This is a fantastic campground if you have kids. There is a lot for them to do and their are 6-8 planned activities per day. We arrived on a Wednesday and the park was only half occupied but by the Friday it was full. Perfect for families and multi-generations. We felt comfortable letting kids go out and play. Safe. Extremely clean campground. We had a pull thru site and NO shade. Bath houses were clean. The general store was well-stocked. We enjoyed their theme (Christmas in July) week. One evening a family had bright lights on and were playing cornhole and making noise until midnight wish the park enforced their quite time rules. This was the most expensive campground we have ever stayed at. $323 for 3 nights. . We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Daddy Joe's in a Motorhome

Thank you for camping with us Larry! We are glad that you enjoyed the amenities, site, store, and all of our planned activities. We received a call about the noise situation and one of our rangers was able to stop by and take care of the noise issue. In the future feel free to contact our night ranger number if you feel we haven't seen/heard a situation. We do our best to enforce quiet hours so all of our guest can enjoy camping and a good night's sleep. We hope that you will return to camp with us.

We have been motorhoming for almost 50 years. We have traveled to 48 of the 50 states with our 7 different motor coaches. We almost always stayed in RV parks, probably thousands, including some of the worst and some of the best. We have been at Daddy Joe's for almost a year. We have never "full timed" but are having a house built nearby thus necessitating this lengthy stay. This park has proven to be exceptional in many ways. The administration has been efficient, caring and courteous. The park and all of it's many amenities are impeccably maintained. There are too many to enumerate. We are senoir who have enjoyed seeing the seasons change and the many families enjoying the park's many, many, activities and attractions. Kudos to all who contribute to making this park one of the very best, if not the best we have ever visited.

This is a perfect place to for family fun with kids. Something to do all day. It is a very safe place for kids of all ages to play freely. I can't say enough how kind the owners and staff were. The owners are very visible. They went out of their way to help me, a total stranger, after having a family emergency while there. I can't wait to get back there again.

First I will rate a cabin. 2 stars for the cabin. There are plenty of beds but the only usable bed is in the 1 room and it's very loud and very uncomfortable. The other beds have no air flow to them so its hot, like sweat in your sleep hot. If we would have brought a fan i would have been ok but i didnt know to bring a portable fan to be able to sleep comfortably in an ac cabin. The bathroom roof is too low. The shower head is made for anyone under 5 ft 2. If your taller than a kid then you have to bend in the shower to wash your hair. This place is great for kids 3 to 9. There are lots of activities. We payed for the extra money ones and not worth most of them. The ice cream social, yuck! It's flavored ice, not ice cream. Ice cream is creamy so after we paid for the yucky ice cream at the social we went to the creamery which is actually really yummy and worth it. So skip the ice cream social. The ty dye shirts are ok, they gave no instructions and it's been a while since I've ty dyed but we got it and the shirts are nice. The leave no trace, it sounded like a great idea but totally fell short of what could have been awesome. Dinner was one slice of pizza each, that's not a dinner. They said they didn't have the stuff to makes smores so that was taken off. Like they couldn't have went to the general store and bought the stuff. The hike it in the trail behind the tents filled with mosquitoes and your on your own to find a scavenger hunt. I think a character bear should totally lead the way and make it fun with music for the kids to hike through the woods. But no, it was lame. Just another let down for a paid activity. The fire truck ride is worth doing, the candy bar bingo is fun too. Movie night was a let down but the cantina snacks were great. The lakes have fish but even more turtles. I think I caught 7 turtles and no fish the few times I kept trying. I saw fish but the turtles were meaner and faster to get on my hook. Overall I'm glad I came and we had fun but it's definitely not a place I would return to. There are much better camping places out there.

Staff is always friendly and helpful. We got a buddy site -the quads and had a great time. They have a ton of activities for the kids to do throughout the day. Splash park and outdoor pool were both open along with indoor pool. The ponds are beautiful and tons of people were fishing. We can’t wait to come back.

The campground as well kept and has lots to do. We really enjoyed the pools and the mini water park. The kids love the creamery and the mini golf. We tent camped and I do think it’s too hot that time of year for tent camping so if I go in the summer again I would rather have a cabin or a camper camper. I plan on coming back and it was a lot of fun overall.

Visited end of March and found the campground extremely well kept with bathrooms spotless and in great order. It's a larger campground, so they offer golf carts, but they are not necessary, if you are looking to save money. Looks like at the right time of year there are lots of things for the kids to do. During our visit only one pool was open plus mini-golf, the playgrounds/jungle gyms and swings. With that, everyone was at the indoor pool, which was nice in itself, but not with all the roughhousing, pushing, running, and ball throwing. The grill does not have hours noted at the window, and the menu is quite limited, until they move into their new location (sometime after memorial weekend). We found on several occasions that staff did not know basic information and had to ask several people for information. Plenty of catch and release fishing that several kids and adults were enjoying. The future store has construction that starts at 6:30am during the week. It would be helpful if at check in a information packet with the most current Wifi info, store hours, grill hours/days, daily activities for the week as info contradicted with the app. The yurts and tent areas are nicely shaded as is the tree area by the front office, otherwise you are very much exposed to the elements. We will be saving future visits for the warmer times when all the amenities are open. There is a nice Food Lion that is close by to pick up all your groceries needs. The firewood at the campground is about the same price as elsewhere, so no need to bring your own.

This is a great place for kids. I felt safe letting my kids ride their bikes and explore as they wished. Park is very clean and well kept. This was our first experience in a large RV resort. We typically prefer smaller, less crowded campgrounds. But this was a great change up for the kids. A few tips—reserve early if you want shade on your site. There are very few sites in the trees. Rent a golf cart. It’s a large resort and this a must. Have cash handy for ice cream shop and activities. Download the app!

We absolutely love Daddy Joe’s. While we only had our adult son and DIL we enjoyed seeing the kids ride bikes, play in the water park & fish in the many ponds. We checked the activity schedule each day. During peak season & Covid times we signed up for pool times in 1 hour increments. We were next to the kids pool area. Fun to see them play & the big bucket fall over & splash the kids. The Ol’ Swimming Hole was open until 10 pm. While we were visiting, there were themes each week. During our visit there were obstacle courses, laser tag, fishing tournaments, tie dye t shirts, races with Yogi, emoji Pictionary, ride by dance party, bingo via Zoom, & many other activities while social distancing. Boo Boo had a fire truck parade one day. The hay rides & jumping pillows were shut down during Covid times. The laundry & bathhouses were extremely clean. I liked that there were suites for each family. The entire family could shower at once. There was a toilet, sink & many hooks on the dry wall for towels, bags etc all in one room. One of the few places I saw room for improvement was in the shower. There was no place to hang a shower bag or put the soap, shampoo or shower gel. Maybe this was due to Covid as well. We hung our shower bag on the shower handle where we turned the water on. The baths were cleaned frequently & we could tell Clorox was used to kill germs. The homemade banana pudding ice cream & salted caramel ice cream were to die for. Each camp site is a concrete pad with picnic table as well as fire pit. There is much more space between camp sites than other places we have camped. We could not get a good WiFi signal nor smart TV service in site 135. We called & the young lady said they had a new service they were trying out. The golf carts are 48 volts & have more zip than our 36 volts at home. When we went to pick our reserved golf cart up, the shop had closed for the night. They gave us a refund for the unused day with no problem. All the areas we saw were paved. Adults & kids enjoyed many bike rides on the paths. Not sure if there were bicycles for rent. We saw at least 2 dog parks. We made friends with many dog friendly families. The actual playground equipment was closed due to Covid regulations. The quad layouts are cool for 4 families to share time together. All 4 campers face inward and share fire pits, grilling areas and picnic tables. It was a hot August weekend but each site had at least a crepe myrtle tree which provided a little shade when eating or grilling outside. We have stayed on previous visits in the front section of the park where all sites are well shaded & somewhat private from one another with trees. It is pretty cool as well. We were only 15 miles from a Walmart & 30 minutes from North Myrtle beach, outlets, & shopping. There were several good restaurants in Tabor city as well. We definitely will be back to see Yogi, Boo Boo and Cindy Bear soon.

We checked in on Sunday afternoon and left on Monday night due to hurricane. I asked about the plan and the statement I received was we don't evacuate we go to the activity center for shelter. So my 3 day stay got cut to 1. That amounts to 253.29 for 1 nights stay because camping is an outdoor experience and we don't refund. Then there was the ant problem, our concrete pad was infested with ants and when we got home the camper was full of ants and I lost 2 dozen Britt's donuts because of the ants.
