We stayed here for 5 nights so we could have Christmas with my mum. The rooms are roomy with 2 heaters so you won't get cold. The beds are quite hard . The cleaner is not good as the shower screen was quite dirty with soap scum. I did mention that to the owners who said they would speak to...

Simple inn in the country side with friendly staff. Room is clean but a bit run down. Major complain is the heating in the room, hard to figure out and keep the room warm! Good location in the center of village.

The outside of the pub looks inviting hence the visit. The landlady needs to go on a customer care course. Not very friendly at all. My wife and I ordered a meal in the bar. When it arrived it was a joke. The side salad consisted of shrivelled up limp lettuce. My mussels were served cold. The landlady couldn't explain...

Stayed one night whilst hiking. Told on arrival no breakfast available as chef on holiday. No alternative arrangements were offered. Hairs in bath. Clothing receipts (not mine) in window ledge . On leaving at 8.30am door locked so couldn't discuss my concerns. Would not recommend or return

Room was booked online as room only, cafe next door where breakfast was available, customers attitude was very curt, unable to explain alleged hair in bath or receipts. As the chef who cooks breakfast was on holiday, there would be no one in the main building until 10.00am as we do not operate a 24 hour reception.

We have visited the Indian restaurant a number of times now and the food and service has been of consistently good quality. We have also had takeaway food which has been good, but somehow never quite tastes the same as the 'eat-in' menu. Would recommend going to the effort of a restaurant meal to get the full benefit of the...

This hotel is in a good location, Snaith is a lovely little village between Selby and Goole. Great places to visit for food and essentials etc. We were staying at the Downe Arms for a wedding at Carlton Towers and it was perfect for this...but don't expect too much. The rooms are simple and basic but fine. Loads of parking,...

Stayed here as visiting family and friends in the area (recently moved away). The room was small but adequate, bed was comfortable, could have done with some firmer pillows, the fan in the bathroom was very loud and stayed on for a very long time after the light its connected to went out. The bathroom could have been a bit...

I was looking for somewhere to stay between Doncaster and York. The price seemed fairly reasonable so I booked. The location is good, right in the centre of the small town, and there is ample free parking. The rooms are located in a newish purpose built block at the rear of the pub. The room was fine. For what we...
