My husband and I stayed at the Whitehead Inn for one night while we were in town visiting my brother. Our room was upgraded to a larger room and we had a bit more space. The property consists of 4 cottages and the grounds were beautiful. We met both the owners and the innkeepers, all were exceptionally kind and answered... More

I stayed for five days during the week, worked too many hours, but thoroughly loved every minute at this very charming, clean and meticulous, service oriented inn. Awesome. Personal. Wonderful. I can't rave enough about the service Mary and Jim, the owners provided.

The Whitehead Inn is a charming set of 4 houses in Old Downtown Wilson. The host was extremely pleasant, as was the ambiance of the place and the comfort of the room itself. Very clean, well kept, as were the grounds. There was also spacious parking. Breakfast was stunning, in the very comfortable dining room, with fresh cooked food and... More

The Inn Keepers are at the top of their class. The facilities are exceptional. Breakfast will 'Make Your Day' and Jim Powell has created the finest of the finest in B&B. Do NOT stay here UNLESS you demand the absolute greatest. We do and at this point we have stayed here 6 times. We would not stay anywhere else on... More

My wife and I bought a Suburban on Ebay, so flew to Florida to pick it up. We found the Whitehead Inn on the internet and stayed there on the way back. The trip coincided with our 25th wedding anniversary, so we wanted more than just a hotel room. We got the climbing rose room in the Queen Anne cottage.... More

We stayed at the Whitehead Inn while transitioning to a new job and relocating to the area. It was a very relaxing, enjoyable experience. The Innkeepers - John and Rosie Seidelmann - were very hospitable. They are very upbeat and friendly hosts. They gave us wonderful pointers for the local attractions as well as the essentials for newcomers to the... More

This little inn in Wilson, NC, is a treasure! We stopped there so we could celebrate our anniversary on the way back from a trip to see family. Located not too far off I-95, it is in a historic residential area with wonderful rooms, a nice breakfast and outstanding innkeepers, Rosie and John. We stayed in a carriage house that... More

I read all the reviews and felt that my wife and I were in for a pleasing experience. We were not disappointed. If you are looking to stay in the area you will not find a more hospitable, lovely, delightful place. Breakfast was well beyond what I expected and the"Innkeepers" went out of their way to make us feel at home.

The photographs of Jim and Mary, the innkeepers, should be in the dictionary under "gracious" and "hospitable". This refined and well-traveled couple bring an air of sophistication to this already excellent property. The welcoming wine was a nice pre-dinner treat and was enhanced with conversation with the innkeepers on the front porch of the Whitehead house. Our room in Rosebud... More

This inn was fantastic! The rooms are gorgeous and very clean. It was quiet and peaceful. Peggy and her husband were absolutely the best. The food was delicious, served on time and the dining room was truly lovely. I really can't give this inn enough compliments. We plan to go back as soon as we get some free time. If... More
