The hotel was okay, no problems. Value was great. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Great for one or two night stay, would not recommend for longer stay. Did not feel completely safe at the hotel due to other seedy looking patrons hanging around outside...More

I stayed here on a recent trip to Wilmington for a job interview. If you aren't expecting a 5 star hotel and spa, it's definitely worth the money.
The staff was friendly and allowed me to check in early to get ready for my interview....More
A pleasant surprise, after reading the reviews for this hotel. My company booked it for me.
And the reviews put it in my mind that, drug dealers and bugs were to be my neighbors. Yet no bugs found, no drug dealers found. Staff was very,...More
Just wanted to let everyone know that we really enjoyed staying at this hotel, it was nice, clean, and our beds were made everyday. The staff was so helpful, caring, and very friendly. Breakfast area is very clean, and breakfast is very well...More
As the title says, the maids were smoking in the hallways, open air hallways I will admit, though still a lack of respect and management. As I filled up my ice bucket there were the maids just puffing away. They didn't even bother to walk...More

Considering the state of the rooms and facility in general, I would suspect a very liberal pet policy. As always when it comes to pets, it is best to contact the property directly as policy can change abruptly.

Wave Transit has bus service to most points in and around Wilmington. There is a free downtown trolley and Cape Fear Walking Tour (910-762-0492) has a wonderful tour of older homes in Wilmington, with a history, about an hour and a half. There might be hotels more convenient to your purposes of visiting Wilmington than this one. I mentioned this because I stayed there before the closing on my house and it was pretty central to what I needed to do business there (insurance, attorney, etc.). There are local taxi services and a water taxi, and the tours and walks along the Cape Fear River are very interesting. I have lived here only a few months and have not yet explored as much as I plan to when the weather is warmer. Nothing in Wilmington is very far but there are hotels closer to beaches, airport, shops. The 3 main beaches are Wrightsville, Carolina and Kure Beach which is at the southern tip of Carolina Beach. Ft. Fisher, historic from Civil War is there as well as the NC Aquarium. Hope this helps! I can not write websites in my answer.
