Best value for money as quarantine package, thanks Ms.Surani from Srilanka travels for this hassle free arrangement.From airport to hotel Fernando was our van driver from Aitkin Spence Travel, hes very professional and fluent English.
Salute to the Super Man Danush who was wearing PPE alone at 3 o clock early morning taking care of all our big luggages disinfecting and transporting to our spacious room. He gave brief orientation about the hotel and was also there when we checked out.Mihirangga from reception was very helpful he assist me on how I could be able to get charger for my sons gadget
.Delicious foods and has variety of menu choices of local and international cuisine. My kids were picky and special thanks to all kitchen team who catered to our special request and always flexible..Special thanks to Upul,Sinduru and the rest of the room service and restaurant team you did excellent service.
Sangka and the other lifeguard/pool attendant were very proactive and always there Pool is very clean and well maintained. We cannot forget the charming smiling gardener whos always giving us attention while Im having my first cup of tea every morning. All the security guards at the beachfront were always there and we felt secured. All Housekeeping staff were always available to replenish our amenities and our room was always cleaned and refreshed properly.
.it was a memorable stay and definitely would be back at this property again.
Keep it up and we are all grateful.

We visited the Taprobana from end of December till January 11th 2022. It was an awesome stay, thank you very much!
The rooms are very big and clean, perfect job from the room guys. The bed is really big and very comfortable. We had a deluxe double room at the 3rd floor with a great view over the garden and the sea.
The pool is also really nice and clean, about 30 degree. The poolboy Madusanka did a great job, thank you so much. Its no problem to get a beach chair, because the hotel has just 27 rooms. We really enjoyed the big garden of the hotel with lots of palms and a very quiet atmosphere. As usual in Sri lanka, the beach chairs are not located at the beach, but in the garden.
The beach is really nice, some big waves, but in january no problem to swim and enjoy the beach. One problem of Sri Lanka is the garbage all over the beaches. It was the same here, but left and right of the hotels beach. The water with 29 degree is perfect to swim.
The food in the hotel is really good, perfect job from the cook. Sometimes lunch and dinner are served ala carte, sometimes as buffet. Really originally sri lankan food and in addition great european dishes. If you have special wishes do not hesitate to ask for it. Our favourite waiter was Upul, who did a great job, thank you so much! All inclusive contains cocktails, mocktails and beer, wine is not included, you can charge nice wines for 25-40 dollars.
If wine is not available you can bring your own bottles, that was really kind.
The hotel is located in Wadduwa. With a car or TukTuk you can start small trips to Panadura or Kalutara, takes just 15-10 minutes.
After 2 years without tourists some things are not recorded like it was before, but everybody is engaged. We really enjoyed our two weeks, thank you so much and all the best for the whole team!

We went on a Sunday and the hotel was relatively not crowded. They offered day package 2950LKR pp, but since we had 3 kids below 5, asked to pay another 2950 LKR (for all 3 of them). We opted for ala carte instead of buffet. We had a chicken soup, spagetti alfredo, and a mix grill which had good portions, delicious and child-friendly! Pool attending was not seen, so couldn't get towels!
The pool was clean, and baby pool was inside the pool which is convenient. The surroundings are clean n well-kept. It's close to the beach, more or less a public beach.

We stayed here for one night and had a really great time The hotel is beautiful and the food was 5 star! We miss the food now that we are gone. The pool is very large and clean and with the greenery around it it's really fun and relaxing to have a swim there. There's lots of wildlife around like monitors, parrots and cattle egrets which you can watch while spending your time here. Beautiful ponds and flower arrangements as well. The rooms were very clean and cozy. There was a bathtub on the balcony and the hotel provided really pleasantly smelling products for the guests to use, such as soaps and cremes. The team was very friendly and professional and we greatly enjoyed our stay here!

The staff had paid poor attention to the booking details and check-in was a mess. The room floor had not been cleaned well when we check in. The room ambiance is not nice at all and it looks less than an average room compared to other same-level hotels. They did not inform us that they do not have a lunch buffet until we go down at 1.30 pm to the restaurant. We had to stay more time to get the food and the food was also not good

We booked 3 Deluxe Allure rooms for 6 adults on full board basis and we were not happy about the service provided. All 3 meals were very basic especially lunch did not have variety at all. The biggest disappointment was that the rooms didn’t even have electric kettle or tea/coffee/making facility which is a very basic requirement. The water bottles provided were old and things were floating inside the water. On the plus side the pool was really good and clean and they provided us early check-in.

We stayed in the weekend and it was okay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There have give us free upgrade to suit which was not expected. Food was good and two meals were served in buffet and lunch was a set menu. Swimming pool was also well maintained. Overall food and staff was good.
Hotel was not maintained well, so many rectification to be done. Some iron bars were corroded and not safe. In our suit safety box was not working, balconies were not maintained well. Entrance area garden was not maintained well. Even in the reception area was not properly maintained.
If they maintain hotel, rooms and the entrance area garden it will be a good place to spend your beach holidays.

I requested for an intimate dining set up to celebrate my partner's birthday. Gihan and his team had arranged a private, quiet place in the garden, right next to the beach, away from the crowd where we literally dined under the stars with the soothing sound of the waves. The set up was very romantic with flowers and candles on the table along with fire towers to light up the place.
The four course meal was delicious and very filling. Food was presented well, up to the standards of fine dining. Friendly staff made sure to prioritize our comfort and provided great hospitality. They also cared to serve a complimentary cake.
Overall, a wonderful experience well worth the money. Thank you, Gihan and team!

The staff were friendly but with limited, sometimes no, English. There were no amenities except a pool. And I mean none, not even a pack of cards. There were no waiting staff in the garden/pool area though this was as mentioned the only place to be in a quarantine hotel. On top of that, despite the fact the Government had changed the requirement to one test on arrival for vaccinated persons and having to stay for only one night, they made us do a second test and had us stay for 7 nights. I get we had booked that but they acted like we were never free to leave and they had us in a quarantine space for 6 additional days at cost. It felt duplicitous after we discovered the reality of the law change. It was a 7 day prison by the pool which we needn't have done. I get times are tough in the tourist industry but keeping people unnecessarily amongst people in quarantine makes no sense at all. Food was tasty but very limited choice. This might be a tired 4 star hotel but is never a 5 star hotel in a month of Sundays. I love Sri Lanka and this could have been a much better stay but it wasn't much but four walls, a pool and regular food.
The beach by the way is littered, but not too badly and the sea in April is extremely rough. You wouldn't want to swim here.
Above room 46 on the roof is an aircon unit with a faulty compressor which bangs loudly every 6 to 8 seconds 24 hours a day, and I mean loudly. They switched the unit off after I complained which I appreciated but you'd need to tel them.
The balcony baths look romantic but in truth they were pretty dirty.

Compared to the first Asia Leisure Hotel (The Habitat) it is just number 2. The Reception Staff was very friendly, the rooms are similar to the Habitat also all with Seaview. The Swimmingpool is a few meters more away and after this is the garden with the Sun Chairs. It seems long time ago there was a bar with a Pizza oven and unfortunately it is not rebuild. The Bar is used for the Security and the Poolboy only. When you would like to drink something you need to walk to the Restaurant or wait until one of the Guys is passing bye. there are a lot of umbrella stands but only 2-3 broken umbrellas. this does not look very nice and need to be changed. The public beach is very dirty - there is a lot of rubbish if you want a quiet and calm location you are on the wrong place. Next to the Hotel is the Fisherman Villa, they are celebrating weddings and birthdays with very loud music also at night. In the Hotels there are also many celebrations (Birthdays etc) and a lot of people are there during the day The Restaurant was very nice with good Food but unfortunately you could not sit outside, so you also have to leave the table when you go for a cigarette In total it was very nice, but i prefer a more calm location :-)
