Great visit. Was a small trail group lead by Brittany and Amanda. Horses were all really good. One stepped on an underground beehive, but maintained itself enough that the 1st time child rider was able to stay on. Trail was a little rough for horses in some places because of excessive mud from the rain the night before. Trail takes horses through the river a little too. Only went up to about my feet, one got soaked the other stayed dry. We rode Blaze and Flash. Great visit.

Our family rented out the Bunkhouse. There were 19 of us and we had rooms left over. The rooms are basic rooms with bunk beds and a bathroom at the end of each hall. Surprisingly the beds were comfortable. Bed Linen was provided but the staff did not come daily and exchange out old towels. Downstairs is one large room with a fireplace, lots of tables and chairs. The large kitchen has all of the necessary supplies plus a commercial dishwasher. In addition, there is a large walk-in refrigerator and freezer. All in all we had a great stay. I would request that someone work on the sewage smell under the staircase. Other than the lack of towels and the sewage smell it's a great place for a large group to stay.

We camp or cabin every fall in Gods Country, (NC Mountains) and this was our first time staying here. This is the most relaxing beautiful place with rocking chairs on the porches and fireplaces and great kitchens. There;s fishing & swimming and some areas for weddings. The grounds are beautiful and clean, well taken care of.The staff are very friendly & helpful. We will be going back next fall for sure or maybe sooner. Thanks to all!

Our family rented a cabin which turned out to be nice. The staff we met was very friendly and helpful. The mountain trail which follows the river leading to two waterfalls was a nice family hike. It would have been much better if the trail did not have so many fallen trees laying across it. A few hours clearing with a chainsaw would have made it better for the seniors in our group. Some of our group stayed in the campground. Same story. The bathrooms show a lack of upkeep, Paint peeling off the walls and doors, only two working toilets in woman's bathroom. The countertop in men's bath pulling off the wall, broken urinal. The showers were in terrible condition. The dump station was not able to be used. We would go back but... It would not take much maintenance to make this facility much better
