My wife and I had stayed here many (before kids) years ago and made the decision to return. We were glad we did. First, the staff was incredible from the moment we arrived. Everyone was friendly and as accommodating as possible both with regards to the inn and the restaurant. Second, the restaurant, Newman’s, was delicious. Breakfast was outstanding and was only outdone by dinner. Third, COVID-19 protocols are in effect but do nothing to dampen the experience. Lastly, the accommodations were quaint and comfortable. We stayed in the inn and were satisfied with our room. It is an old inn, but that is part of the charm and the owners continue to invest in the property to improve the guest experience. We definitely plan to return.
I visited Orchard Inn in October 2020 and managed to arrive just in time for peak fall color season. In addition to the beautiful views from the inn, the staff was warm, welcoming and very knowledgable. I had a fabulous and relaxing time and highly recommend visiting them!
The Orchard in is absolutely beautiful. It is set high up in the hills where the views are spectacular. The owners are kind and welcoming. We were given a complimentary night for Veteran's Day. The room was lovely. Cookie was delicious and waiting for us in our room . Their dogs were friendly. The breakfast was delicious. We sat in a screen porch to eat and were able to watch the birds fly to and from the feeders.
Being from Florida, we were looking for a getaway in the NC mountains at the time the leaves were changing. We were lucky to find a four night vacancy at Orchard Inn, and lucky it was. From the moment we were welcomed by Adam, until we were bid farewell by Marc and Maryann, we felt like we were welcome guests in their home. We wanted to be separate and safe, so we stayed in the Mountain View East suite, next to the main building. The wrap around porch, on the hundred year old main house, was set up with tables for breakfast, which was uniquely prepared each morning, and fabulous. This place was truly a fantastic find, and we plan to return.
Just wanted to give a shout-out to the Orchard Inn and its staff in Saluda, NC for a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Everything was simply perfect. After a year of upheaval and lockdowns for our Mom in assisted living, this was the needed antecdote for everyone's mental well-being. The beautiful, relaxing setting and facilities and the delicious meals were all spot-on. The smells of cooking and the sounds of pots and pans in the kitchen, a warming fire, being greeted by the resident boxers and cats all gave the feel of being home together. Many thanks for your warm hospitality and first-class attention. Hoping you all have a very Merry Christmas holiday!!
