My wife and I spent one night in the Keeping Room on the main floor of the house in early August and both of us enjoyed it immensely. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the bath and shower were also. The ambiance of the public areas is spacious but inviting. The immediate gardens, paths and vegetation were teeming with life (flowers, plants, trees, birds, etc.), while the more distant views of the valley and mountains were grand. Orchard Inn's owners and their staff were delightfully warm and accomodating, yet not intrusive. Breakfast was excellent, both in quality, timeliness and service. Our only regret was that we were there on a Monday evening and the much-acclaimed restaurant, Newman's, was not open. We look forward to returning soon and experiencing it as well. We hope to bring our grown children with us on our next visit as words don't adequately describe the treasure that we discovered at the Orchard Inn and its surroundings.

Stayed here for one night in the main house and enjoyed it very much. The grounds are beautiful, and the dining and sitting areas are special. The view from the deck made for one of the most memorable breakfasts ever. The staff were efficient, and the food was bountiful and good. The only drawback was the loud window air conditioner, which disturbed our sleep. Given the age of the house, there's not much to be done about this, but, if you're a light sleeper, be aware and maybe stay in a cottage instead?

This was a beautiful, quiet, and sweet Bed and Breakfast. My husband and I stayed in one of the private cabins. It was very quiet and the breakfast was five star. Perfect for a Romantic getaway. Not necessarily super fancy but classy…….The Massage therapists at the spa were great and we’re such nice people. We will definitely return.

The lodge itself is far better to stay in than one of the little cabins. Why? Upon entering our cabin it smelled musty and the bathroom smelled like urine. It looked clean but SMELLED like cat pee - disgusting. The shower door wouldn’t stay closed and they give you bar of soap and say it’s for hair and body IT’S NOT! Bringing your own shampoo and conditioner to this place is an absolute must! The bed was comfortable enough but done leave the fan on to try and alleviate the smell it ticks all night long! Food was good, and service was good.

My Husband and I have stayed here twice once in the Holly Cottage and most recently the Paulownia Cottage. Both were very clean and comfy. We loved setting on the porch drinking coffee and looking at all the birds and the mountains. The breakfast each morning is fresh and delicious served with some very tasty coffee. We plan on returning and trying another cottage or room in the house. Perfect place to stay for a relaxing trip to the mountains to get away from the city.
