First together with my wife we have to thank Ashan a real professional champion (front desk) who take great care of us and customers, then we have delighted by the service and the location on the beach. The chef Udaya is a Gem and he has a great background and experience and you can taste every day with his team the fantastic cuisine (local and international as he master also italian and thai + chinese refined cuisine) Desserts are delicious, prensentation of all meals at the top. I recommend full board, as the waiters like Nipoon and his colleagues, Ageet are ver professional and very friendly. the rooms are very big and the pool super nice. The facilities are very well mantained and covid 19 safe. They manage very well and made 3 PCR tests to be there 10 days, Cleaning is great and they make it very flexible. THis hotel is small and not for mass tourism, is selected tourist who want enjoy a wonderfull vacation. The managers are great and "Lucky" also (it his name !)
we recommend the fantastic seafood with giant shrimps and laggoon lobsters our fav but not only, the meat (beef etc..) is super nice ! we will come back and our small son enjoyed a lot as well. The sri lankan cuisine there is delicious and the Chef Udaya master highly all kind of specialities even the penne alla bolognese (so delicious)

I stayed at Ayana Sea with my family for 5 nights in December 2021. It’s a cute resort with 16 rooms and the private beach is less than a minute’s walk. They are certified a safe property which was a huge consideration for us while choosing the place, since we were traveling with our our 2 year old. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable (we were in a garden facing one with a plunge pool). Staff is excellent - thank you to Ajit and others for catering to all our needs and always with a smile! The highlight of our stay was the food. We chose a package that included breakfast and dinner, and every dinner was a fine-dining 5 course meal! For Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, there were special dinners by the beach and on the lawn, and those were even more elaborate! For my daughter, the chef was kind enough to make special meals outside of the kids’ menu and also created off menu dishes for my husband who is a vegetarian. Thank you to Chef Udaya and his team for the amazing culinary experience! All in all, this is an excellent choice if you are looking for quiet time away from the hustle bustle of Colombo or any of the other popular beach locations like Bentota. Would definitely want to go back!

Ayana Sea was well located as our final stop before heading to the airport to leave the beautiful Sri Lanka. The staff there are so helpful and really keen to ensure you enjoy your stay! I was lucky enough use the Spa which was extremely reasonably priced yet offered a very experienced masseuse. The hotel restaurant has by far the best chef we experienced on the island. Due to previous reviews and the hotel ratings we expected good food, but we were still completely blown away. We would definitely stay at Ayana Sea again.

The hospitality and the the food was amazing. We were concerned about the health guidelines and wanted all the food brought to the room and the staff was very cooperative and went out of their way. The Chef needs to be given special thanks as the taste was simply perfect 👏. We recommend the private villa with the pool for the best experience.

We stayed at one of the Premier Ocean View Villa rooms from 16-17 Dec 22. Words cannot explain how incredible Ayana sea hotel is. The amenities are very modern, the staff were very friendly, our room was absolutely spotless, the food was very delicious. We loved every minute of our stay and wish we would have booked another night. We will definitely come back next time when we come to SL. Especially we would like to mention Padmini’s Spa treatment was fantastic, I had swollen feet coming from cold weather to warm weather but Padmini’s foot massage did the trick. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming (sorry I’ve missed the names but it was the two lads who were working on the 16th-17th Dec), the restaurant staff (Mr. Ekanayake, Ajith, Sisira ) were very pleasant, the service was very smooth and we could tell they are genuinely happy to work at the hotel not thinking it’s their job which makes their service a gold standard one. They made our floating breakfast experience a memorable one. The breakfast was plated very neatly and the portions were very filling.
By and large this is our best hotel experience! Keep up the good standards. Thank you!

The staff was professional and well coordinated. Excellent service. The villa is private, clean and comfortable.

We wanted to have our meals in our room. The staff suggested and arranged a table just outside the room next to the plunge pool. It was way better. It was lovely to have our meals there with the sea breeze and it kept the room free of food smells.

Food has to be the highlight of our stay. Very tasty, and the presentation is super.

We liked the hotel, the room is spacious and tidy. The hotel staff would be helpful, but maybe a little tense, would like more smiles. Everybody very serious. :) The food in the restaurant is very tasty and varied, the A’la Carte menu has everything you could want, both European and traditional local, Asian kitcehn.

The area is tidy, very well maintained, in my opinion, there is really no need to clean it inside on a daily basis, it is better to spend that time collecting rubbish behind the fence at the beach.

We spent a great time in Sri Lanka!

Staff were very friendly and professional. All of our requests were handled with care and a smile always. Specially, I would like to appreciate Chamali’s assistance from the reservation process to extending the late checkout time even at the last moment.

Their warm welcome, fast check-in process and immediate welcome drink which was warm koththamalli in a coconut shell surprised us. We were delighted by the first impression itself.

I loved their ambience which was very calm and quiet full of greenery and few mins walk to the beach.

Room was very spacious and cozy. We got a room attached to a plunge pool which was very clean and tidy. I just felt like it’s another home.

I would also like to highlight their food. The preparation method, taste, presentation and even the usage of their crockery and cutlery brands showcased the maintenance of their brand image.

In addition, I highly recommend this place in terms of security since we met the security at the main entrance and also at the beach entrance when were loitering around. Even at night, we noticed the security guards were going around the hotel which made us so comfortable to stay in and secured since privacy and security was one of our major concerns.

Once again, our heartiest thanks to the whole team for making our stay one of the memorable one!

Sangeeth and his team was excellent. They always gave good tips on the menu, ensured the meals were on time and nothing was too much for them . The food too was very good
We loved the sea view rooms with the plunge pool. The room and toilet was so well designed and spacious.
Ajith was also lovely from the time we checked in taking care of our bags, cleaning our plunge pool to adding more chairs to our sit out as other family members joined our terrace outside chat.
Overall it’s a lovely place , close to Colombo perfect for that quick get away !

I can not express in words how lucky I felt on my wedding day that I selected Ayan Sea! Staff did a marvellous job for my out door wedding. I am forever grateful for the hotel management and staff for everything they did!!!

Me and my husband then had a stay in the hotel for one day. We were so busy in Australia before the wedding and stay was so relaxing. I wished if I had another day at Ayana Sea. Rooms were excellent and we stayed at Premier Pool Villa which was spacious enough and provided privacy for great relaxation. Place itself is really calming with the sound of beach. Waking up to the morning sunshine by the beach with sound of waves to accompany it was a simple but great relaxation. When you are here, take a deep breath and exhale all you'r worries ! you are at right place for you'r holiday you waited for...

Food from the Ayana Sea is one of the best meals I have ever had. Chef and the staff is super talented and innovative. You have good variety of meals including Authentic Sri Lankan, Western, Indian and etc. We really enjoyed the food during our stay and our guest to the wedding also expressed that they enjoyed the food from hotel so much.

If you are looking for super friendly and great place to stay while you are in down south of tiny pearl of Indian Ocean , It's definitely Ayana Sea ! You are cared and treated like you are home.
