This hotel is currently under renovation, which was not made known at the time that we booked. We were put in the smallest hotel room that we have ever stayed in. It did have a microwave and a refrigerator which was fortunate. And the king size bed was comfortable. But the towels were hard and scratchy. The ice machine on our floor was out of order. The breakfast area was closed due to the renovations and they never even offered us a “To Go” breakfast when we checked out. Our advise is to avoid until their renovations are completed.

I learned during a phone call when I made my reservations that the hotel was being renovated, and no 1st floor rooms were available for booking. I was traveling with two small dogs and on check-in we were assigned a 2nd floor room. When we got to the room I discovered that the A/C was not cooling sufficiently, and the phone and TV didn't work. Thanks to a responsive and pleasant desk clerk, Christa, we were soon assigned a different 2nd floor room that was comfortable and entirely met expectations. Because of Covid restrictions the hotel is currently not serving a buffet breakfast, but instead offers breakfast bags that can be picked up at the front desk. The bag contains a heated Jimmy Dean sausage, egg & cheese biscuit, fruit yogurt, a cheese Danish, and choice of apple or orange juice. For dinner I ate at Ribeye's, a popular steakhouse that is located behind the hotel within 5 minutes walking distance. I am grateful to Christa and management for resolving the hiccup at check-in and ensuring a pleasant stay.

We called this hotel last minute, as we had been stuck out on Cape Hatteras due to a road closure. I spoke with Shay who was very friendly and efficient! We also had our dog with us, so I was grateful to find this place! We were upgraded for no charge because they didn't have any king rooms left. Check in was a breeze, the room was very comfortable, bed and shower were great as well. Breakfast was definitely above average for an included hot/Continental breakfast- yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, pancake maker, omelettes, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, baked goods, good coffee. I was also surprised and pleases that this hotel didn't jack up the price due to last minute demand...there were a lot of people in the same boat as us. We will definitely choose this hotel again!

General Manager Evans Brothers went above and beyond to help us. We arrived late tired and no reservation. He did find a room for us even though the hotel was very busy, Suggested a restaurant close by which was good. Hotel was clean, great mattress, good breakfast.

Nestled just off the Highway in the middle of a field this hotel offers a great getaway that isn’t that far away. We had a clean and comfortable room for a great price. There is a great steak house not more than fifty yards from the hotel where we enjoyed a fabulous steak dinner. You know you are staying at a great place when the parking lot is full when departing in the morning!
