We very much enjoyed 3 nights in early March at the Worth House B&B. The hosts were relaxed and friendly and efficient, the location close to downtown was ideal, our bedroom with a side sitting room (Rose Room) was spacious and comfortable, the informal daily happy hour was fun, and the breakfast was top-notch creative and tasty. We are in our 60s and have stayed in quite a few B&Bs over the years. We put Worth House in our top 3 of all those we've enjoyed.
My wife and I were a little concerned with the owners of C.W. Worth only having a years' experience operating a B&B. This was immediately put to rest when Jeff greeted us and provided a wonderful tour of the beautiful establishment. The renovations of the rooms, patio and gardens were so tastefully completed you would think the couple had been operating a B&B all of their lives. Jennifer's breakfasts were to die for. We had them served in the room which was a real treat. The recommended dining establishments (we tried two) were outstanding and just a short distance away..
We loved our stay at this historic B&B which has been renovated recently & beautifully decorated. Breakfasts by Jen were creative & delicious, & the jazz happy hour hosted by Jeff was a nice touch. Our room (Rose suite) was charming & very comfortable. The tranquil backyard is a bonus to spend some time in after a busy day exploring downtown, an easy walk from the B&B.
We would give Jeff and Jennifer and C. W. Worth House 10 stars if we could! Everything was perfect - from all their hospitality to the beautifully appointed rooms, the delicious breakfasts, to happy hour with wine and jazz music. We look forward to returning and enjoying the really special garden out back, as well.
If planning on a trip to Wilmington, NC…look into CW Worth B&B…wait…why not plan your trip to CW Worth B&B then, while there, check out what is going on in Wilmington. It’s that great!!! Jennifer and Jeff are magnificent hosts. They truly go out of their way to ensure the experience is top notch. Atmosphere is fantastic, accommodations are clean/comfortable and the breakfasts are stellar! Jennifer may have missed her calling as a chef. Or, nailed it by providing such wonderful morning meals to the few that are lucky enough to stay at C.W. Worth House B&B. We had a wonderful time at C.W. Worth House.
Do you want a clean, cozy, and quiet place? Do you want breakfast that makes you wonder "how did they cook that?" Do you want to be near the Riverwalk but not have to actually deal with a downtown's late night hooligans? Sounds nice right? If I could, I would live there. Seriously, go look at the photos of the place. It looks like that in person as well. You can read some other reviews to get a feel for the place. But what you should do is stop wasting your time, and go make your reservation for here already. This place is excellent, the owners are lovely, and you will have a wonderful time staying here.
The CW Worth House is a very well kept, old style house in the Historic District. With clean lines and beautiful wood floors throughout, it gave a special feel to our night there. Jeff and Jennifer we attentive and gracious hosts. Did I mention the warm welcome with wine served upon our arrival near 5pm and the scrumptious home cooked breakfast in the morning? Our stay was delightful!
This was our 3rd visit with Jeff and Jenn at CW Worth. The stay there was very enjoyable. It is the only B&B we will stay at in Wilmington. The breakfast has never disappointed. It is in a great location near the riverwalk. Jeff and Jenn are excellent host and we look forward to our next visit.
Beautiful and very comfortable place. The room was lovely and very clean. We only stayed one night but absolutely enjoyed the place. The homemade breakfast made by Jennifer was a delight made from scratch and was truly out of this world! Jeff was very sweet and helpful, and I highly recommend this place. We arrived early and he carried our luggage upstairs, gave us a tour of the house. They have created this adorable little garden in the back which you can enjoy to relax and rejuvenate. One nice touch is the Keurig machine outside the bedroom that you can use anytime you need a pick me up, and the freshly filtered water machine! Little things that make a whole big difference! 👍🏻❤️
Our stay at the CW Worth house was charming. The new innkeepers are great. Jeff went above and beyond. The close proximity to the Cape Fear riverfront is a huge perk. Highly recommend you stay at this B&B and visit historic Wilmington.
