This was our second stay at Across the Pond, which we now think of it as our "secret get-away". We booked three nights in the Presley Suite and savored every one of them. The house is beautifully restored and tastefully decorated with a mix of modern amenities, English sports memorabilia, a ton of books, provocative art and elegant furniture. Everything at this place invites you to relax. This year we especially enjoyed the renovated patio area (see pictures). Andrew and Mary have traveled the world and are excellent conversationalists and super helpful hosts with lots of local recommendations. There is always a variety of yummy breakfasts--my favorite this time was the pecan French toast "explosion" while my hubby always has the Full English--and lots of cozy corners to retire to with a book. Downtown Salisbury is completely walkable and charming and has several excellent restaurants. We loved the Salty Caper for pizza and had an excellent cuban meal at Mambo Grill & Tapas.

My wife and I had stayed here for a quick Anniversary getaway and this lovely house couldn't have been more perfect. When we arrived the owners explained to us that they were having AC troubles (home ownership at its greatest lol) and had already made arrangements for us to use which was so nice, we truly felt that Mary and Andy, the owners, cared and went above and beyond to show it. The afternoon tea & beverages was a great experience and the Little Shop of Horrors musical that evening did not disappoint. Salisbury is such a quaint and lovely town, we had no idea and have lived less than 45 minutes away. Our breakfast the next morning was delicious. Our trip was the perfect getaway so forget the hotels and chains and do yourself a favor and stay here at Across the Pond Bed and Breakfast. You will not be disappointed.

We are so glad our daughter suggested staying at Across the Pond. We visited family over 4th of July weekend and stayed here for three nights. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. Mary and Andrew couldn't be better hosts and made us feel right at home. We will definitely return our next visit to Salisbury.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Our hosts were friendly and gracious. We arrived by train, and they offered to pick us up and return us to the station after check out. Upon arrival we were amazed at the beauty of this restored home. It was pristine and welcoming. We were given a tour of the common areas, which were bright and comfortable. Throughout our stay, our hosts were available to answer questions and direct us as needed. Each day we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast and a 5pm reception with beverages. Our room was clean and quite beautiful, fully stocked with all of our needs. We highly recommend a stay and we hope to return one day.

Wow! I needed this perfect stay! So grateful for the hospitality of Mary and Andy. I loved every minute of my stay. I loved too that it is so close to downtown - just a few blocks away - and that there are so many spots to sit and read! Go! You will love it!

This lovely Bed and Breakfast is run by Mary and Andy. They designed this old house into a beautiful home with so much charm. They make you feel so welcoming and at home. The Matisse room was so comfortable and relaxing. It was stocked with everything you needed for a wonderful stay. The rooms are so clean. The white noise machine was great addition. During their " Happy Hour" we talked so much we almost missed our dinner reservation. Breakfast was delicious. wished we could have stayed longer and visited more of the town. I will recommend this wonderful Bed and Breakfast to everyone!!

We spent the week-end at Across the Pond B & B, and it was wonderful! The room was well appointed, and the mattress was very comfortable. The hosts, Andrew and Mary, were welcoming and made us feel like we were family. The English breakfasts were spot on! The location is is within walking distance to the main street. Don't pass up this B&B, it's the best!

This was our second visit, so enjoyed our first visit we made sure our first trip after the pandemic included Across the Pond. The accommodations are great and the B & B owners are just the nicest people. This is a must stop for us if we are within a hundred miles.

What a pleasant surprise to find a B and B run by a delightful British pair in the Charlotte area. The five star reviews are spot on. From the charming and well appointed traditional home to the congenial hosts to the very clean and bright rooms and last but not least the delicious breakfasts, this is a top B and B in every way. The bed was so comfortable that I had a very hard time removing myself from it!! Pure peace and relaxation. As for the trains, we were there to see a train exhibit at the NC Museum of Transportation in Spencer. It’s a great place for children and adults to visit.
