We found this place by accident and what a great discovery ! Beautiful rooms and grounds, a stunning dinner area and bar and an amazing manager (Ana) and very friendly and helpfull staff. I would highly recommed this place if you gone visit Ibo Island
Mwani House offers a one-of-a-kind experience on Ibo island. Mixing an exquisitely renovated communal area with comfortable ocean-facing rooms, the lodge brings together the best of Ibo – its beautiful landscape with its enchanting people. The lodge’s staff are polite, readily available and always available to tell you a bit more of the fascinating history of the island and the archipelago. The manager creates a cozy environment of friendship, with high professional standards, and ever-resent availability to solve all your needs – including organizing excursions, arranging logistics and whatever one may need. Making good use of local products, and with an innovative ever-changing menu, the food is a treat. A welcoming, charming place for unforgettable experience in the Quirimbas Archipelago.…
With only 6 months running, this super cool, chic and stylish hotel at ibo island will be for sure on top list of Africa best small hotels. Ana the galician manager cannot be better host and her cookes are amazing. Amazing staff , always smiling and ready to help you Top of the tops the profits go to ibo foundation
Mwani House is not only less expensive than the adjacent overpriced Ibo Island Lodge, it is newer, directly on the shoreline and has rooms and patios open to the sea breezes. Spanish run, staff are helpful and the lodge is run with quiet efficiency. Pleasant terrace bar-restaurant overlooking the beach and mangroves, but the food is not as good as at the nearby Cinco Portas, a more basic hotel but with a renowned Swedish chef.
The attention to detail, the most helpfull host in the world - Ana -, the architecture in total comunion with nature that's what you'll find at Mwani house. Enjoy all the suggestion of your host and if you can come by plane
