We live in Surf City full time. Needed more space for family visiting. What a wonderful family owned business. My mom and sister were very comfortable with the two Queen beds, the large bathroom, and the nice area for making light breakfast and snacks. We were all impressed by how extremely clean the whole room was. Tropical decor makes you...

Once again we had a memorable stay at the Island Inn. The staff were as friendly as ever and the rooms were updated so they exceeded our expectations. As always we recommend the Island Inn to anyone not looking for resort style hotel. We definitely rate it a five star.

Thank you!!! We do more every year to make our guests have a better stay than they did the year before. Love to be appreciated for all our hard work! My husband is the carpenter, though he had to have some help this year due to eyesight, and our son does pretty much the rest. I sew, paint, and keep...

If you want a no frills room with decent amenities (fridge, microwave, table) book this hotel. If you like luxury hotels with updated everything, turn down service, etc.this is not the place for you. I am a bit of a hotel snob but I can also be very low maintenance. For the price this was fine. The place appeared clean...

Wonderful weekend celebrating our Wedding Anniversary Oct. 14-16th at Island Inn. Adorable place to stay & very clean inside & out. Right across the street from ocean & walking distance to restaurants & shops. All the staff were very nice. We will definitely be back again.

Totally agree with every review. Owners are exceedingly nice and the Inn is basic and clean. One small thing though - the rooms are non smoking which is great but you are allowed to smoke immediately outside with the door closed. So if the guests next door smoke then you be walking through the fumes like we were as the...

The Island Inn is not a fancy, schmancy beach hotel/spa. It caters to people who come to Surf City to spend time on the beach or to go fishing. The rooms are pretty basic. Ours had a microwave and fridge next to a small seating area with table. We did not use the pool, but it was always sparkling clean....

The Island Inn is steps away from the ocean, restaurants, and shops. The owners are very sweet and nearby in case of emergencies. Our rooms (10 and 12) were very clean, smoke-free, unique, affordable, small and dark--not really "hang out" rooms so plan on spending your time on the beach or on the town. It's not glamorous but the Island...

Clean, cozy rooms, great setup - beach literally right across street. We struggled to find a good setup that was pet friendly in the area and hit the jack-pot with Island Inn. Small locally owned (owner on premises) and ownership pride shows. Reasonably priced as well. Cute setup with picnic table in front of each room. We'll definitely be back.

Clean rooms, a great staff, and ideal location. The swimming pool is nice and very well kept. A short walk across the street and your at the beach! If your looking for a resort type hotel this probably isn't for you. But if your looking for a clean and cozy place to lay your head while visiting Topsail / Surf...

The location of this place is the best. The beach is just across the street! You can walk to restaurants and there are a couple of great stores around. We were in one of the room on the 1st floor near the pool and it was ok for the weekend. We had 2 teens with us. The room was clean...
