This is a small and tight campground built around a mountain creek that is immaculately maintained, beautiful setting, many nice features, quiet and peaceful in the heart of the Carolina Balsam Mountains. Lots to do in the area and close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Not recommended for really big rigs or rowdy campers. beautiful tent sites. One of the nicest we have ever visited.
I recently stayed at this amazing campground and was blown away at how gorgeous it was inside and out! The setting is beautiful with natural elements as well as lovely created features such as waterfalls and a pond. It is truly a tranquil and peaceful environment. Inside the bathhouses were not only super clean but decorated with incredible tile and granite! Never seen anything like it and the story behind it is pretty fascinating...just ask Jim, the owner! I stayed in both a cabin, super cozy and tented in The Sanctuary, a section in the back of the campground that is creekside and quiet and lovely. Both Dana and Jim were super helpful, generous of their time and incredibly kind. I will definitely be back to visit this premier campground!
Beautiful campground with great staff and owners who are always willing to help. Bathhouse and laundry are super clean. We had an extended family outing (12 people in 5 sites), stayed 5 nights, and used their rustic shelter with Blackstone griddle. Would definitely recommend.
This place is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Beautiful place for couples and for families. There were children playing. it’s pet friendly I cannot say enough about our week stay or how bad we hated that our stay with Jim the owner and staff who were so wonderful had to come to an end
Campground is a beautiful hidden gem tucked away in the mountains of North Carolina. Lots of shade, lovely bubbling creek running through the entire campground. Owners have done a great job accommodating lots of guests but still giving you that serene feeling of being tucked away in the forest. Jim has done a great job of being eco friendly in caring for the plants, trees and creek. As well as restoring the native trees and flowers native to the Appalachian mountains. We have been there to camp twice from different states and have already booked again for next year. Jim is also super helpful getting you backed in to your spot perfectly! You can always count on Dana to answer any questions on booking promptly, very helpful!
