Sleep, Eat and Play with Mountain Views. Almost Heaven Bed & Breakfast is nestled on a hill overlooking our beautiful town of Waynesville, NC. Waynesville is known as The Gateway to The Smoky Mountains and is located about 26 miles SW of Asheville and the Biltmore and only 5 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Our town is packed with boutiques, restaurants, art galleries and antique shops, all within a few walking blocks of our B&B. Our historic home, built in 1927, is filled with antiques and retains much of it's originality. It is one of the closest Bed and Breakfast's to Main Street, but offers lots of privacy in a quiet setting. Come stay at our historic house where several famous singing cowboys of the 30's and 40's have stayed. Enjoy your 3 coarse Country Gourmet breakfast at our bistro table amongst the flowers or out on our covered deck while taking in the elevated mountain views. Come and see why we believe our home is "Almost Heaven"!

The most amazing B&B you could ever imagine with hosts that are genuinely lovely. While this home is situated in the town you would never know it. Sitting on the porch staring at the mountains in the distance you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. (And that’s a good thing.) Breakfasts are outstanding. We were there three nights and each breakfast was better than the previous. Our room (the Fall room) was so comfortable. With everything going on in this world I had not been sleeping well. However, I slept like a baby in the most comfortable bed. The rooms do not have TV’s and initially I thought that would be a problem (there is a TV in the gathering room if you need to watch) but we never turned the TV on. There is so much to do in the area. The hosts are more than willing to give you ideas or recommendations for things to do or restaurants to try. I can’t wait to go back. There is a sign there that says something to the effect of arrive as strangers leave as friends. It’s more than just a kitschy saying. It’s the truth.

Almost Heaven Bed & Breakfast is a beautiful home and is in a wonderful location to get out and enjoy nature. Close to the Blue Ridge Parkway where you can hike and enjoy the great outdoors. Rob and Patti were both so very welcoming and have made their home into a retreat to escape from the world! Breakfast was a special treat each morning. Patti is a fantastic cook! Thank you for sharing your home with us! We look forward to returning for another visit.

My wife and I stayed there for a weekend get away. The hosts were nice and inviting. They did a great job with the house, inside and out. They serve their guests a very thought out breakfast in the mornings. However, if you are on a low carb diet like me, you will not be able to eat it, so pass, they are not a eggs and bacon breakfast, if you like a lot of carbs then go for it. We stayed in the Summer Room, it was nice and well decorated but, the mattress is a little to be desired. The left side of the bed is angled to the headboard like some slats are missing underneath. Did not sleep well at all both nights, they might want to take a look at the bed and fix it. All and all, it is an ok place, don't get the Summer Room unless they have fixed the bed.

Wonderful, warm, welcoming hosts. Relaxing, fun and convenient location. Great breakfasts. Lots of wildlife, birds, chipmunks, and if you are lucky some bigger critters. Great weekend getaway. Access to the Blue Ridge Pkwy, 1:30 to Gatlinburg, 30 mins to Maggie valley and Asheville. .6 miles to town.

We decided at the last minute to get a way with our friends. We wanted a comfortable place to stay because of social distancing. We chose Almost heaven because of the house and property. It allowed us to hang out together and enjoy the evening by the fire and morning on the front porch. 5 star service and accommodations. Rob and Patti owners Focus on great service. Breakfast was 3 courses of homemade amazing food. Very close to downtown Waynesville.
