Spent 2 nights at Andon-Reid B&B in the Garden room. George and Andrea are wonderful and hospitable inkeepers. The room was beautiful and cozy place to spend our anniversary. Nice large jacuzzi tub and large shower with multiple heads. They pampered our with Lindt truffles and home baked chocolate chip cookies in our room. They served sccrumptious afternoon scratch baked treats. We so enjoyed the lemon bars and the pecan blondies. The grounds are astetically beautiful and peaceful! Don't miss the game room! Pool, darts, games as well as work out equipment. The gourmet breakfasts were absolutely delicious and delightful. They were gracious in working around our dietary needs. Definately a must stay at gem of a B&B when visiting Waynesville!
We spent two January nights at Andon Reid and much enjoyed George and Andrea's hospitality and their excellent breakfasts. We had the Magnolia Suite, west-facing with a view of the mountains. There's a king-sized bed with a large sitting area and a gas fireplace but you can read the website. In January, with night-time lows in the 20's, the room was well-heated. Even the large private and windowed porch, with two portable heaters, was very comfortable. The public rooms, including the breakfast area, are delightful. The breakfasts were first-rate. The menu is up the night before. There's ice, snacks, soft drinks and water available 24-7. It's not far from the center of town, probably a thirty-minute walk, but there is ample street and lot parking in the Main Street area. Andon-Reid is a comfortable and welcoming place and highly recommended.…
I chose the Andon Reid Inn for a quick trip to Waynesville and my first time there was amazing! The beautiful inn and the rockers on the porches were a great place to rest and read and just relax and enjoy the mountain views. The breakfast was superb, as they catered to my gluten-free needs and I was so impressed! The Grand Library Room is beautifully appointed, the bed was heavenly and the property was spotlessly clean. I appreciate their attention to detail and the security measures in place to ensure a worry-free stay for their guests. George and Andrea have set the bar very high for inns in Waynesville and I will definitely return!
We recently stayed at Andon-Reid B&B and after being warmly greeted by our innkeepers,Andrea and George,it soon became obvious that this home could be a destination on its own without venturing anywhere! It truly felt like we were as settled and comfortable here as at our own home with as much to occupy ourselves with as time would allow. Although we made time to explore the region ( Waynesville was a very quaint village with tons of shops and great restaurants) and enjoying a section of the Blue Ridge parkway which was a few minutes drive away to access it) we simply enjoyed our stay at our home away from home. From taking advantage of the games room ,we enjoyed some competitive pool games : we settled ourselves on their wrap -around veranda and savored the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains while engaging in a game of scrabble on the comfy rocking chairs and simply reading a good book and sunning ourselves on andirandrack chairs on the grassy knoll, we really felt a sense of being at peace with all. Our room was cosy, tidy and very clean throughout with added touches like welcoming cookies and cool fresh water and drinks in the mini fridge. The view from our private balcony was a welcome sight first thing in the morning as was the anticipation of a gourmet home made breakfast which was not a disappointment : the best meal of the day for sure!!!!! Thank you Andrea and George for a truly wonderful accommodation. Hope to return as soon as we can.…
Had two nights in the Magnolia Suite recently. Although we came for a mini break to the area to explore, this suite with its additional room looking onto the mountains was too beautiful to leave! Cleanliness and attention to detail hits you all across the inn. Everything one could want including fitness equipment in the basement! One this occasion we opted for a hike on the Blueridge parkway instead! George and Andrea are wonderful innkeepers who made us feel we were being genuinely welcomed into their home rather than their business. They were kindly accommodating about dietary restrictions at breakfast. And the coffee was 5*. We would love to go back!
This was our 3rd time to stay at the Andon-Reid. As before, we had a wonderfully relaxing visit on the property and in the area. Weather was great; windows were open. Room was clean, neat and in great condition. Fresh cookies in the Chestnut Room are always a great treat. Afternoon treats are also wonderful. I'm 6'3" and the shower head was above my head. (For those who care, that can be a big deal in older properties when the shower head might be at shoulder level.) Sitting in a chair on the lawn experiencing the end of the day and the coming darkness is very restful. 3 nights meant 3 wonderful breakfasts where being a member of the "clean plate club" is really easy! Andrea and George are wonderful hosts.
Andrea and George treat you so special. The room was fantastic, the guests very friendly and the breakfast homemade from scratch. The bed was large and the pillows the same. Very comfortable sleep. No TV's so bring your imagination and a good book to read. Never got a chance to go down to the adults game room but I heard it was fun.
This B&B is spectacular. Updated bathrooms, comfortable beds with luxury linen and a great location to downtown. The inn is beautiful throughout! Game room in the basement with plenty to do. Wonderful breakfast from friendly hosts.
Our first visit to the area and to Andon Reid B & B was absolutely terrific! A beautiful home and the view from our room of the mountains opposite was lovely. George and Andrea were the perfect hosts. We met so many wonderful fellow guests during our stay and that was a treat. Speaking of treats; Andrea provides a sweet treat in the afternoon to have with a cup of tea or coffee. A hearty and tasty breakfast sets you up nicely for a full day of activities. Waynesville has some very good restaurants/brewpubs within walking distance from the B & B and the Smokies and Asheville are a quick drive away. Along with the Smokies; the North Carolina Arboretum and the Southern Highland Craft Guild, Folk Art Center are must sees. We will definitely return to Andon Reid!
AndonReid Inn is the best B&B we have been to. That’s why we are coming back year after year. The rooms are superb, specious and beautifully decorated. Andrea and George are great, caring hosts and make sure we are comfortable and feel at home. We enjoy delicious breakfast and the afternoon cakes (lemon pies are the best). We love to seat on a lawn with wine and cheese in the afternoon after hiking and enjoy the beautiful mountains view. We like to walk to a restaurant such as Maggie Galley or Chefs table and later play billiard at the Inn’s huge game room. We highly recommend AndonReid B &B!
