My wife and I spent the weekend at the Hotel Donaldson in April to celebrate our 40ths. The place was amazing. The location is perfect ... easy walk to all of the fun spots in downtown Fargo. The staff outperformed even the loftiest of expectations. They were all so friendly and knowledgeable .. Jesse welcomed us and taught us about...

I really enjoyed my stay at HoDo. Staff was attentive and friendly, and the room was clean and bright! The art was lovely. Room service was a nice indulgence that I rarely utilize while staying in hotels. I like that it is downtown Fargo and close to the Sanford hospital, but be prepared for "city sounds": garbage truck in the...

We've stayed here many times because it is so unique, so comfortable, with very good dining nearby - including the HoDo Restaurant and lounge. Though no longer 'new', it's contemporary and clean, and interesting local art abounds.

...indeed only good hotel, it may not fulfill the promise of most passers-by but then why else would one be in Fargo other than to pass by? It is a well-run, funky, hip and rather charming boutique hotel. It works on the premise that you too are funky, hip and rather charming. Well designed and decorated rooms in an old...

It has a nice air to it as each room is decorated by a local artist and the service is friendly. It's in the heart of downtown so it's great to walk everywhere. They did have a cute happy hour with beer/wine/snacks for guests. Everything was clean and spacious. We did have a noise issue (some unexpected partiers next door)...

HoDo is an absolute gem. You feel it from the minute you walk in. Staff are friendly and genuine. Our suite was spacious and inviting. Each suite features the art of a regional artist. Nice touch. Roof top hot tub and deck area is nice even with a chill in the air. Its beyond clear that customer care and comfort...

Stayed here for 1 night, on Thanksgiving evening. The hotel looks good, is on the corner of the block right in downtown. It is funky and modern but still has a nice traditional look and feel. Think contemporary art on a bare brick wall. I was in room 13 which was a good size, with a sofa, TV, big bed...

My husband and I stay at this hotel once a year. The hotel has a small number of rooms that are all unique. Check out local art in the rooms as well as CD's of local music they keep in each room. They offer a reception that includes cheeses, wine and beer that we never miss. If you are traveling...

What a wonderful experience in downtown Fargo. Right in the middle of the night life as well. All 17 rooms are eclectic and should be experienced. Each room, hallway, and corner has local artist work displayed. A trip down to the basement (where the weight room is) you can see the history of the building along with the snapshots of...
