We stayed in the Pioneer Cabin for 2 nights. The cabin is nestled back in the trees, so it was out of the sun and wind. Prior to our arrival, the AC was turned on and the ceiling fan running. The outside temperature for the day was 102 degrees. There was a dorm size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and a... More

the owners need to learn to talk directly to people if something is bothering them. Don't involve others. Judged, juried and sentenced without even knowing anything wrong had been done. Suddenly I didn't like this place of beauty so much and just wanted to go home.

We took this trip because of the recommendation of a friend of ours, so we had an idea of what to expect. I knew I did not want the experience of an outdoor toilet (been there, done that!) so we rented one of the modern cabins and we were not disappointed. It was very cozy (small, but adequate). BRING FOOD,... More

Had a great time here it was so peaceful and scenic. It is designed with the natural contour and nature of the land also old western accommodations. Very nice family that operates the campground and if you like the outdoors and very rustic cowboy, cowgirl living it is at the top of my list. We had the best time trail... More

I have slightly mixed feelings about our stay here. The good: The people were nice and we changed our plan slightly and they were helpful and accommodating and didn't charge us for the night affected. The cabin was nice in a quaint, "way better than a tent, I don't want a castle anyhow" kind of way.. Our cabin had a... More

We had a great time. The trail ride was great, and the horses were well trained and cared for. There was a storm the night we arrived, but we weathered it well in the 'Pioneer' log cabin. The cabin slept my family of six comfortably. My only gripe was the outhouse -- which brought tears to my eyes (literally). I... More

This was a disappointing experience, and the hospitality industry may not be the right place for the people running this operation. We stayed in the Trapper cabin, built in 1992. There are sleeping platforms big enough to handle four people. One platform is about 3 feet wide and 14 feet long. The other platform is about 2 and ½ feet... More

I am not one to send letters of praise or comment cards back, but I could not let so memorable an event pass. My husband and I joined friends to vacation at Little Missouri State Park near Killdeer, North Dakota. We were able to rent a cabin and horses from Tom and Twila at Badlands Trailrides and Eastview Campgrounds. The... More
