This is a perfect romantic hideaway located within one-hour distance from the city of Colombo. We went to this place on 26th December.
Booking was quite easy and Thilini was quite supportive throughout the process. We opted for FB from Dinner to Lunch. Check-in was smooth as you expect and was clearly following the health guidelines.
It was a fabulous stay and something we really needed. The stay was made unforgettable by the service offered by Kasun. He tried his level best to accommodate our requests.
We opted for an ocean villa which accommodated with a plunge pool and a jacuzzi as well. The bedroom is located on the upper floor of the villa with a nice view of the ocean. Everything was working perfectly and the bathroom was gigantic compared to what you see in regular hotels in Sri Lanka.
Dinner was served on the garden under the stars in front of the main restaurant and a band was also playing to make the overall experience mesmerizing. We requested to serve the breakfast to the plunge pool and Kasun was quite supportive to do that. Both of us loved it. Again lunch was arranged in the garden near the sea. In terms of food, it was overall good.
Personally, I loved the entire experience and would love to visit again. If you are looking for a romantic getaway, this is your location.

Myself and my husband stayed at the serene pavilion for 2 days in a ocean villa. It was really one of the best hotels in Sri Lanka. The food was amazing. Everyone working their was just so friendly and very pleasing. Our butler prabath was just so helpful and very pleasant he made our stay so easy . not forgetting the F&B manager really professional and very helpful as well The front office manager Thilini such a sweet heart. The rooms were so huge and very clean. The ala carte Menu was really reasonable You don’t have to visit Bali for breakfast in the pool They provide breakfast in the pool as well so that’s a plus point And because the place was so good I bought down my parents the next day for one night stay as well and so happy they enjoyed it as much as we did I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would definitely visit again.

I went to Serene Pavilions for my honeymoon and it is a wonderful place. I am glad that we selected this place as we had the most relaxing and amazing time. My husband and I loved our time spent there. The place is super clean, calm environment and very peaceful. The staff were very friendly. Special Thanks to Pradeep, Thilini, Thilina, Dilesh and Priyantha they were very helpful and kind. The food was really good and the quantities were huge. We constantly had to ask them to reduce the portion of food and we omitted the salads/soups/deserts and only stuck to the mains as it was very filling. I mostly enjoyed the English breakfast menu. We would definitely recommend this place and visit again. This place is perfect for honeymooners and couples. We felt more like home but in a luxurious and a pampered way As for constructive criticism, I would say that it would be great if more options were given for the deserts. Also as a suggestion it would be good if the hotel can provide the butler with a tab/notebook to take down notes and request from the guests. As we found that they constantly miss what we say and get it right the second time around.

Celebrated my Dad's Birthday over 2 days at Serene Pavelions.The location was perfect as you felt you were in a bungalow by yourself. We hardly ran into any other guests though they had a full house.
The villas were in great condition and the personal pools were clean and well designed. The rooms were so spacious and tastfully decorated.
As we had some meal preferences, the head of F and B Pradeep, actually took time to take us through options and customized everything which made mealtimes a treat.
We actually took all our meals at the villas and the main celebration was laid out for us in the garden overlooking the sea with garden lighting.
Boohmika our person butler was like Genie appearing within a couple of minutes with a solution for everything.
Well done Serene Pavelions. Definitely coming back!

We stayed in a Garden Pavilion with a large living/dining area, bedroom, large bathroom with a Jacuzzi and a private swimming pool in the garden. Hotel staff was really helpful and they customized meals according to our requirements. Meals were served to our own dining area at our preferred times. Main pool and other common places were clean and well maintained. Early check-in and late check-out also provided for us without additional charges. It was a great personalized experience and happy to be there again.

The villa was in sublime condition, the ambiance from the lighting, furniture and the layout of the villa was truly magical.
The private pool was a great blessing...open grass garden provided ample space for a walk..the beach area was relaxing and clean..
Food was top class and menu based with options to choose..we had all our meals at the villa...our butler "Harsha" was our hero..his level of service was truly remarkable , his attitude and attention to detail was spot on. A special Thank you goes out to him.
No need to worry of Covid. All hotel staff wore masks all the time and all meals were covered with food wrapping from kitchen to villa.
Our stay at Serene Pavillion was truly a memorable 6..we will definitely return..

We stayed 3 nights at Serene Pavilion’s “Ananda” ocen villa. It was a perfect stay… The room and the washroom were clean and tidy, and the entire vibe of the place felt serene and cozy… We had a butler assigned for our villa, he was very friendly and he did a great job.
Our villa had a private pool with an ocean view and a jacuzzi. The entire villa was so spacious and homy…
The food was delicious and filling and they had multiple varieties of food choices for each day,

Fantastic environment and spacious place to spend the quality time with the family. private pool is awesome. Staff are very friendly. "Kasun" did his best to feel us home always by helping out with everything. Garden dinner was a unforgettable experience. He made an arrangement which was a surprise to all of us. Pool staff were always kept their attention on my children so I could enjoy freely. Areas to improve.. They have a beautiful fish pond at the entrance of the villa. My children liked to feed them but hotel could not provide any. Master bedroom must carry a TV. Overall experience is unforgettable. fabulous location to anyone even during this pandemic time as they follow the health guidelines.

If you want a villa all to yourself and don't want to travel too far (from Colombo) this is the ideal place.
We stayed at an Ocean Pavilion which was very spacious and was very close to the beach. The villa itself was well maintained and there weren't any noticeable issues. There is a hot tub in the bathroom(upstairs) and a pool facing the ocean(downstairs)
The food was overall very good but the appetizers and dessert could use some improvement. Had no complaints about the mains and soup. You have the option of having the food either in the villa or at the restaurant.
In terms of service, we thought we were in for a bad stay when the check-in got delayed by more than an hour but we were able to put that behind us thanks to the great service by the hotel staff mainly our butler Harsha. He was very responsive to our requests and had a good attitude. Note that when we were checking in, the property was fully booked and that would've contributed to the delay.
In terms of things to do, the beach is your main option. The beach right in front of the property is maintained by the staff and is relatively clean. However, the surrounding beach isn't the best. In addition, there is a games room with a few board games and darts which can keep you entertained for a couple of hours. The spa was closed due to COVID 19 restrictions when we stayed.
Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing experience without the need to travel far.

Serene Pavilions is a very good and spacious boutique hotel right at The beach 🏖. It is well planned hotel with suits which are very spacious and luxurious, plunge pool and jacuzzi was very important in this COVID era to enjoy with social distancing. Boomika was very help full during our two night stay with arranging all meals in room dining and providing all the needs we requested , he was professional. Food were good.
