We just completed a 3-night stay. The Inn was lovely- all brick with soaring ceilings and huge rooms. The staff was so accommodating and the outdoor venues beautiful with white lights. Breakfast was delicious and the evening cookies a special treat.

Hotel's Favorite
Very quaint historic property with unique comfortable rooms. Under Covid, management allows rooms to sit 24 hours before entering them to be cleaned after a guest checks out. Very clean. Staff and management very friendly. Near downtown and several nice restaurants. Old Salem is next door for nice walks.

The inn is a charming complex of buildings with a courtyard and a Visitors Center. Antiques everywhere and historically significant paintings. Period furniture and couches and upholstery chairs in living room areas During Covid there is no wine and cheese happy hour in the bar nor is there a hot southern breakfast served. They do have coffee and a few ‘grab & go’ items. Rooms are large, some on 2 levels with exposed brick walls, wood ceilings, faux fireplaces. Clean and comfortable. They feature a refrigerator, Keurig, free WiFi, lots of free parking. A unique experience - so glad we stayed here. Ps: Many restaurants are closed on Monday night and others are closed because they can’t hire staff.

We enjoyed our stay, and found the building's rustic charm to be appealing. Friendly service and welcoming snack area. Our room, while generally fine, was very dark. The light in the entrance to the room was insufficient, as we could barely see in the closet. The lighting in the room itself was also inadequate, as we were unable to turn on the overhead light. Finally, since we had to go up several steps in order to use the bathroom, a nightlight would have been helpful. Otherwise, a very nice building with a beautiful courtyard and great location.

I was visiting Winston-Salem for the first time with my daughter and wanted to stay somewhere other than a chain. This hotel is wonderful and the perfect place to get a feel for the town. I love their "cookies and milk" and Sally the cat...make sure you pet her; she's lovely! We so enjoyed our stay and the hospitality!!
