Staff and house cat make the place feel like home. Nice location with restaurants easy walking distance. Downtown is easy walking or drive with plenty of parking on the streets or in garages. Nice to be near the walking path that is well lite and safe.

The facility was not only quaint but sparkling clean. The staff was attentive and most helpful. We were traveling from out of state to a wedding in Winston Salem. I was intrigued having read about the inn while researching the area and elected to spend one night before continuing on. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We spent three nights just after Christmas. The property was decorated very nicely. We booked a suit and a standard room. Both were very comfortable. The hotel is in good condition, not pristine. There are areas of wear and tear but everything appears maintained and clean.

Overall, a good experience- unique hotel with interesting bi-level room layout. The room was clean and comfortable, but a few things were need of attention. There were two light bulbs that flickered/strobed- manageable. The one thing that was a little strange was the HVAC system worked around a set temp- 55 degrees outside. Above that temp, the system used AC only and below that temp was heat only. We arrived in the room and it was a chilly 65 degrees inside but only 60 degrees outside so only AC was operable. There was a space heater in the room that we tried to use, but it was not working correctly. We contacted the front desk and immediately brought a working unit which allowed us to warm the room. The morning breakfast buffet was pretty good. Service at the buffet and the front desk was excellent.
