too much. I recommend this hotel in Albena.
I gave 3 star only for the location witch is very nice and the blue flag beach is super. The food was not very diversified, in exchange we found fresh grilled fish in 6 of 9 days. The room was small, barely have space with armchair extended and the big probleme was on the beach with "beach manager" who reserve surcharge sunbeds for other people than hotel guests.
