Our inn, located in a pine grove 10 miles west of Boone, NC, is the ideal retreat for burnt-out achievers, outdoor adventure seekers, and food lovers alike. Our kitchen offers the culinary experiences you'd only anticipate from an international cuisine tour, and each of our six guest rooms offers amenities straight off your Pinterest board. Our inn is the place to go when looking for a beautiful mountain wedding venue in Vilas, NC. It can accommodate small gatherings, including weddings, retreats, corporate meetings, and more. We also provide a range of classes annually, focusing on friends, food, health, and well-being.

If you are looking for a weekend of perfection this is it down to the smallest detail. We booked an overnight stay with a Tuscan dinner. If you are planning a stay be sure to include dinner at the inn because it is so perfect. You will savor that experience for years.
We arrived early to drop off our bags before our plan to take a suggested hike by the Inn owners. We also stopped and picked up a take out lunch on the way.
Upon our arrival we were greeted at the door by Gaye and welcomed in to look around and drop off bags. What an absolutely perfect exterior and interior. Spectacular. And I consider myself very particular! Every single direction you look is a masterpiece. From the built-ins holding white china and serving pieces to the Dacor, Wolf and Sub Zero appliances in the chef’s kitchen to the unbelievably beautiful distressed wood floors throughout. I know that I just gawked my way through the house noticing all the hand crafted cabinetry and moldings created by Gaye’s husband, Frank. You won’t believe how beautiful.
Gaye graciously set us up on the front porch to eat our lunch overlooking the lawn and pond. Again, perfection, beautiful outdoor furniture and cool, breezy porch.
Then we took the suggested hike from the local church up to a beautiful waterfall. Tough uphill walk but worth the arrival at the falls! I definitely recommend this hike.
For dinner we enjoyed an eight course small plate Tuscan dinner. I would recommend sitting at the chef’s table in the kitchen, a large marble topped counter height table for eight or ten. We had such a good time watching the chef preparing and setting up each course. Meticulously plated and served from scallops to sea bass to stuffed mushrooms to watermelon salad to lamb chop to short rib and then chocolate! Each course was unique and all planned by Gaye. An extra special touch was each guest received an envelope with the recipes printed on card stock to take home! I’m telling you every detail is done.
Then the rooms... I dare you to try to find anything wrong with them. From the linens, to the pillows, to the padded hangers, robes and then the floors, cabinetry, tile work, interior window shutters and on and on!
Breakfast was another outstanding event! Set up in a beautiful dining area, we enjoyed baked eggs, fruit, juice, outstanding coffee, bacon, breads as well as the company of our hosts. We were able to get to know our hosts while enjoying our meal!
Our stay was a 20 on a scale of one to ten. I understand many people might look at the prices and not come but I can tell you this is absolutely worth every penny.

My husband and I stayed at the inn 10 days ago and all I can say is Wow!!! Frank and Gaye are wonderful inn keepers and owners. Every space in the inn was clean and spotless, warming, and personalized. The simplistic color choices and lack of clutter leads to relaxation of your mind, where you can sit and enjoy morning coffee in the living room or on the front porch. We also had dinner at the inn with 4 other couples and a private chef. The food and wine was top notch!!! My husband and I are already talking about when we can get back to Valle Crucis to stay at the inn. Thank you Frank and Gaye for your friendly and warming personalities. We truly felt like we were guests in your beautiful home.

This place is AMAZING! Everything about our stay at The Inn at Little Pond Farm was perfect. First, I appreciate quality and the Inn is absolutely beautiful the quality and craftsmanship of the Inn is stunning. As beautiful as it is it is only topped by the setting tucked into the hillside at the base of a mountain, it was stunning! The bed, bedding and towels were all great. The towels were so think when we put them on the towel warmer it was like wrapping yourself in a blanket. Finally, Courtney, the caretaker was so friendly, welcoming and helpful in every way. This was just wamhat we were looking for a long weekend away to relax and do some exploring of the high country. We won't even think of staying at another location next time we visit the area.

What a beautiful and tranquil location, right in the heart of Valle Crucis. You feel right at home the minute you step through the door. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. The amount of details in design are incredible. I enjoyed sitting outside sipping wine while nibbling on a charcuterie board. The bed and linens were amazing, better than any place I’ve stayed in this area. Breakfast was freshly made and ingredients sourced locally. If you’re looking for a luxurious place to stay, this is your spot. Thank you to The Inn At Little Pond for a fabulous birthday stay.

I have had the luxury of staying at Inn at Little Pond on 3 various occasions. The third was for my own wedding in September 2019. Words cannot describe how perfect my wedding weekend and day was-- all thanks to Gaye and Frank. They went above and beyond on all accounts during our stay and our guests stay over the weekend. The dinners we enjoyed during our visits prior to the wedding are indescribable. The attention to detail is unlike any other I have ever experience. I honestly don't even have the words to describe how special the Inn at Little Pond truly is. My husband and I will visit in years to come & as many times as they will have us!! We look forward to bringing our parents back in the fall as a treat and anniversary gift to ourselves!

This is one of the nicest inns we have visited in many years. The room was spacious and most comfortable. However, the entire experience was dissappointing since the staff totally failed to even aknowledge our presence. We recieved text messages that told us how to get inside and find our room and we never saw a staff person until morning. Not once did staff say "good morning" or provide any kind of kind greeting. There were not enough places set at the table for all guests and they did not have enough food prepared. It took us and other guests scurrying and finding placemats, etc for all to be able to eat. We got a quickly cut bowl of cut fruit rather than the lovely yogurt/fruit parfait - not apologies from staff. Second morning was much the same only they did have a place for everyone to eat. NEVER a kind greeting, not a how can we help you plan your day, and certainly not a Thanks for our business. Disappointment for sure. Hopefully whoever becomes the new owners will have some understanding of hospitality and guest services.

GleNan232 Wow. We are so sorry that you felt that the hospitality was nonexistent. This is definitely not typical of our guest experiences, as you can see from our other reviews! If guests check-in outside of the allotted check in hours, we do send check-in instructions via text message, but we are always available by phone for questions. If you have specific comments or concerns, we would love for you to contact us directly, since this does not sound at all like the experiences we provide for our guests. The entire home is immaculate … amazingly so. Our room (Blowing Rock) was wonderful … a big room tucked away toward the end of the house (near a coffee bar alcove, yea!). The innkeeper, Rachel, reached out with us to confirm our arrival time and was very flexible when we realized we would arrive a little early. And Courtney made the most delicious breakfast each morning … we rarely eat a big breakfast when rushing around day to day, so the relaxing atmosphere, hot coffee, and wonderful food made for a fantastic start to the day. Just the perfect getaway for a long weekend!

We had a spectacular stay! We rented the entire inn and their chef prepared a dinner for us on Saturday night. The house is very well appointed, we felt right at home. Courtney (the innkeeper) was so helpful in both the pre-planning, and in making us feel comfortable and that anything we needed could be provided for. The food was excellent and plentiful. As people who appreciate design, we felt that this house and setting was the perfect place to spend a special getaway trip. Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Inn. Our room was spacious with comfortable bedding. The bathroom included a very large soaking tub and a shower that was unbelievable! Courtney, the manager, was extremely personable and made a fabulous breakfast. The homemade cookies in the evening were a sweet bonus!!!! Valle Crusis and the surrounding area was fun to explore!!

Just happened across your question and I know your date has already passed. I have stayed at inn at little pond farm over the past two years including this past weekend. I have never seen any young people there , it's all couples and some retirees that I've seen. The chetola Resort nearby in town Of Blowing Rock NC Caters To Families and Is A Great Location in Town And Beautiful Property !
There are more places to choose from in the Vilas area.
