(1)Generously Kind, Friendly, Helpful and Interesting Staff Determined to Make Your Stay the Best Possible Experience: Wherever I have travelled, it's always the people you meet that make the difference--especially if you choose to stay at a B&B. My wife took me here for the 20th anniversary of my 48th birthday(☺️). We felt totally welcomed from the moment we arrived; thoroughly spoiled during our stay; totally rested, relaxed and satisfied when we left. Thank you, Anna🌹 (2)The House and History Best hilltop view of Waynesville and spectacular sunrise over the mountains to the east from the front porch. If only the magnificent 200 year old Oak trees could talk.... The number one historic landmark B&B that captures the past 120 years of not just home upgrades and improvements--but stories from the past. (3)Comfortable Bed and Bath: We stayed on the main floor in the Clyde Ray Jr Room--spacious; huge jet tub; lovely sitting room with couch and desk; mini fridge.... Very comfortable bed. (4)Food: Anna prides herself in her featured gourmet breakfast menus and optional dinners. I loved the food, attentive service and smiles. Whatever you want, Anna and her staff will go out of their way to provide. (5)Location: Waynesville offers some charming shops including a variety of galleries by local artists, restaurants and coffee shops. Lots of places to hike including Lake Junalusca. Close enough to Asheville that in the future--I'd rather stay at Oak Hill and enjoy the peaceful ambience.

Oak Hill on Love Lane is a step back in time; one-hundred and twenty years to be exact. Nestled under a canopy of tall oaks that seem to embrace the house and it's guests, one might feel as though they were standing in the midst of a storybook. I know I did. From the porch, your eyes follow a stone path leading past one of the large oak trees and a white-picket fence, down the hydrandea-laden yard to a fire-pit with seats for two...or four, over looking the smoky mountains. We stayed in the Clyde H. Ray Sr. room and it was lovely; well furnished with every aminity that you might need...and some. Well situated with a writing desk in the front sitting room off the bedroom. A small sofa, occasional chair or two, a small fridge, keurig and much more. The bedroom boasts a king size bed with the softest sheets I've ever slept on and is adjoined by a luxurious bathroom complete with a large jacuzzi tub/shower and a body wash that promises to clean your hands, body and soul. That last part being debatable. Breakfast was served each morning on the "storybook" porch underneath the oaks and in the company of other guests [w/proper spacing of course], the morning songbirds and the soft whistle from the morning train in the not too far distance, while overlooking the awakening Smoky Mountains as "they do that thing they do", said the Inn Keeper, Anna. Who by the way, hand-delivered the main course of our three-course gourmet breakfast each morning, along with her very own special blend of green tea, at my bidding, which didn't disappoint. Anna made us feel as though we were her only guests, and from the sound of it, the other guests felt likewise. We would definitely stay there again should the opportunity present itself. And whatever you do, do not pass by the bowl of salted caramels without partaking. They will absolutely melt in your mouth. But if you ask Anna, she just might share the name of the candy-maker with you. Which reminds me...I need to give her a call.

Beautiful Inn with gorgeous views. Hands down the best linens of anywhere we have stayed. The rooms are beautifully furnished and comfortable and exceptionally clean! The innkeepers attention to detail is superb down to the last detail. Be sure to ask about her special dinners, we had the Russian feast and it was out of this world. Breakfast on the porch was also beautifully prepared. Highly recommended. I look forward to our return soon.

Loved this B & B! Enjoyed a delicious breakfast every morning on the front porch with beautiful misty views of the mountains in the distance & tall trees overlooking the town of Waynesville. Anna, the Innkeeper was a wonderful hostess with much knowledge & wisdom for interesting conversation and radiated a true inner happiness to make you feel welcome & appreciated! Would definitely recommend this place & plan to stay again when in the area. Weather was great for hiking & enjoying the town. We hiked Graveyard Fields, Skinny dip falls, Dry Falls & walked around the lovely Lake Junaluska. We sat on the creek & had beer at nearby Frog Level brewery & had some great food at Boojums brewery in town.
