This is an excellent place; comfortable and welcoming, set in lovely surroundings. The bungalows are large and very comfortable, the hosts are excellent and cook all the meals themselves. There is a lovely pool, and a river runs through the site; you can borrow canoes if you want, and bicycles too. We loved it, and would definitely recommend it.

We stayed here at the end of an organised 2 week tour of Sri Lanka. The hosts originally from Belgium were very welcoming. Dinner (Sri Lankan curry) is from a fixed menu (while we were there it was 1800 rupees incl 3 courses and tea/coffee) and is excellent, but unfortunately has limited options for veggies. The European breakfast was equally...

We started our 3 weeks in Sri Lanka with a 3 night stay at Ging Oya. It was close to the Negombo area, yet quiet with great habitat for birds. We enjoyed using the canoe or kayaks and the pool. The neighborhood was interesting for walking. The grounds were beautiful with clever art all around. We had all of our...

A beautiful place with western luxery. The owners are making your stay worthwhile. They cook the meals and these are delicious! Rooms are comfortable and the decoration is fantastic. Nice swimmingpool, small boats and a map for a nice strawl in the environment. You can also take the bicycle.

This is a wonderful family run property where guests can relax and soak in the laid back atmosphere by the river. Comfortably appointed individual rooms with en suite open air showers are arranged along meandering paths that are filled with whimsical statues and carvings. There are canoes, bicycles and a lovely pool. Yoga and massages can also be arranged ....

This place is awesome, and great value. I totally recommend it! It is run by a very friendly couple that take great care about the place to create a perfect blend between a personalised and a standard luxurious resort where everything works perfectly fine. I visited the place with my family, when we stayed three nights in lovely bungalow styled...

This is my third stay in Ging Oya Lodge and as previously it did not disappoint. I stayed with various members of my family, some of whom had not been to Sri Lanka before and it seems the perfect way to start the holiday by relaxing after a long flight before going on a sightseeing tour. Beautiful environment, things to...

This lodge is one of the most relaxing places I have ever been. We have spent the last 3 nigths of our trip in this paradise. You have your own big bungalow with a veranda and a bathroom which is unique. The lodge is surrounded by mangroves (private area of the lodge) and a river. It is possible to rent...

It would have been the obvious choice after my arrival in Sri Lanka to start my adventure at one of the many beaches but somehow I felt I wanted to start my trip in a much more special way. After some research I found Ging Oya lodge, on the banks of the Ging River. Located on a 6 acre plot...
