We knew the unit was a tri-level. We knew there would be some steps. BUT we had not anticipated steep steps at a 45 degree incline and so many. Asked at check in for a unit with less steps and told none available. We in our opinion didn’t think the complex was full. Was told 1 building was down. But many buildings had no cars. Or just 1 car. My options were 27, 29, or 31 steps. Leaving carrying suitcases UP was a challenge. Main floor smelt musty. And squirrels running on roof was alarming as it sounded like their nest was in the roof or walls. Tried to walk complex but too steep and we all gave up

Your feedback is greatly appreciated. We always try to accommodate guests who want fewer steps, however, there are times when owners or guests will book the units but do not check-in or stay a long time in them. We also provide help with carrying your luggage to and from the unit. Please accept my apologies if this service was not offered to you. The Foxhunt team strives to ensure that every guest has a positive experience during their stay. It appears that, in your case, we may have fallen short. If you come back in the future, please call us in advance to arrange these special requests and make your vacation more enjoyable.

We had a good time during our stay, the area has lots of great restaurants. There are many waterfalls to visit. We went horseback riding and hiking. And if it's your thing several golf courses. They even have skiing and snow tubing.

The location of the townhouse was great.. The view of the lake and fall folliage was spectacular. We took two resort-sponsored trips that were enjoyable in that the driver (me) could enjoy the view instead of concentrating on the mountain roads. The only downside to the townhouse is the lack of a recycling.program. If a recycling program were in place, I would have rated the unit a 5.

This is the second time we have stayed here, and we plan to make it an annual trip. There's plenty of privacy, since the units are designed to maximize scenery rather than looking into other units. The unit is extremely roomy and comfortable, and we really enjoyed our time in the Community Center. We also took a wonderful tour of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The only problem we had was a DVD player that didn't work, and they brought us a brand new device right away. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable but also very relaxed. We love it here.

A getaway for with hubby to see the Fall foliage. The condo itself was surrounded by woods up the side of the mountain it was well equipped with the necessary kitchen and bath needs. The furniture was cozy and was furnished to reflect the mountain location. Very comfortable beds and living room furniture. There were 2 decks for relaxing outside and the view of the woods was great. I even had a few little deer walk by while sitting out there. We did not take advantage of the amenities provided as we only stayed a few days. Location is very close to the small town of Cashiers. Recommend making reservations at Winslows Hideaway for a special dinner. Your tastebuds will not be disappointed. The food is wonderful!

The Foxhunt at Sapphire Valley was a great place to get away. We were there at a time when alot of things were closed so would have liked to know that before we went there, but what was open was good. The Unit itself was very spacious and had most things you would need.

We enjoyed our recent stay here. Guests are given Amenity Passes for the Community Center and the Rec Center. On Tuesday mornings, a breakfast buffet is available at the Community Center for $9.50 pp, and my husband enjoyed it quite a bit. On Wed. evenings, a spaghetti supper is available there as well, but we were leaving on Wed. so I can't review that. The Rec Center has an exercise facility, indoor and outdoor pools, mini-golf and table tennis available for free. It also has pool tables available for $1.00/game, and a game room with Skee-Ball and many arcade machines, so be sure to bring your quarters. There's a flat hike on the River Walk which was an easy 3/4 of a mile in total, and we enjoyed that as well. A nice respite for a couple of days.

The family enjoyed the stay, there were a lot of things to do during the July 4 weekend. We used the swimming lake, the beach, walked around the snapping turtle lake, and explored around the area. I didn't see any bears or deer but I did see a lot of birds, mushrooms, salamanders, and large snails which were really cool. The master bed was okay but better than most. When you entered the room the second bedroom was in front with a full bath > go down the stairs and there was master with a large bathroom. It had a jet 2 person tub but I didn't use it because there was black stuff in the jets....but I normally do not use these things anyway. The master had a deck with rockers & a table as well. If you went up the stairs from the entry you found yourself in a large living area with wood burning fireplace, updated kitchen, and a deck that spanned from the eating area to the living area. There were bees in the left wall of the deck (I didn't call because we got busy)…its the woods so expect something. There was 1 spider in the master but we put it outside > it got back in so it had to go :) We went and saw a couple of water falls, and went to July 4 Yankee Doodle Dandy Day for the snow cones and petting zoo. All in all I would come back even though I had altitude sickness. I loved the fact we were in the woods and there was all kinds of stuff to see. If your "thing" is going outside, enjoying nature, hiking, etc then this is the place for you. Be prepared to have only 1 bar of service, and bring paper maps or download the maps to your phone. We did get lost (I mean we were exploring) twice.

We enjoyed a much needed rest with our friends, all of us escaping the heat from Hilton Head and Atlanta! FoxHunt is located among the cool forests, beautiful landscaping, and while not all units are lakeside, ours was (had requested as few steps as possible), so we were so pleased to sit on the deck overlooking the lake enjoying temps 10 degrees cooler than home! We would recommend this resort and location to anyone who wants to be located well between a few towns -- Cashiers, Highlands, Sapphire, Waynesville or Brevard - Restaurants nearby, Mica's and The Library, both top notch. Nearby venues: Blue Ridge Parkway, Pisgah Inn (lunch with views!!) Cradle of Forestry in Brevard area not to be missed -- and Gorges State Park nearby. This area is Land of the Waterfalls -- so much to see and enjoy, so little if you wish to veg out!
