We were in the building next to the restaurant/office. Sink was outside the bathroom. Breakfast was skimpy, but there were a few choices and it was delivered to the room. So it was better than the usual motel fare during the virus. The shower curtain rod was just a cheap, spring-loaded thing that fell when I tried to hang a wet towel on it. The in-room coffee packets were apparently for an 8-cup maker instead a 4, so it came out waaay strong. Great view, nice room, high price. Restaurant is good. We might stay there again.
This old inn on the Blue Ridge Parkway south of Asheville has gorgeous views, lovely walks, and an excellent restaurant. It's not the cookie cutter plastic room of your corporate chain hotel, so please expect to enjoy something a little different. The rooms are gracious in size, and well appointed. Every room has an amazing panoramic view out the back and a nice private deck with rocking chairs (take your key out with you, lol). This inn and it's highly rated restaurant are well attended, so plan your visit in advance. Strongly recommend.
My husband and I stayed there while driving the Blue Ridge. It’s an old inn and nothing fancy, but the rooms all have a fabulous view of the mountains, The amenities were sufficient This is our first time traveling since Covid and we felt safe. We njoyed a delicious dinner in their restaurant. The staff at front desk and in the dining room were very polite and helpful.
Stayed here 1 night mid-October. OK, the view are great, I'll give it that, but honestly I've stayed at nicer motel 6's for under $75. This place was $270 per night, the room was so-so, basically a tired old place. Had I known, I would have stopped by for a look and went elsewhere for the money.
Not a lot to eat in the area and while it was impossible to eat in the small restaurant - never could have timed a reservation - they have the grazing deer cafe which provides hot meal takeout. We tried the BLT and the BBQ pork and both were good. And you can’t beat the view from a picnic table, chairs or even a patch of grass.
