We were a part of a 13 member family/friend 60th birthday party reunion. The cabins were rustic looking but offered all the modern conveniences as well as new bed and new furniture comfort. The updated website provides an accurate overview. We loved the Cabin Fever grounds and the nearby town of Saluda. The on-site caretakers were friendly and responsive. The new owners have gone above and beyond to make this get-away a place to return to for many years to come. The children's play ground is even fun for adults! If you have walking challenges bring a walking stick and your sturdy shoes, and choose a cabin with level ground entry. Be sure to plan some down-time to enjoy the lovely screened in porches over-looking the forest. There is also a moderate hike to a mountain top platform with lovely views of the area. Thank you! Cabin Fever is a real gem.

We stayed in the High Top cabin and were very happy with the overall appearance and cleanliness of the cabin. We were able to check in a little earlier than 3 pm which was great. When we entered the cabin it had a welcome aroma of fresh wood. You can tell that the cabin had recently been updated. The bathroom had a newer shower and fixtures as did the kitchen sink. We felt safe having the bear bars at night while we slept. The firepit was in great shape and the chairs surrounding it were very comfortable. The 2 things I would like to see improved upon are: The mattress on the king-size bed was very old and uncomfortable. When you slept you would roll into the center because it had a large dip in it. The firewood for the firepit and fireplace was not seasoned and was very difficult to get to ignite. We will definitely be returning customers!

My husband and I need a break from our busy lives. We found these cabins and took a chance. Let me tell you, we couldn't be happier. It was in the middle of no where, which is what we wanted. The cabin was amazing and comfy. Everything that we needed while we were there was there. Our cabin was the most secluded cabin that they had and well worth it. Prices are amazing. I have shown so many people the pics that I took and everyone is wanting to know where it was and how it was. The staff was so polite and caring as well. We will definitely be back. Already planning our next trip for hopefully this winter. So glad that we chose this over some motel.

We rented Ma and Pa, their biggest cabin, for a family birthday celebration. We shopped in the town of Saluda (loved Mewdlics and the Old Hardware Store), grilled burgers on our own charcoal grill by our firepit, enjoyed fires in the Buck Stove while visiting in the living room on the new living room furniture, slept great in the beds, enjoyed the heated floors in the newly remodeled bathroom, hiked on the property to a little waterfall, and enjoyed a game of horse shoes. Great place to enjoy time with family and friends with a rustic feel but modern conveniences. Dani was very responsive to our requests for more firewood and towels when needed. We'll be back!

We stayed in the wonderful Buzzard Roost cabin (at Cabin Fever) for two nights in early October 2021. The cabin was large, yet cozy, with a considerable balcony and screened-in porch. Clean and functional with a living room, small kitchen with all the essentials, a bedroom with a King-sized and Queen-sized bed, and a loft bedroom, the cabins feel remote and peaceful, yet are near the quaint town of Saluda. A fire pit, picnic table and benches and grill adjacent to the cabin rounded out the rustic nature of the place. And Cabin Fever is doggie-friendly; we so appreciated having our poodle, Sara, with us. Danni, the proprietor, was very friendly and helpful in letting us know about the sights; we visited beautiful Dupont State Forest and High Falls, and nearby Asheville. We highly recommend Cabin Fever.

This is our 5th or 6th visit to Cabin Fever over the past 5 years. We always enjoy our experiences, but we had almost a foot of snowfall this time. It was magical :) The charming towns of Saluda & Tryon are both fun to visit, too, with really good restaurants and unique shops. The caretakers were very kind and, indeed, took great care of us. We look forward to our next visit!

Rented the High Top cabin in January. Check in/out consisted of the key being left on a counter - no contact with an actual person. Floor was gross and full of long, white dog hair. We swept up 3 dust pans full of white dog hair in the living room alone. The comforters had this same long, white dog hair on them and the sheets had sand and grit on them. It was apparent that the sheets and comforters where not cleaned between guests. Roof leaked in living room and kitchen - we moved bowls around to catch as much water as we could. Kitchen leaked right over an electrical outlet, the cords beside the fridge had drops of water hanging off of them. Doors don't close completely, there was at least a 3 inch gap in the bottom of the back door. Huge spiders in the kitchen sink and shower. The screened in porch had so much mud washed up on it that you could not use the door to the porch because it wouldn't open due to the mud piled up. Wifi does not work at all. You have free firewood but you have to get the wood yourself and bring it to your cabin - wood is located at the office. You are asked to make the beds up, sweep and take your own trash to the dumpster when you leave. The dumpster was overflowing and we had to take the trash with us. We paid $170/night and would have been better off sleeping in a tent. I am extremely disappointed! We looked at the reviews before booking this place. Not sure how they have ANY good reviews? If you are thinking of staying here......DON"T!

This was our first time to stay at Cabin Fever and we had a wonderful time. We stayed in Summer Breezz and it had all that we needed. Some of the things we really liked were the buck stove, a really cold refrigerator(good for ice cold milk), good water pressure in the shower, the front porch and the screen in back patio as well as the fire pit out back. We also took a few adventures to nearby Pearson's Falls and then a drive to Looking Glass Falls in the Pisgah National Forest. Both are beautiful. We loved everything and would definitely return someday. We highly recommend Cabin Fever for a laid back getaway.

It is a small, rustic, quiet area of cabins. Everything is well kept up and comfortable. The staff person was very nice and helpful. It is located in a beautiful section of woods. Most cabins have individual fire pits with free wood readily accessible. Roads to cabins well lit. Inside cabins had most necessities provided and more available upon asking. Many places of interest are within short drive, as well as restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay here. So relaxing and peaceful. I would highly recommend Cabin Fever for a relaxing stay for both singles, couples, and families during any season. We will stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at our cabin and especially enjoyed relaxing on the porch or having a campfire outside. Dani was very friendly and helpful when we checked in and told us of nearby things to do. The cabins are spread out on the property so you feel like you have more privacy. Our cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely come back!! Maybe this winter. Thank you!
