This is a very average two store hotel, with old rooms and furniture. Breakfast is included, but it is very simple (you will get scrambled eggs and sausages, coffee, juice, yogurt and bread). On a good side - the hotel has a very nice pool. I spent there one night during my business trip, and for one night this hotel is OK.

It’s an old pretty run down Ramada that is geared to overnight travelers and families that want to enjoy the pool. Wyndham must not care about condition or overalls for this one.…The room rate is attractive for a Sat night when multiple Sioux sports are in town. $128. Pet friendly and the beds are very good.

The staff was very friendly. Our room had a NASTY smoky smell. Not cigarette smoke, but either vape or burning. Strongest at the door. This property has a very ODD layout, but in the spirit of "you get what you pay for", it is fine. The breakfast was good, and the pool and hot tub were nice.
The parking lot is really torn up, and the stairs and hallways could use a makeover. It's very run down.
Also, the rooms are NOISY!!! Very thin windows providing little protection from the highway outside.

Unpleasant customer service. Mold and mildew in the washroom, bathroom tiles. Dusty surface areas. Rusty window.
We checked in at 3pm. Internet was not working. Came back at 10pm, receptionist blabbed on for ten minutes stating we owed an extra $25 CAN more because they’ve given us a more expensive room - due to their internet being down.
How is it fair or our fault because their internet was down that we have to pay extra for our room? Also, we did not receive a phone call to state our new room would be more expensive or get notified to possibly switch rooms to what we originally booked it for.
Also, was given excuses as to why management was not available at the time.

The rooms were well kept and the mounted televisions were large and clear. The pillows were just perfect and the bedding fresh. The bar was an added treat having to only ask for a drink once and then being served by the bartender Tim before my drink was even empty. Loved his attention to detail and his friendly demeaner. There was a small issue with needing to change my rate to a truck drivers one but the manager Rebecca was there to help smoothe out the confusion and while she was helping me I saw her handle an unhappy guest that although rude and unforgiving the manager smiled through out the interaction and ultimately had the femurs feeling she had been understood and her needs met. I would definitely recommend staying here to friends and family.

Honest feedback - The rate we paid for one night was $336. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. This hotel should be an embarrassment to the Wyndham and Ramada brands! The first room they put us in had no door lock. The night security latch was totally missing, and the lock did not align so would not work. We were moved to a second room. The door locked, but the AC did not work. The third room had working AC and a door that locked, but there were large water stains on the ceiling and the TV did not work. Others in our group also said the TV in their room did not work. The “courtesy” driver for the hotel dropped us at the Alerus Center and charged us $10 per person for a round trip for the 1.5 mile trip. That would have been okay, but he demanded payment for round trip when he dropped us off, and he did not come back to pick us up. We called for a ride, he said a couple were ahead of us, but he never showed up. His name is Dennis. He said he didn’t work for the hotel, but the people at the front desk said he did. Staff in the lounge were rude.

My two friends and I were very impressed with this hotel, I would not only revisit it but recommend it to my friends and family and now you. Just the fact that I'm actually taking the time to sit down and write a review, says this is a very good find and the price is right. The hotel was very clean, the staff were very personable and helpful. The first room we were in had a load sound coming from the heater even it reached a certain temperature, and when I bought it up to the front desk, I was immediately offered another room, pool side, which was an upgrade at no additional. The breakfast was very good and plentiful, with the eating area being extremely clean. There is a gas fireplace with chairs as you enter the lobby, which are not only welcoming but comfy too. Overall I would rate this the best stay ever and I've stayed in many other hotels throughout Grand Forks. Thank you everyone at the Ramada Inn for making our trip fun and memorable. We will definately be returning.

Gut the rooms. Keep the pool and lobby. Totally gut the rooms and start over.
First room I went to smelled like Marijuana. The front desk person went in and said it didn't smell. I asked for a refund. Instead, they put me in a different room. Fine.
Mold and mildew everywhere with tub and sink that don't drain. Shower leaking into the wall and getting carpet wet. What happens when carpet gets wet and you don't bother to fix it? Mold.
Gross black stain on the curtain. I don't want to know what that is!
Again, gut the hotel and try again. Woke up stuffed up and coughing. Gee. I wonder why? I'm sure this hotel was nice in 1990, but you have to do upgrades! Disgusting hotel!
Also...housekeeping comes in without knocking and while you haven't even checked out yet!

We were quoted at 85 a night when we made the reservation got to hotel and they tried to charge us 103, which went pending in our account then has to wait 2 days to get the money back. That was our money to get home. Manager was not helpful neither was resvaction people or customer care. The hotel bathroom in lobby smelled horrible, ceiling tiles were missing, room ac was missing a vent and we could smell anything from outside, beds were not comfortable as well. Pool closed at 11 but someone was in it til 1 am I beleife it was a manager or something

Upon arrival, I found that they placed me in a queen room despite booking a king room. The front desk refused to rectify the situation, stating that they had been "overbooked by corporate." They notified me that the manager would be in the following day and I could speak to them. Upon getting settled into our wrongly appointed room, we were met with a filthy bathroom complete with a toothpaste-spit stains on the wall and mirrors, what I can only presume was fecal matter on the wall near a toilet paper dispenser, and hair in the shower. There were other smudges and stains on walls near the beds, but thankfully it appears that the bed linens were fresh. The next morning I found that the sink leaked whenever water was ran into it, and that the shower didn't drain well, to the point where I thought I had inadvertently left the drain plugged. That was not the case, and after as quick of a shower as I could manage, I was wading mid calf deep. Management was able to move me to a king room the next day, as I should have been in all along, and the new room was cleaned to an acceptable standard, though it should be noted that I had already voiced concerns regarding the filthy state of the room. No attempts at rectifying the situation were made, aside from a verbal apology that the room wasn't up to my standards. I left disgusted, and will never return again.

WE are not in any violations of the Disability Act due to the fact that we were built in 1973 and at that time we were not obligated to put in an elevator. We do everything we can to accommodate our guests and that includes getting them on ground floor if they so request.
