I go to vend at a gem show in Spruce Pine and this is always my choice. It is rather expensive and not fancy but it's always clean and reasonably comfortable. No breakfast, no AAA discounts, but still prob the best place to stay in town.

After visiting the illustrious Penland School of Crafts, another artist/student friend of mine and myself decided to stay 1 more night in the amazingly beautiful and highly energized town of Spruce Pine, NC. The Lady Concierge and the Lobby are radiantly bejeweled in gemstones and minerals. The grounds are kept super clean and visitor friendly for use in the great... More

The beds are AWFUL! We ached all week from sleeping on what felt like a creaky box spring instead of a mattress. Not much to choose from in Spruce Pine and this was inexpensive. The two stars I gave it are for the low cost and cleanliness. It's a definitely no frills place which is fine because we weren't in... More

Does not allow pets so I feel as though they are animal haters the rooms are not nice or clean so why discriminate against animals and what do they make the check in progress so annoying the linens need to be updated and the and the rooms need to be updated

Rooms were clean, staff made you feel so welcome large complex and conveniently located to shopping and eating areas. Frig, Microwave and coffeemaker in room and good WiFi reception. I highly recommend this motel

I had room 26 which is on the nearest 226, heard air brakes most of the night, but did get good sleep. Being a motel I wasn't expecting extras and was pleasantly surprised to find keyless door lock, in room refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker (with 2 packs of coffee) and WiFi. Furniture is basic but comfortable. No breakfast but found... More

Our room was on the end (#25) close to the main highway which was noisy in morning hours. I thought for no frills & no breakfast, the pricing was to high . The rooms were clean and for staying one night it wasn't bad.

After making reservations at another motel and finding it was grossly under-represented on its website, we came to the Pine Valley Motel. It was clean and quiet even though it was sold out the first night we stayed. Furnishings are a little dated and there were a few dings here and there, but overall, not a bad place to stay.... More

Friendly owners and staff. Rooms are clean and nice. No pets, though. But a great location and a good layout of the rooms. Stayed there three days for a ministry in the area, and they took good care of me. Not a lot of frills, but a quiet place to stay!

We had a very spacious room and bathroom. We slept well and the place is clean. The lady at the desk was efficient and gave us a little bit of history of the area. There is no breakfast offered but there is WiFi. This motel has three different buildings which were built at different times. Might be the reason for... More
