Camp Hattaras caught my eye when looking for a place to stay in OBX. Stayed in a beautiful house two years ago right on the beach and knew I wanted to be on the beach for this trip, albeit in an RV. This campground offers several different site types and rates, i.e., oceanfront, middle of the park, back end and... More

This is our 5th fall visit to this campground. For us, it's the perfect time to visit The Outer Banks, as long as there isn't a hurricane in the forecast! The crowds are gone & the campground is sparsely occupied. Every year, we have lucked out with amazing weather - some days it was even necessary to put our Sportsbrella... More

That Sunday we were able to really enjoy the camp. We had a great church service on Sunday. The whole visit was so memorable we are still... More

This place is awesome! Nice big, clean sites. The beach area is beautiful! We had our 2 Golden Retrievers and they had a nice dog park area. Dogs are welcome on the beach at anytime. I will say you do have to pay extra for your dogs and cable TV per day. We had never heard of that before but... More

My husband and I have stayed at Camp Hatteras in April of both 2015 and 2016. We absolutely love this resort, as much for the people we have met there, as the place itself! The sites are nice, but there is no shade, so this would be very hot in the summer. They are more than adequate for our 40... More

Very clean camp ground. Open and large. Very friendly staff and campers. We stayed on the ocean side. Expensive and advertises right on beach----the dune is blocking it. Paid extra for ocean spot not knowing you don't have a view and if windy your stuff will be covered with salt water. I would stay in the middle next time- still... More

This is a really nice CG with easy access to the ocean and 2 large pools, one indoor and one outdoor. The roads are all paved so it's great for riding bikes. Only downside is it's expensive and they charge extra, a lot extra, for anyone in the party over 2 people.

As soon as you pull into the gate you are welcomed. The reservation office and store are clean and stocked with small things you can pick up instead of running out to a store.... milk, chips...etc Our site was 46 the site has a cement pad and a picnic table. Really close to the beach and shower house. The site... More

The campground it self was average at best. We have a 40ft 5th Wheel and felt the size of the sites were small compared to most of the places we visit that call themselves resorts. We were on the Bay/Sound side and it was very quiet but the "Free Wifi" was non existent. Almost all things are additional. Base rate... More

What a nice place! My husband is working in Dare County and we needed an RV park to stay in for the month. It's kind of far, but the only one that had a spot available. It's GREAT for me, I feel like I'm on vacation! We had truck troubles when we arrived, but, no problem. Everything I could want... More
