This motel was a lot better than I originally expected for a last minute stay. Located inside a nicely maintained golf community, it's a two story building overlooking the golf course. The rooms are large, the bed was very comfortable, there was a mini-kitchen with fridge, microwave, and sink adjacent to the living room. The back patio had views of the course and was very peaceful. The place reminded me of old school hotels because they took care of the rooms and maintained quality with original furniture. It's was very clean and the staff was super nice. I would definitely return.

The room was very nice with a large bedroom bathroom and separate sitting room, that overlooked the golf course and driving range. Everyone was exceptionally nice and going the extra mile to please. The golf course was very tight , great shape and played in the time allotted. The veranda grill offered a good breakfast and very good sandwiches. Over all it was a very relaxing and pleasant experience and a great value for the price charged.

We stopped at the hotel on our way from Washington DC to a wedding in Foley Beach, SC. Comfortable, spacious, clean room overlooking golf course. We were able to purchase and take to our room a good reasonably-priced bottle of wine (with wine glasses to use) from the restaurant/bar. Definitely would stay again if/when we travel to Charleston, SC.

Sadly, this hotel was the complete opposite of what we expected. We feel so misled by some of the reviews. This was not a "resort" and not worthy of $279 a night. The hotel is in very bad need of a remodel! The furniture is old, sofa and carpets were stained, the AC vents were dirty and rusted, countertops were old and chipped, doors and trim needed painting. There was no place to hang clothes because the bedroom closet was closed off and labeled “mechanical.” Worst of all there was a harsh smell that made our eyes burn and made us feel sick all night. Thankfully we were only staying one night and were up at 6 AM with doors wide open to get some fresh air. The only two positives are the front desk staff were friendly and the hotel location in the back of a neighborhood felt safe. We do not recommend this hotel.

I really wanted to like this place but the uncleanliness of the room was too much. From stains all over the couch and bedcovers, hair throughout the bathroom, dust on the intake vent an inch thick, and yellow, cracked bath mats, we felt dirty leaving there. Everything but the beds and carpet were extremely outdated. Unfortunately, it was the only hotel with rooms under $300 this weekend (we paid $199 per night…never again!).
However, staff was very nice!

We enjoyed our stay but really just went to the beach. We did not use the pool, golf, or restaurant. Our room was huge and easily accommodated 2 adults and 2 teens, though it only had full size beds. Hubs and I shared. Daughter in the other full. Son elected the sofa bed and said it was ok.

From the outside the main building, the grounds and the rooms are lovely. Great service, good food and a great pour in the bar/restaurant. The woman at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. However we were extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with our room.

1. We were in room #9, which is on the lower level and is right next to the stairway that leads to the side entrance for the bar restaurant. The door is a very heavy metal door and would slam shut every time someone used it. The BANG is enough to alarm anyone. It would continually bang shut every time someone would use it, which was quite often. We spoke to the very nice woman at the front desk about this. She was very helpful and it was fixed late that night, prior to that it was extremely annoying.

2. The window treatments are certainly subpar. The vertical blinds had one blind missing nor would they meet in the middle. No room darkening drapes. The missing blind was inline with the street light in the parking lot. The light beamed right through so if we didn’t sleep in exactly the right position the street light would glare into our eyes. In the morning the bright sunshine coming right through was also not appreciated.

3. People would gather on the stairwell landing to smoke as I’m sure they’re not permitted to smoke in the building. They’d be out there chitchatting while smoking and we could hear them in our room.

4. Finally, as I mentioned we were on the lower level. We constantly heard people walking around above us late into the evening and very early in the morning. At times it was very loud. We were planning to sleep until around 9:30 AM. Well that certainly didn’t happen! Room #9 is a lovely room with a very comfortable bed, great pillows, very nice living room and a beautiful view of the golf course but I must say considering all the things I mentioned… it was not enjoyable. I would recommend staying at the Beau Rivage, but definitely not in room #9!

We prefer the ground level rooms because entering and leaving is so easy. That is important for retirees like us. We can bring the golf cart to our car when we go out to play and return it the same way. It is wonderfully convenient.

Faculty is very clean. The staff is great. The bar and restaurant on site are good and reasonable. We don't even golf, but come here because it's cleaner than the beach motels. If you have a downstairs room, you can usually hear footsteps from above. Just a minor issue overall. It's a close enough drive to the beach, and fairly spacious rooms. Superior to the beach motels for sure.

We stayed here one night during the labor day weekend because everything else was booked, and it was fine for a night. Our room was on the ground floor, and it had a nice separate living area however the thin ceiling/floor of the room above us caused us to hear every sound coming from above which was annoying. My daughter did enjoy the pool.

The resort is actually pretty well positioned to get you to what you need for an ideal vacation...however...you need a car. Can not walk to any place...uber would be an option, but you may as well rent the car! I did not see a pool...but that does not mean there isn't one. Great spot for the kids is down by the lake. (beware of alligators) Great ice cream. Spots. Beach Access. good luck!

Yes there were chairs and in our suite the bedroom was fully separate - set up much like a small apartment
